What body hair do you remove

To remove body hair or not remove body hair - That is the question. And as with most everything, there are, (at least), two beliefs about what to do with body hair. One belief is that you should not remove your body hair because it protects skin from dirt and germs, provides cushioning for sensitive areas, lessens the friction between skin and clothes, holds in heat to keep you warm when you need it and retains your personal scent, which may attract your potential mate. Another belief is that you should remove your body hair because it holds dirt and germs, interferes with sensations in sensitive areas, causes friction between skin and clothes, and holds in heat which creates your personal scent, which repels everyone. Some people, both male and female, believe because you're born with body hair, it's best to just let it grow. These people add that a big benefit is you don't have to spend your time or money removing it. Other people believe just because you're born with body hair, doesn't mean you have to accept it. These people believe it's their body, (and hair), to do what they please and the big benefit for them is they say they look and feel better because they remove their body hair. Since the human animal has walked this planet, body hair has played a couple of important roles. Before clothing, as protection and a signal of sexual maturity. Since clothing, a signal of sexual maturity. Today, neither of these roles apply. And it seems even evolution is playing a part towards less hair. It's a genetic fact that since the need of body hair as protection has become unnecessary because of wearing clothing, with each generation males have become noticeably less hairy. Even though some males still believe that their body hair is a measure of their manliness, in today's world, being a hairy male does not represent being manly like it did in the past. In fact these days, most people, of both sexes, really prefer smooth bodies. So with body hair being useless, it's more than acceptable for a male to trim his body hair or even become a full body shaver - Especially if he has a lot of hair. Now be honest - What's your response when you see a male with a really hairy chest or back? Most males today have a better sense of how to project the most positive image and remove excess body hair, particularly on the chest and back. Removing chest and back hairs can be beneficial on both hygienic and aesthetic levels. A male with a hairless and toned body is very attractive to others. Now be honest - What's your response when you see a female with bushy armpits, scraggly bikini lines and hairy legs at the pool or beach? Unless you're in France, forget that hairy armpits on females is considered chic. Bushy armpits on males are not attractive either. Both males and females can improve their personal hygiene with groomed armpits. Bushy armpits generate extra heat, encourage the growth of bacteria and most often create heavier perspiration, resulting in an unpleasant odor. So whether you choose to just trim this hair or completely remove it, your armpits will tell onlookers that you're tidy and clean. Now, with all of today's hair removal products, there's really no excuse for any, (conscientious), female wearing a skimpy swimsuit, not to be a body shaver. A female may have a beautifully shaped and toned body which looks great in a thong bikini, but the entire image will be ruined if there are scraggly pubic hairs sticking out. To at least trim or remove hair in the genital area will not only improve appearance, it will also improve personal hygiene. Less hair in this area means less heat and consequently, less build up of bacteria and unpleasant odor. This holds true for males as well as females. And - You won't know unless you try - If you remove the hair in the genital area, it may even enhance your sex life. Most people today say that if their partner's genital area were well groomed, they'd be paying more attention to this area. How about you? Do you prefer your partner's genital area neatly groomed or unkempt and hairy? Most people would agree that we all want to look the best we can. Whether you choose to just trim your body hair or become a full body shaver, grooming your body hair is a basic step towards being more presentable. Some hair removal methods are designed specifically for different parts of the body. But there is shaving tool that is specifically designed to remove hair from every part of the body. Do your own research. You'll be glad you did.

What can you do about facial hair removal

Your face is the first thing that people see. The last thing that you want is to have ugly facial hair causing others to look at you. And, it is just uncomfortable. Is there any solution for facial hair removal? Yes, there are many. You have options to removal much of the hair on your face including your eyebrows, the checks and chin, the upper lip and the nose hair. But, what is the right solution for doing so? Facial Hair Removal For Men First and foremost, men have many tools to help them with facial hair removal. For most men, the best method to use is that of shaving. If you are like most men, you realize the benefits of shaving with a good quality razor. You have a large selection of them to choose from as many companies are putting out better and better quality options. And, to make shaving less painful, there are shaving creams and gels that can help to reduce the irritation of the skin. Still, there are other options. For The Ladies For ladies who are fighting facial hair removal, there are fewer options but many that will work just fine. Shaving is not a good thing for most women. It can cause great irritation and is not necessary for the fine hair that most women battle. Most women are dealing with unwanted hair on their upper lip or strays here and there. In most cases, they will pluck them to rid them. Yes, it can hurt to do this, but it is a deep method of hair removal that should last several weeks. Still, there are other options available. Depilatories: These are inexpensive solutions for hair removal of the face. If you are careful, they can be effective at dissolving visible hair. You can do this at home, but you will need to do it each time hair becomes visible. Lasers? Electrolysis? These are also options. These offer permanent facial hair removal. By destroying the follicle in which hair grows from, the hair will no longer grow. While they can be costly, and may need to be done several times to be effective, they can actually help you to gain permanent hair removal as well as less painful ways of getting it. Waxing: Ouch! Yes, waxing does hurt a bit but it is a great way of getting hair removal for both men and women. The hair is plucked from the root, which means that it will not grow back for several weeks. You can do this at your home or have a professional help you. Which is the best option for removing hair from your face? The bottom line is that it is up to you. While not one method is fool proof and right for everyone, most of these methods can be done quite safely and to satisfy just about everyone’s needs.

What causes cellulite and how to prevent it

It is a common knowledge that the appearance of cellulite is more common in women; and their age is of minor importance here since cellulite is often caused by hormonal disorders. During the onset of puberty the body begins to produce hormones, including female ones that are responsible for formation of adipose tissue and may damage circulation and drainage in the tissues under the skin. However, abnormal changes in tissues can be avoided if hormonal disorders are taken care of on the early stages. The young bodies can defend themselves better; and such disorders in teens are caused mostly by changes in metabolic process and thus are of temporary nature. A number of factors can cause cellulite, however, the main causes are hereditary factors and unhealthy lifestyle. Hereditary factor cannot be denied since there are too many examples of this abound. What is more, however paradoxical it may seem, family upbringing plays a significant role in why we live an unhealthy lifestyle. The expression unhealthy lifestyle has an extensive meaning and includes a number of factors characteristic of human beings. In this connection the Oriental wisdom should be mentioned: in Orientalism the harmony and ways to achieve it were explored for years. The life is conceived by Oriental people as the unity of light yang and dark yin. There is no telling that yang is good and should exist, while yin is bad and should be got rid of. Such approach is typical of a Westerner accustomed to oppose good to evil. A Chinese or Japanese, however, sees no conflict here, and accepts the world as is, with any seeming contradictions. In fact, who can say for sure what is better and what is worse: warmth or cold, day or night, man or woman? These are indivisible and interconnected components of our world that form the world order – Dao. And a human’s aim is to cognize Dao, and achieve harmony by adjusting the life to the naturalness of the world. It surely requires many efforts, and we have to rid ourselves step by step of vileness in us. If we consider this desire from the point of view of our flesh, we may come to many questions. And the first of them is what the right and healthy diet is?

What curling irons are the best ones

With all of the styling tool options available in today’s market, it can be very confusing to choose the best curling iron for your hair. I mean, let’s face it; most curling irons claim to be the best buy, but are they really? So, what should you really look for in a curling iron and what should you avoid? When choosing the best curling iron for your hair, you should discount everything that companies say about their product in order to market it. I mean, they have a vested interest in selling more curling irons, so who would believe what they had to say anyway? But you should pay attention to what is written on the packaging in the small letters. The first thing that you should look for is a thermostat controlled heat setting. This feature will allow you to select the temperature of the curling iron and set it according to how much heat you need to style your hair. You see, not all hair can withstand the same amount of heat. Some hair types, like fine hair, can only withstand minimal heat while coarse hair may need more intense heat to achieve any curl. So, choosing a curling iron without this setting could result in more damage than is necessary or styles that are hard to achieve and maintain. Another thing that you should pay attention to is what type of material the barrel is made out of. On most irons, the barrel is made of metal, but you can find irons that are velvet covered and ceramic plated. Velvet covered irons are great for hair that is easily snagged and broken. Ceramic plated irons work to infuse moisture into the hair strands while it is being curled. For the most part, a metal barreled iron will do and these are the least expensive. But if your hair is damaged or dull, you might want to spend a little extra for the ceramic-plated iron. The first thing to wear out on a curling iron is usually the cord. This is because the cord is put under a lot of pressure at the point where it connects with the curling iron when you move the iron this way and that. To get an iron that lasts, choose an iron with a swivel cord connection. This type of cord will move as you move thus reducing the stress to the inner wires. So, the next time you choose to buy a curling iron, pay less attention to the brand name and pomp surrounding a particular iron and look for features that you really need.

    What does hypoallergenic mean anyway

The word “hypoallergenic” is a term that probably most of us have run across. It is used in advertising and placed on product labels of shampoos, moisturizers, make-up, and even jewelry. Most people think it means that a product that is hypoallergenic won’t react with their allergies. But is this really what it means? Cosmetics advertisers first used the word in the 60’s. It comes from the Greek prefix hypo, which translates to below or less. So the word translates to “less allergens”. Since it’s inception it has been widely adopted and used by advertisers, manufacturers, and marketers to sell products that claim to be gentler on the skin than other products similar to it. But is this really true? The American Food and Drug Administration has stated, “ Hypoallergenic cosmetics are products that manufacturers claim produce fewer allergic reactions than other cosmetic products. Consumers with hypersensitive skin, and even those with "normal" skin, may be led to believe that these products will be gentler to their skin than non-hypoallergenic cosmetics. There are no Federal standards or definitions that govern the use of the term "hypoallergenic." The term means whatever a particular company wants it to mean. Manufacturers of cosmetics labeled as hypoallergenic are not required to submit substantiation of their hypoallergenicity claims to FDA. The term "hypoallergenic" may have considerable market value in promoting cosmetic products to consumers on a retail basis, but dermatologists say it has very little meaning.” The FDA attempted to put regulations on products that claimed to be hypoallergenic in 1974. It stated that a product could be labeled hypoallergenic only if studies were conducted on human subjects and it showed a significantly lower reaction to allergies than products not making the claim. It then said the companies had to conduct these tests on their own and (most importantly) at their own expense. This of course caused major problems and companies immediately began lawsuits against the decision, claiming that the tests “would pose an undue economic burden on them.” The two biggest challengers of this attempt at regulation were Almay and Clinique, two manufacturers of “hypoallergenic” cosmetics. The FDA tried again to regulate the use of the word on June 6, 1975 by still requiring companies to do scientific studies but the procedures for the tests were changed to reduce the cost to the manufacturers. This still didn’t sit well with the companies who apparently wanted no regulations on what they were producing. Cosmetic companies challenged the FDA decision in the U. S. Court of Appeals, which ruled that the regulation was invalid. The court said the FDA’s definition of “hypoallergenic” was unfair because a lack of evidence that consumers perceived the term in the way it is described by the organization. The result? Manufacturers can continue to advertise and label their products “hypoallergenic” without any kind of regulation or standard set forth by the government. Consumers have no assurance that a product labeled “hypoallergenic” is any less reactive than any other product. Theoretically, a company could put out a product that is “hypoallergenic” that is full of toxins and allergens. The one small victory that the FDA seems to have had is that at least now manufacturers are now required to put the ingredients on the labels of the products so that consumers can avoid substances that they know they are allergic to or have had problems with in the past. As consumers, we must be aware of ingredients in the products we use because apparently the companies who make them aren’t very concerned about our health over their profit margins. There is no doubt that some products out there that claim to be hypoallergenic actually are, but if you are a smart consumer and concerned for you and your family’s health, you’ll do the research yourself and not rely on these companies claims. Hypoallergenic? More like hypohonest.

What goes into skin care products

The market in beauty products has grown significantly in the last 25 years but in the last 10 years there has been an increasing interest in the ingredients contained within the lotions, creams and potions we apply so liberally to our skin - the largest organ of our human bodies. Many main stream manufacturers still include a range of not so natural ingredients in their products: - waste products from the petrochemical industry - lead and other heavy metals - products extracted from animal carcasses Many of these ingredients are given scientific sounding names. While the cynic may say this is a deliberate attempt to confuse the consumer, a more charitable view is that this is done in pursuit of accurate labeling. As a result of the heightened awareness of health matters and the confusion concerning ingredients and labelling, a new sector of this lucrative market has arisen. The need for natural skin care and cosmetics. But just how natural is natural? Many consumers require natural ingredients but are not prepared to accept the necessary compromise in product performance. A classic example is with the ingredient Sodium Lauryl Sulphate. This is a synthetic detergent derived from coconut oil and it appears in a wide range of shampoos, bath products, toothpastes and liquid soaps. It is what gives these products the luxurious bubbles and lather to which we have all become accustomed. A number of studies have suggested that this ingredient is harmful and many consumers now seek products containing an alternative. Manufacturers then developed Sodium Laureth Sulphate, which is considered less irritating than Sodium Lauryl Sulphate. When this was condemned, Ammonium Laureth Sulphate and Ammonium Lauryl Sulphate were substituted. Once again these are synthetic detergents developed from coconut oil and they are still considered to be an irritant. Some studies have also suggested they may be carcinogenic. Unless consumers have a knowledge of bio-chemistry it is almost impossible to discern what ingredients are natural and what are not. The SLS saga is but one example of this confusion. It is ironic that a number of "natural" manufacturers aggressively promote their products by denigrating the products of competing companies - despite the fact that the ingredients they contain are essentially the same. Consumers need to make themselves aware of the real meanings behind the mysterious names on their cosmetic bottles and jars and educate themselves about the various aliases they are likely to encounter. Depending on the reasons for wanting to purchase natural products, some ingredients may be more acceptable than others. Take Lanolin for example. Lanolin is extracted from the fleece of sheep. It has been shown to contain a large number of chemicals used to kill parasites that may live on the sheep. Many eczema sufferers find that treatment with lanolin based products - despite the chemicals - helps to reduce symptoms. The benefits of Lanolin treatment outweigh the disadvantage of potential contaminants. This is a value judgement that individuals will need to make. Of course, one of the best ways to ensure that your products are natural is to make them yourself. There is a growing number of companies providing organic based ingredients to facilitate home manufacture of products. Natural cosmetics are surprisingly easy to make in the home using nothing more than regular kitchen equipment. This may be an alternative worth checking-out

    What is a manicure

A manicure is a cosmetic beauty treatment for the fingernails and hands. A manicure can treat just the hands, just the nails, or both. A standard manicure usually includes filing and shaping of the nails and the application of polish. As part of the manicure, treatments for hands usually include soaking in a softening substance and application of hand lotion. The word "manicure" comes from the Latin manus, meaning "hand," and cura meaning "care". The process for a manicure begins with ensuring that the working area and tools are sanitized and conveniently located. This might include sanitizing the working surface, such as a table top, placing clean metal implements into a jar with sanitizing liquid, and having sanitized towels and such near the working area. Normally a manicure starts with sanitizing of the subject's hands. Old nail polish or artificial nails are removed. The hands are then cleaned with soap and hot water and rinsing with hot water. During the next phase of a manicure, the fingernails are then trimmed and filed to the desired length and shape using a fingernail file. Metal nail files can be used for rapid removal of nail material, however, fine glass files are preferred. Disposable two-sided emery boards can also be used. Proper filing technique starts with the file at the outer edge of the nail, moving towards the center. This is repeated from the other side of the nail to the center. The file should not be moved back and forth in a saw-like motion. The cuticles are then pushed back with a cuticle pusher. A cuticle pusher is simply a wooden stick with a flat end, sometimes wrapped in cotton. Metal cuticle pushers should be used with great care, as they can damage the fingernail matrix. Orangewood is the preferred material because of its softness. In this phase of the manicure, the fingernails are polished with a polishing board made of hard foam, paper, or plastic. A softer foam layer is added to each side, and fine polishing surfaces are placed on the foam. To conclude the manicure, in most cases, the manicurist applies at least one layer of either clear polish meant to strengthen weak nails or several layers of color polish and top coat. A manicure is usually finished with a hand massage using hand lotion or oils.

    What is a perfect nose

As Los Angeles plastic surgeon specializing in rhinoplasty, I am frequently asked by my patients to give them a perfect nose. Well, there not one perfect nose that can work for everyone. When looking at pictures of models or celebrities who are considered to have beautiful noses, one can clearly see they all have different noses. It is not necessarily a certain size or shape of the nose that makes it beautiful but rather how well the nose fits with the rest of the face. However, there are general characteristics of a male and female know that people find attractive. For example, in most women raised tips with a gently (concave) curve of the dorsum results in a feminine and natural appearing nose. The dorsum is the top edge of the nose. Visit my our rhinoplasty before and after section to view such pictures. During nose surgery (rhinoplasty), the hump on the dorsum is gently shaved until a natural appearing curve is achieved. The next step in rhinoplasty is to raise the tip. In women the tip is raised such that the angle between the bottom portion of the nose and upper lip is about 95-100 degrees. The goals for rhinoplasty in men are slightly different that those in women. In most men a straight (not curved) dorsum is more appropriate. The tip is typically raised less maintaining the angle between the bottom of the nose and upper lip of about 90 degrees. Some men, however, will prefer to have a gently curve and the tip raised higher. So it is important for any rhinoplasty surgeon, to spend enough time with the patient discussing his or her goal of nose surgery, as well as likely outcomes and limitations. In my practice, I meet with patients at least twice before the day of surgery to have these discussions. More information about rhinoplasty and before and after photographs of nose reshaping surgery can be found on our website. What is botox

What is Botox? Botox is a trade name for botulinum toxin A. In this way, Botox is related to botulism. Botulism is a form of food poisoning. Botulinum toxin A is one of the neurotoxins (a neurotoxin is a toxin that acts specifically on nervous tissue) produced by Clostridium botulinum. The most serious symptom of botulism is paralysis, which in some cases has proven to be fatal. The botulinum toxins (there are seven -- types are A through G) attach themselves to nerve endings. Once this happens, acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter responsible for triggering muscle contractions, cannot be released. A series of proteins are essential for the release of acetylcholine. Certain botulinum toxins attack these proteins. Basically, the botulinum toxins block the signals that would normally tell your muscles to contract. Say, for example, it attacks the muscles in your chest -- this could have a profound impact on your breathing. When people die from botulism, this is often the cause -- the respiratory muscles are paralyzed so it’s impossible to breathe. Why Botox? At this point, you may be wondering why anyone would want to have a botulinum toxin injected into his or her body. The answer is simple: If an area of the body can't move, it can't wrinkle. Botox injections are the fastest-growing cosmetic procedure in the industry, according to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). In 2001, more than 1.6 million people received injections, an increase of 46 percent over the previous year. More popular than breast enhancement surgery and a potential blockbuster, Botox is regarded by some as the ultimate fountain of youth. A little history Botox was first approved in 1989 to treat two eye muscle disorders--uncontrollable blinking (blepharospasm) and misaligned eyes (strabismus). In 2000, the toxin was approved to treat a neurological movement disorder that causes severe neck and shoulder contractions, known as cervical dystonia. As an unusual side effect of the eye disorder treatment, doctors observed that Botox softened the vertical frown (glabellar) lines between the eyebrows that tend to make people look tired, angry or displeased. But until this improvement was actually demonstrated in clinical studies, Allergan Inc., of Irvine, Calif., was prohibited from making this claim for the product. By April 2002, the FDA was satisfied by its review of studies indicating that Botox reduced the severity of frown lines for up to 120 days. The agency then granted approval to use the drug for this condition. How is Botox applied? Botox is injected with a very tiny needle. After Botox injection, the muscles will relax and the skin will smooth out over about 5 days. The effect usually lasts about six months, and can be repeated when needed. There are very few side effects to this procedure. While allergy to any medicine is possible, it is rare with Botox. While a small amount of brow or lid droop is possible, it is unusual and can usually be avoided by not treating the area just above the outer portion of the brow. If it does happen, it goes away by itself. Originally used for treating nervous twitch of the eyelid muscles, it was discovered that the crow’s feet, frown lines and forehead creases can be flattened dramatically. Neck Bands can sometimes be helped also. Who Can Provide Botox Cosmetic Treatments? Any authorized healthcare professional can administer BOTOX® Cosmetic, but dermatologists, plastic surgeons, ophthalmologists, otolaryngologists (ear, nose, and throat doctors), or physicians specializing in cosmetic procedures are generally more experienced. Botox is one of the most popular cosmetic “mini-treatments” today. This procedure can be done on a lunch break and requires no anesthesia or recovery. Choosing a Doctor You want to find a doctor with experience—someone familiar with injecting Botox Cosmetic. To make the selection process easier, consider choosing a doctor from the Botox Cosmetic Physicians’ Network. Members of the Network have medical practices that focus on facial aesthetics, as well as detailed knowledge of facial anatomy and experience injecting Botox Cosmetic. Their practices also offer other facial aesthetic treatments. At the end of this article there is a link to finding a qualified Botox doctor in Spain. Step-by-Step Here's what you might expect at the doctor's office from the moment you arrive until your procedure is done. (Please note that although this experience is typical, the routine at your doctor's office may be different.) • Your doctor will determine where to administer the injections by examining your ability to move certain muscles in your brow area. The location, size, and use of the muscles that create a furrowed brow vary markedly among individuals. • Your doctor will administer several tiny injections of Botox Cosmetic directly into the muscles that cause those moderate to severe frown lines between the brows. • No anesthesia is required, although your doctor may choose to numb the area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream prior to injecting. Discomfort is usually minimal and brief. Most patients compare the sensation to a pin prick. You may resume normal activity immediately. You may see a marked improvement in the moderate to severe frown lines between your brows within days. Improvement may continue for as long as a month, and could last up to 4 months.

    What is digital nail art

: How is the procedure performed? After the nails are given a basic manicure, which involves cleaning the nail, removing the cuticle and any dead skin around the edge of the nail.

  • The nails can then be given a base coat (usually a strong white) to enhance a coloured design.
  • Or if the client wishes to have a natural look in the back ground of the design, then no base coat is required.
  • Then the activation coat is applied - this ensures that the design dries quickly.
  • The client chooses their design either from preset designs or from thier own picture - which can be scanned into the computer.
  • After placing the hand into the machine the design can then be printed. How long does it take? The printing itself takes approximately 10 seconds per nail, and depends on the design - sometimes even quicker. The whole process including nail preperation and drying of coats in between can take 15 minutes. How long do the designs last? They last as long as a normal nail varnish treatment. With the application of two thin coats of clear nail varnish - paying special attention to the tips, then if you are carefull with your nails, the designs can last up two weeks or longer. Are the inks and varnishes dangerous? All the inks and varnishes have been tested to comply with all safety standards and are perfectly safe. Are your hands safe in the machine? Your hands are placed insde a special cradle which holds the nails at a safe distance from the printer head. The Printer actually sprays the design onto your nails, so you don't feel a thing. If by any chance, you happened to move your fingers whilst in the machine, the sensitivity of the safety cut out will stop the printing immediately. Can it print a French Manicure? Certainly can, just use the white base coat and the machine can print the french manicure with more flair and design than you could ever do with air brushing. Can it print toe nails? Yes, fashion now goes a step further, and the world of design and art is now available for your toes. Where can I get digital nail art? With expert guidance and advice from a reputable company, then using this new technology will enhance your business and bring colourfull designs into the lives of many clients nails.

    What is effective cellulite treatment

First off let me start by saying, no one is cellulite free. We all have a certain amount of cellulite underneath our skin. Of course some do have more then others, but it's a natural thing for us to have some. In a nut shell cellulite is simple fat deposits held in pockets just below the skin. The form of lipids (fats) below the skin aren't much different then those found elsewhere in the body, how ever it's because they are close to the skins surface that they cause the negative appearance. So what can you do about cellulite? Exercise is a viable option for many. Partaking in cardio activities several times a week will help burn fat, and tone the leg muscles. While this method will work for many, often sometimes some women need more then just exercise to help rid themselves of cellulite. Next on the list is the numerous medical procedures we can have done. From liposuction too vacuum and roller techniques some of these processes can be effective, how ever painful, costly, and have some nasty side effects. For some people this is the only avenue they evaluate for treating cellulite, but they're skipping over what really should be the first attack on cellulite. What is epilation

Have you wondered how many different types of hair removal exist today? Have you felt confused with all the different terms, used in this field? I don't blame you. I felt the same way before I started researching. I didn't know what the difference was between epilation and depilation. These two words sound very similar but the final results are quite different. They are both used for hair removal, but with the epilation the entire hair is removed from the follicle, whereas with the depilation the hair is removed only to the surface of the skin . This is the reason why with epilation the hair grows a lot slower compared to depilation. There is another thing, too. Depilation refers only to temporary hair removal. The most popular methods for hair removal through depilation are: shaving, depilatory and friction. On the other hand epilation can be temporary and permanent. The different methods here are: temporary - electric epilators, waxing, sugaring, tweezing; permanent - laser, photo epilation, electrolysis. Let’s discuss in more detail how the different types of epilation work. Electric epilators have rotating heads that grasp the hairs and pull them from the follicle. This method is slower than waxing, as it can't pull many hairs at the same time. Waxing is when you apply a layer of either hot or cold wax directly on the skin, which then you quickly pull with the help of a piece of cloth. It’s fast end effective but it’s also painful. People who use waxing on a regular basis say after the first several times the body gets somewhat used to the pain. Sugaring is very similar to waxing. The only difference is that you use sugar-based substance instead of wax. Tweezing refers to hair removal using tweezers to pluck hair from the follicle. It’s an effective method but it’s very slow at achieving the final task. Laser refers to a method in which a beam of laser light is projected on your skin. This beam is then attracted by the dark color of the hair. It also causes permanent damage to the follicle. Although the laser hair removal is pain-free there are some limitations to it. First, it mainly works on dark hairs and fair skins. If you are dark tanned the laser hair removal will not be very effective. Second, there aren't strong evidences that this method provides a real permanent hair removal. Third, it’s quite expensive. Photo epilation, also known as pulsed laser, is a newer method, very similar to the laser hair removal procedure. A pulsed light beam is used to destroy the follicle’s ability to produce new hair. This method is effective for any colors and types of skin but might be quite expensive, too. In the electrolysis each hair is treated individually. A needle-like device is injected into the follicle and then an electric charge is run through it. This way the follicle roots are permanently damaged. This is a very effective method, but it’s somewhat painful and it’s also very slow. I guess that's it. I tried to compile in this article the most important of what you need to remember about the different types of hair removal through epilation. I hope now you have a better idea which method will best suit your particular needs.

    What is microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a distinctly modern procedure that proves there is a place for high tech thinking in the beauty world. This unique skin treatment was developed by an Italian doctor in the mid 1980s and has since caught on all over the world. Microdermabrasion is a skin resurfacing technique that has results similar to a chemical peel or a laser peel; but it is faster, less invasive, less dangerous, and less uncomfortable than these treatments and has very comparable results. Unlike a chemical or laser peel, a microdermabrasion technique doesn’t require any recovery time. It is possible to have a microdermabrasion in the afternoon and still hit the town that very night with fresh, smooth skin. Microdermabrasion is no more invasive or time consuming than a massage or a manicure. This fast turnaround has made microdermabrasion a popular treatment. Microdermabrasion is a technique that removes the fine outer layer of skin; revealing a fresh, young looking complexion, and causing the face to quickly regenerate new layers of smooth, flawless skin that can keep you looking great for weeks. Microdermabrasion can remove superficial scars and slight pits or dents in the facial surface, such as the minor scars sometimes caused by acne. It can also reduce the appearance of wrinkles and other fine lines, which is a boon to anyone looking for a way to make their face appear younger. A few half hour sessions of microdermabrasion can wipe away damage that has accumulated over a period of many years. The equipment used in microdermabrasion can be intimidating the first time you undergo the procedure. In microdermabrasion a device sprays extremely fine crystals over the surface of the skin, then applies gentle circular pressure that works the granules against the face to loosen the outer layer of skin. After this is complete, light suction lifts the loosened layer of skin away. The entire procedure usually takes between half an hour and an hour, and is often performed by a plastic surgeon although many spas are beginning to offer this revolutionary treatment in addition to classic beauty standbys like facials. Unfortunately, one downside to microdermabrasion in the eyes of many potential customers is the cost. A single session of this uniquely high tech procedure can cost between one hundred and two hundred dollars. However, there are plenty of regular microdermabrasion clients who feel that increasing beauty is worth any financial cost.
