Wholesale tea a market of possibilities

As the business world grows, the physical globe shrinks as products from all nations become business opportunities for companies of all sizes. A wide variety of items are available and relatively simple to acquire as the internet provides a gateway to export companies from all nations. With the rise in the accessibility of “foreign” countries, one seemingly small item has now exploded onto the market; Wholesale Tea. Before only available to those with contacts in Eastern nations including, China, Japan, India, and Sri Lanka, wholesale tea has now grown to suppliers in African nations, and importers through out the world, as a simple entry of “wholesale tea” in any search engine will provide users with a list of options supplying not only suppliers of Wholesale Tea, but also suppliers of wholesale tea bags, wholesale gift boxes and gift sets containing tea, and a variety of other similar items. A now global commerce, items such as gourmet tea bags that you will find on your local supermarket shelf may have traveled from an African wholesale tea supplier, to a manufacturing company in Thailand , to the United States or England or Autstralia where you will find the tea bags in a store sold under a third company’s brand name. As you may have noticed, the tea bag market has a full listing of names and an even fuller listing of variations. Experimentation with blends and tea bag designs are the current trends in an up and coming business. This is not to say that Wholesale Tea was not available 5 years ago, but the industry has grown far beyond green tea and breakfast tea. Now we see a variety of companies creating an even larger number of options in every facet of the wholesale tea market. In regards to the tea itself, there are a multitude of tea variations, including Jasmine Green Tea, a slight variation on tradition, Rooibos, perhaps the most popular herbal tea, Lemongrass, one of many relatively new herbal teas to the mainstream industry and a very long list of blends. In the tea bag world, there are few variations with the machine packaged and stapled standard heavily dominating the market. Generally containing a low quality tea dust, these bags focus more on price than quality. Another design that is available is a pyramid shaped bag. Though packaging may not be as easy and all practicality aside, the quality is generally higher than the standard as some form of loose tea is included inside and the look is potentially more appealing. The newest entry to the market is a smooth balance between the two. Square and Round shaped, hand sewn bags are now starting to make their way to the industry with a few select companies offering both manufacturing and wholesale tea bag distribution. A new method allowing for design flexibility and the inclusion of high quality loose tea, these gourmet tea bags will put up a good fight against the aforementioned variations. With the many variables available in both tea blend and tea bag manufacturing, wholesale tea is a prime example of how with the growth of communication and transportation, business opportunities are as easy to find as your kitchen cabinet. With a little creativity and a good manufacturer, any budding entrepreneur looking for an opening, or any currently established business looking to expand, can now step into the Tea bag world.

    Why

: Many articles supply answers, but here I do not. Here, I ask the questions. If you want to rack your brains for finding the answers to these life conundrums. But, I warn you. Beware. These are not easy, and though somewhat hilarious and funny, they are real and true to life. Should I begin? Ok, here I go: 1) How come Tarzan has no bears even though he grows up with wolves in the jungle? 2) Why does glue not stick to the insides of the tube or can that it comes in? 3) Why do they use sterile injections when executing someone who is condemned to death? 4) Why do we press down harder and harder or the remote controls even though we know that the batteries are low? 5) Why is it that when someone hits us in the ankles with his supermarket trolley and then appologizes, do we say that everything is ok? I mean, things are not really fine. Why is it that we do not say that it hurts? 6) Why is it that whatever the color of the bath soap, the bubbles are always white? 7) Why is it that you will never find a day when mattresses are not on sale? 8) Why is it that online casinos always offer big prize money for their tournaments but never reveal the real name of the winner after the competition is over? 9) If human beings evolved from monkeys, why is it that there still are monkeys? 10) Why did the Japanese Kamikaze pilots wear helmets during the second World War? 11) Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest but, then, duck when the empty gun is thrown at him. 12) Why do banks charge a commission when you go into debt even though they know that there is no money in that account? 13) Why do people go back again and again to the refrigerator hoping that something new to eat will appear there? 14) Why do people move their vacuum cleaner over a thin thread lying on the floor, bend down, pick it up, examine it, and then, place it on the floor again and move the vacuum over it again? 15) Why do people believe it when they are told that there are more than four billion stars, but when they see a sign that says wet paint, they have to touch and check? 16) Why does a plastic bag not open at the end where you first try to open it? 17) Why do you never hear jokes about father in laws? 18) Why are there dead insects inside enclosed electric lamps? 19) Why is it that in winter we try and keep the house as warm as it was during the summer when back in the summer we hated the heat? 20) Why is it that every time you try and catch something that is about to fall off the table, you always hit something else and drop that instead? Conclusion: Life has many oddities and conundrums: some funny, some less. I have mentioned but a few. Think of more? Send them to me.

Why overcoming objections can lose the sale

: "Objections" or "Concerns" The problem is, that's where you often lose them, because reacting to "objections" almost inevitably lets prospects pigeonhole you as "salesperson". Think about it for a moment. When prospects raise an objection and you cleverly dismiss it, what often happens? They come up with even more objections. When you dismiss those, they may suddenly remember that they have another appointment, or that they have to make an important call. Or they may agree to your offer…and then a day or two later you get a message that they're not going to go forward after all. That's probably the most demoralizing outcome of all, because you thought you "had" that sale, and they've reneged on you. What's happening here? It's about sales pressure. When you're so focused on making the sale that you counter a prospect's objections, you're pressuring them. It's that simple. I'd like to share with you a different perspective on how to view objections. Objections aren't roadblocks, red flags, or stop signs. They're an opportunity to learn more about your prospect's truth so you and they can decide whether the solution you're offering can solve their problem or issue. In fact, we should probably stop using the term "objections" entirely and start talking about "concerns," because that's what objections really are. But for you to be able to look at objections this way, you have to let go of the traditional goal of selling, which is to make the sale. When we adopt the mindset that objections are another way to learn about a prospect's truth, we stop panicking and falling into the trap of pressuring them that chases them away. When we respond to objections in a way that invites them to share more about their situation with us, we sustain and enhance the relationship of mutual trust and openness we've shared so far. When we don't fall into the traditional "I've got to rescue this sale" reaction, we free ourselves to continue the process of discovering whether we can help solve a problem. Here's another advantage of reframing how you view objections -- they give you another opportunity to learn whether your prospect is a match for what you have to offer. When you stop trying to overcome objections and just listen, you may hear that there really is a problem around whether your product or service is a fit for them. In that case, you and they can talk further, or you may decide it would be best to wish them well and move on. This means that you can make better use of your time. "This all sounds great," you're probably thinking. "But how do I actually do it?" Common "Objections" Here are some specifics about how you can respond to 3 common "objections" in ways that avoid introducing sales pressure and open the conversation to more exploration of your prospect's truth. "Your price is too high." Traditional sales approaches tell you to defend your pricing or to deny that it's too high. Consider this response instead: "You are right, it can be perceived as high, especially if you haven't had a chance to experience the solution yet. The last thing I want to do is have you feel any pressure from me, that I'm trying to persuade you otherwise. Maybe it might help if we took a look at the core issues this should solve for you and then identify what the return will be. That might provide you with a broader perspective on the pricing, would you be open to that?" By inviting the other person to tell you more, instead of challenging or denying how they view things, you're validating their viewpoint and reopening the conversation around the idea of why they feel the price is high. By not trying to counter the "objection," you allow the dialogue to move back to a discussion that centers around whether you're a good match for each other. "Why should I go with you?" Traditional sales approaches to tell us to defend our company and our solution and to try to persuade prospects as to why we're better. Instead, consider saying something along these line, in a relaxed, low-key way: (Gentle pause.) "I'm not quite convinced you should yet, not until you're completely comfortable with the reasons why this solution might be best for you. The last thing I want to do is put pressure on you by trying to convince you to do something you may or may not want to do. Would it make sense for us to take a look at the actual issues you want to solve and then see if we are a fit?" Here again, you're not creating sales pressure by defending your solution. You're simply communicating that you're focused solely on helping them to solve their problem. "We don't have the budget for that." Again, traditional sales approaches focus on overcoming this kind of objection by showing prospects why they should choose your solution. Think about saying this instead, in a very calm, relaxed voice: "That's not a problem. (Gentle pause.) Quite a few of our clients originally had not allocated a budget for this, mostly because they hadn't become aware of all their options. Would you be open to a different perspective on how this could impact your business and provide you with a solid return?" When prospects express a concern and you reply in a very calm, relaxed voice, "That's not a problem," you're validating whatever they said as having truth. "That's not a problem" immediately defuses any tension and allows you both to continue your dialogue. You're not jumping frantically into defending your product or service -- you're simply suggesting that it might make sense to continue your conversation to see if there really is a justification for solving a problem they might have. One More Advantage… Here's one more benefit you're likely to experience if you start thinking about concerns rather than objections: less stress. Sherri put it well when she called me back the other day: "Ari, I have to tell you how much more effortless and relaxed my sales conversations have been since I started thinking about 'concerns' instead of 'objections.' It's made a huge difference. I can almost see prospects breathe a sigh of relief when they raise a concern and I respond to them with a gentle 'That's not a problem,' and they realize I'm not trying to deny their concerns or steamroller them." If you consider a different mindset that looks at "objections" as "concerns," you too may find that they can turn into gateways instead of roadblocks.

Why a print or apply label application may be right for you

Over a decade ago, the fist print/apply label applicators were introduced. These products were designed to handle both the printing and application of pressure sensitive labels at the same time. Touted as an “all in one” solution, the print/apply machines entered the marketplace slowly. Today, print/apply label applicator solutions are becoming more commonplace. Improvements in technology and efficiency have spurred increased use of these applicators. Is a print/apply label applicator right for you? The answer to that question will be based on a few considerations. First, print/apply technology is perfect for those who will be using the same conveyor to process a number of different products in smaller lots. New print/apply technology allows the label applicator to “see” the object and to then make a determination of which label to apply. This means one can avoid having to reload their applicator each time a different product is processed. It also eliminates the need to maintain several different label types, as one basic label can be printed in a number of different ways, as necessary. If that kind of flexibility sounds attractive, you may also want to consider some of the other benefits of print/apply applicators. They can help to decrease overall labor costs, as they combine what have traditionally been two different aspects of processing into one step. If you are currently using a traditional label applicator, you may be less than thrilled with its accuracy in label placement. New print/apply equipment, outfitted with “smart technology” boasts very accurate placement and can consistently apply labels to designated areas--even on irregularly-shaped items. Retooling the labeling system on your line may seem like an expensive and time-consuming endeavor. However, many print/apply users believe the machines compensate for the initial cost and inconveniences quickly via improved quality and efficiency.

    Why are duopolies so competitive

A duopoly is a situation in which two firms control nearly all of the market for a product or service. Duopolies can be surprisingly competitive. If you remember that the price of a product or service is determined solely by the highest losing bid price and the lowest losing ask price, you’ll realize why a duopoly can be so competitive. A large number of inefficient competitors will have almost no affect on prices in the long run unless someone (either a government or a group of idiotic investors) is willing to continually finance unprofitable operations in an unprofitable industry (think airlines). Of course, there is always the fear of a price fixing scheme in a duopoly. Generally, however, that fear is unfounded. Human nature suggests a price fixing scheme is far more likely to occur in an oligopoly than a duopoly. Humans weight the fear of loss far more heavily than the greed of gain when making calculations about the future. In a duopoly, mistrust increases the fear of loss inherent to any price fixing scheme (namely, the other guy will stab you in the back). In an oligopoly, the diffusion of power and the lack of excess capacity at any one firm makes price fixing very attractive. Price fixing in an oligopoly is a much safer bet than price fixing in a duopoly. There are, of course, other reasons why a duopoly is very unlikely to result in a price fixing scheme. In addition to a healthy does of fear, there is an often unhealthy does of hate in duopolies. There is always just one scapegoat in a duopoly. Hatred is a personal emotion; if spread over too many objects it tends to wane away. Finally, there’s the simple fact that both competitors in a duopoly are likely really big, really agile, really cutthroat players. The process leading up to a duopoly tends to be a sort of wolfing run, in which two pups are separated from the runts. Having said all that, price fixing is possible in a duopoly. Some duopolies are not the result of competition but of nationalization and privatization, although this is relatively rare since a nationalized monopoly won’t often result in a lasting duopoly (it will either remain a monopoly once privatized or get crushed by new, private competitors). Finally, a price fixing scheme always makes more sense in a commodity business. After all, any product differentiation limits the degree to which general demand is applicable to specific competitors’ products. For example, Coke and Pepsi are highly differentiated products, at least when purchased in their specific packaging (physical differences or similarities are immaterial here; it is only the buyer’s belief that matters). I drink Pepsi, and I can assure you (however irrational it sounds) that no drop in the price of Coke would be sufficient to get me to stop buying Pepsi. There is almost no other tangible good about which I could say the same. So, clearly Coke and Pepsi are differentiated products, and there’s very little chance of an effective price fixing scheme between them.

Why are paid surveys so popular

The new concept of getting paid for giving your honest opinion seems to be too good to be true – well its not. Not only the person taking part benefits but the company benefits on a whole as it leads to better and improved products that sell. Most people tend you use these surveys as extra cash source or a good paid hobby you can do in the comfort of your own home at your own pace. I wouldn't recommend doing them full time as there not stable enough and would be hard to get into the thousands bracket but the hundreds if definitely realistic for anyone. They are so popular because of the fact that anyone can do them; the only restriction may be your country as some companies make the surveys country specific but if you look hard enough there are plenty out there which you can take part in. I would say the main feature that appeals to everyone is the fact of being able to work in your night wear at 3:00am in the morning (or which ever time suits you). It's the flexibility that will grab your attention as you work when you want and for how long you want which is everyone's dream job right? The thing is you need to allow yourself some free time as the fact of working and getting paid for as long as you want can be tempting to work non-stop to earn loads of extra cash, I know I would be. Too much work can have negative effects and will harm your body so it's vital that you rest, eat well and take time off from work to do other activities. Aside from that its ideal for stay at home mums or people that cannot go to work due to illness or disability as they don't need to attend interviews or make the effort to get out the house and be somewhere for a certain time. Simply get up when you want and you can fit these paid surveys into your current lifestyle. If it's only a few a day it will still bring in some extra money which is always a bonus. When its said you work as much as you want it doesn't mean you login to your account and pick surveys that you feel like doing, you will get a flood of emails to your inbox with surveys ready to be taken but don't feel like you have to do them all, simply pick a selection and do those. If you have more time do a few more but any other just delete them. There are so many people taking part on paid surveys the quota will more then likely be satisfactory for the client. You should not have to pay to take part in paid surveys so be careful with the companies that require a start up fee, make sure you start with a decent company and you will be well on your way to making that extra cash you've always wanted.

Why are turnkey business opportunities so lucrative

Amidst everyone's busy life, one may, in one time or the other, stop and think-one person has a steady nine to five job, generating a steady income, may want, or wishes that she can stay at home and be with the kids... but has no choice, one must earn, to make a living. Others, may not want to stay at home, but wishes still, could make a larger income and be their own boss. Others still, are not satisfied, or do not enjoy what they do at work, and again, wishes to find a job or a business that render them contented of what they do. And there are others who want, put quite simply, to create an income, without putting up a large capital. Then, there are those individuals that wants to generate income, in the comforts of home. These, I believe are the main reasons why people of today are attracted to the internet. When one opens up to the world of the internet, business opportunities are scattered everywhere. From finding and applying to jobs online, creating resume's, finding products, and then, being a merchant yourself. All these, with just a touch of a button. No need to go to the supermarket, which means driving your car and paying for the gasoline. No need to go job hunting, which means putting up all your energies going from one location to the other. No need to open up a store, that includes paying the rent, what to sell and the costs of advertisements. Open the internet and you open up the world, right in your own home. Thus, more and more people are giving way to affiliate marketing. Experts say, is one of the many money-making systems that are developed as a result of the popularity of the internet. Since you gain access to anything and anywhere that you could imagine in the internet, It has become one of the most important channels wherein a merchant can sell products, almost all kind of products imaginable. With this, affiliate marketing thrives as a result of the internet's growing popularity. Almost all products which the internet markets and promotes gets all the necessary attention and exposure it needs to sell. So now we can see that this is precisely the fact that a turnkey business opportunity is so lucrative, or shall we say profitable and rewarding. Home based business opportunities are all around the internet, and the numbers of internet users are increasing worldwide. With the effort and proper research, you can start a turnkey business in your home with little or no required investment on your part. So what really is a turnkey business? The traditional meaning of a "turnkey business" means owning a business which you can start work on immediately, that everything is already set up for you... literally as easy as "turning the key". To new comers in the internet, one may ask how does a turnkey business generate money. Very simple and as most people say, looks too good to be true--this business works sort of like the roles animals play in zoology called mutualism, a co evolutionary relationship between two animals that depend upon one another for survival. This goes true with the turnkey business. A company, or business team provides an individual with all the business tools, research and website, sometimes with free hosting. Then this is where affiliate marketing comes in. An affiliate program is sort of like an exchange deal kind of set up. Wherein merchants of a certain product offer website owners a certain percentage of the sales if the affiliate or the other party promotes their products. Put into simple terms, an affiliate based business you are not selling any products of your own, but you sell your customers the products of your affiliate. Advertising by affiliate generates a lot of sales because of the very simple fact that the number of people using the internet is advancing every minute. The moment you do sign up with an affiliate, a code is assigned to you. This code has to be set on a website and when visitors or customers come in to your website, they then click this link which contains your code. When they do purchase anything, you are entitled to a commission. Here again, an exchange deal happens. With this program, both owners and affiliates benefit from the sales. The owner gets his profit, as well as the affiliate is paid his due commission. So now comes in the best part, what type of turnkey business should be chosen by you? I say it really depends on a lot of factors concerning your personal capability what product to sell, as there are a lot of products out there, or the service. With how much is the cost, and can you afford it. With regards to how much time you put into it, and lastly, with the product's potential earnings. There is money in affiliate marketing. That is a fact. But another fact still lies: it is impossible to produce and generate income, or should I say riches overnight. The one important thing to remember is whatever type you choose, a turnkey business, as with all other businesses, be it on the internet or not, requires a lot of effort. Turnkey business does not mean income flowing in without you exerting effort. You should develop a plan in how to attract customers. You will still need to spend time marketing and coming up with plans as to how to promote the business, need excellent communication with your customers and constantly contact them. You will continue to expand your business, so you can be at the front row seat as compared to all other businesses and websites that are scattered out there in the internet world. Then, success will come in.

Why aren t you making money on the net

I had reason to ask myself this question some time ago. The more I thought about it, the clearer the answers became. If you are not making the money you want on the net now, read on and you will find some useful ideas based on my experiences. What I have to say applies equally to small business, home based business and network marketers. The funny thing is that I knew what I had to do to make money. Nevertheless, I was not doing it! I continued to surf around various sites looking for that magic formula that would automatically put money in my bank account without having to do anything. Why did I keep on avoiding the very steps or actions that would generate money for my business? Did I want my business to fail? No! Did I want to fail on the net? No! I was so easily distracted by the latest and greatest way to make money on the net that I spent my time reviewing these at the expense of building my own business. I fooled myself into thinking that just because I had links to various products and services on my web page I would make money. The first fundamental principle of making money on the net is NO TRAFFIC equals NO INCOME. Just having a web page does not mean the world will beat a path to your door. To solve this, I submitted my pages to the search engines. For a short time, when one of my pages enjoyed a listing within the top ten results for a keyword search, I had some extra traffic. Once I lost that position, the traffic dried up. I then tried resubmitting that page to regain my top 10 position but to no avail. Now was the time for discouragement to set in. I had tried the obvious ways to get people to my web pages without success. I had submitted a few free classified ads but this was a tedious and time-consuming process. The results were far from spectacular also. There seemed to be no way to win on the net! How do I make progress and what I have I learnt from this experience? With any success gained in life, there are a few of key factors - discipline, persistence and belief. Discipline is doing what needs to be done everyday to achieve the goal you are aiming for. Persistence is continuing the process but making changes where necessary so that the goal is reached. Belief is the confidence that you can do it. With this in mind, it was time to go back to the basics of business and marketing and to answer some fundamental questions. Who are people who will buy my product and/or service? How can I reach them in the most cost-effective manner? Once you know who will buy your product and/or service, then you can determine the best ways of contacting them. To know who will buy your product and/or service, ask yourself these questions: What are the benefits to my potential buyers of my product and/or service? Let us say that you are marketing a business opportunity. An important benefit of your opportunity is the ability of your prospect to make some extra money. Other benefits could include no longer having to work for a boss, financial independence, realization of dreams such as overseas travel, and the list could go on. What people would gain from these benefits? It is tempting to answer this question by saying "everyone". However, this is simply not true. The best prospects may be those who are looking for an opportunity to increase their income. They could be people who are looking to start their own business but do not have a product or service to market. They could be people who have a small business and are looking for ways to increase their revenues. Now we need to consider how we get in contact with these people. Where do they gather on the net? Are there others on the net who are already contacting this group of people? One of the easiest ways to research how to contact the people who will buy our product and/or service is to review all the ezines published. Today, there are many ezines that cater to various interest groups and there is sure to be a number that will reach the people you need to contact. Do a Google search to find sites where you can research ezines that may reach your target prospects. Examples include the Directory of Ezines and Zineworld. Once you have found the ezines that your prospects are reading, you have two ways of using this to your advantage. Most ezines accept classified ads for a fee and this can be an effective way to bring to your site a stream of qualified traffic. However, the most cost-effective way is through writing articles that would interest your prospects and submitting them to the ezines for publication. Many ezines are looking for good quality material they can publish for the benefit of their readers. This provides benefits to you and the ezine publisher. You receive valuable free publicity for your site and the ezine editor receives a valuable contribution to their publication. The targeted approach to contacting those who want to buy your product or service is usually always more cost effective that any other way. I am following my own advice and benefiting. I suggest you try it. Let us all make money on the web!

Why benjamin franklin was so awesome

Copyright 2006 Ed Bagley Almost everyone who has graduated from high school knows that Benjamin Franklin was a famous American. Most of us have read that Franklin used a lighting rod to prove a theory he had about electricity. Others remember that he was the one who invented the bifocals which many of us wear today. (I just ordered a new pair of trifocals; thanks to Ben, I see better.) But few of us also know these facts and observations about Benjamin Franklin: Franklin was America’s best scientist, inventor, writer, business strategist and diplomat of his time. He was also one of the era’s most practical political thinkers! Franklin’s interest in electricity led him to note the distinction between insulation and conductors, the idea of electrical grounding, and the concepts of capacitors and batteries. Franklin discovered that the big East Coast storms known as northeasters, whose winds come from the northeast, actually move in the opposite direction from their winds, traveling up the coast from the south, thus beginning the science of weather forecasting. Franklin combined both science and mechanical practicality by devising the first urinary catheter used in America. Franklin declined to patent his inventions, freely sharing his findings, as his love of science was born of curiosity. Franklin became the first person in America to manufacture type, because there was no foundry in America for casting type when he opened his print shop. Franklin reprinted an English novel--Pamela--thereby publishing the first novel in America. Franklin created America’s first great humor classic, Poor Richard’s Almanack (Almanac, in today’s usage), which Franklin began publishing in 1732, combining two goals of his doing-well-doing-good philosophy: the making of money and the promotion of virtue. His aphorisms and observations soon became legend. Franklin’s genius as a 16-year-old writer was obvious when he authored 14 essays anonymously that were published in his brother’s newspaper, creating the character Silence Dogood, a widowed woman. Franklin’s ability to speak convincingly as a woman was remarkable, and his writing style would introduce a new genre of American humor: the wry, homespun mix of folksy tales and pointed observations that would later be perfected by such great American writers and humorists as Mark Twain and Will Rogers. Franklin became America's first gossip columnist. Franklin became the patron saint of self-improvement guides by writing many personal credos that laid out his pragmatic rules for success. Dale Carnegie would follow in his footsteps, as well as hundreds of positive thinking, modern day self-improvement authors. Franklin manufactured the first recorded abortion debate in America, not because he had any strong feelings on the issue, but because he knew it would help sell newspapers. Franklin was the consummate networker, forming a club of young workingmen he dubbed the Junto, which met in a rented room and, by pooling the books of its members, became America’s first subscription library. Franklin created a volunteer fire force (the forerunner of today’s volunteer fire department), and established the academy that would later be renamed the University of Pennsylvania. Franklin was appointed to the top post office job in America by the British government. Within a year, he had cut to one day the delivery time of a letter from New York to Philadelphia. (The United States Postal Service manages to get the same letter delivered in an average of three days today!) Franklin retired at age 42, with an assured income over the next 18 years of approximately 650 pounds annually; in his day, a common worker earned 25 pounds a year, so Franklin retired with an annual income 26 times a normal working person’s wages! (In today’s money, if you were making $50,000 a year in income, Franklin was getting by in retirement on an income of $1.3 million--$1,300,000--annually.) Franklin became America’s greatest diplomat by negotiating the support of France (its money, its recognition and its military support), that led to the success of the American Revolution, and creation of the United States of America as an independent nation. Franklin was instrumental in shaping the three great documents of the American Revolution: the Declaration of Independence, the alliance with France, and the treaty with England. Franklin was the only person to sign all four of America’s founding papers: the Declaration of Independence, the treaty with France, the peace accord with Britain, and the Constitution of the United States. Franklin’s most important vision was an American national identity based on the virtues and values of its middle class. Franklin came up with the concept of matching grant money, showing how government and private initiative could be woven together for the common good. Franklin was America’s first great publicist. He carefully crafted his own persona, portrayed it in public, and polished it for posterity. Franklin perfected the art of poking fun at himself, recognizing that a bit of wry self-deprecation could make him seem even more endearing. Franklin was the first to note that “nothing can be said to be certain except death and taxes.” Franklin was also the first to remind us that “a penny saved is a penny earned.” Franklin might also have said “a penny, invested wisely, could be the start of a small fortune.” Benjamin Franklin would have been one of the first people of his time to use computers, and would have been one of the first to start an Internet marketing business. Franklin loved to make money, and he loved the virtues of independence, self-reliance, hard work and innovation, all virtues associated with making a lot of money. Franklin would have been front and center with today’s Internet marketers, in constant contact with his fellow entrepreneurs through online forums, e-mail messaging, and hobnobbing at seminars around the country and overseas (Paris was his second home). Was Benjamin Franklin awesome? Absolutely.

Why business plans don t work and what to do about yours

I am often asked to assist with writing business plans. While a business plan is often needed when you are getting financing for your business, I find that most business owners don’t find them very useful. Why not? Because usually they are written from a very long term frame (typically five years) and once they are written, they are put on a shelf and never looked at again. I’m going to suggest some ways that you can get more out of your business plan. 1) Review your business plan frequently. Business plans aren’t meant to be static. They are mostly a long-term strategic tool, but to be effective you need to look at them regularly and update your strategies. How often? I’d suggest quarterly. Look at which of your strategies are working and which aren’t. Do more of what works and less of what doesn’t. Ask yourself why some are working and some aren’t. What can you learn to make your business stronger? 2) Add a lifestyle component to your business plan. I have yet to see a business plan that includes your ideal lifestyle. Does a bank care about your lifestyle? Probably not. But you should. Take time this week to add a lifestyle page to your business plan. At a minimum, include how many hours you want to work, where you want to work, how much vacation you’d like and what schedule you want. Then go through your business plan and make sure your business strategies support your lifestyle strategies. What you may find is that you’ll have to add strategies for hiring additional staff, streamlining operations, and creating better business systems. 3) Turn your business plan into an action plan. Your business plan is all about long term strategy. It’s the big picture about how you’ll run your business. Take that long-term strategy and turn it into a short-term action plan. For each strategy you have in your business plan, write a short-term action plan. Include what the actual activity will be, what resources you need to do it (employees, money, time, equipment, etc) and write out a detailed plan for it including deadlines. This plan should be for the next three to six months. The action plan should include every step you will need to take to accomplish each goal in your plan. The first time you do these exercises may take between two and eight hours. It depends on how much detail you provide. My experience shows that the more detail you include the more effective your plan is. The next time you do this (remember to review and revise this quarterly) it will take a lot less time. Each time you do this will build on the time before and your planning will become more and more effective. Now you’ve got a business plan that works. If you’d like a sample business plan that works, please email me and I’ll send you one that you can use as a model.

Why casinos need 24 hour day care

Recently in the news across the USA there have been several reports of parents leaving their children locked in their cars, while the parents sit in a casino and gamble. A great way to stop this from happening would be to legalize online gambling so that parents that can not afford a baby sitter will not do something as stupid as locking a small child in a car alone for several hours. Another solution would be for the casino industry to take responsibility of the people they lure in with promises of riches beyond belief. If the casinos all offered 24 hour free daycare for all casino players those parents who are so far gone in their addiction will not have to make the decision of what to do with their children, they can just take them to the casino and let them be watched after in the casinos daycare centers. As well as making sure children are not being neglected by their parents or legal guardians, the children in their care can be checked for signs of abuse and any parent that brings a child regularly to the casino can be talked to about gambling addiction. Please do not get me wrong I feel the parents should be the ones taking responsibility for their kids, but gambling addiction is a disease, and at least this would provide a way for the government to monitor parents gambling habits, and to provide them with help if they need it. Besides being the right move for the casinos to make for its own civic duty, it also makes good business sense. If the casinos offer such a service they also open themselves up to single parents that could use a little time for some adult fun, and by making the day care 24 hours a day there is no reason why a parent would leave their kid at home instead of at the casinos free daycare. The parents could relax and have a little fun with the knowledge that their kids are being taken good care of. This is not a new concept there are several casinos in Las Vegas that offer day care. These centers offer children of different ages fun things to do, such as all the popular videos, and games fro kids. This will appeal to people with kids. The parents get to gamble and have some adult fun and the kids get to do fun kid stuff. By doing this the casinos will get more business and they are doing the responsible thing for their customers with gambling problems. I understand that the casinos are a business, but they should make sure that some of their less responsible gamblers do not put their children's lives in danger just to make an extra few dollars in a multi billion dollar a year industry If enough people recommend this to their local casinos and state officials, casinos could be required by law to provide child care when they are open.

Why charter an aircraft to get where you re going

Charter flying is very different from simply buying a ticket on the local or national public aviation carrier. Chartering an aircraft, although not the cheapest way to get from one place to another offers benefits that cannot be found anywhere else in the aviation industry. Flying by charter differs from scheduled aviation and the national carriers in four basic areas. 1. It's more efficient. High value or expensive personnel from a company may travel together and continue to conduct business. The possibility of "closing the deal" while in route to a destination cannot be minimized. Trying to get work accomplished while sandwiched between other people in a typical coach flight is almost impossible. A useful and private business meeting can be held on board a chartered jet or propeller aircraft making the trip to your destination that much more efficient. 2. To complicate matters, there's the issue of privacy and confidentiality. There's a lot of data and information on your laptop that is probably confidential to the point where you wouldn't want someone looking over your shoulder to see what you're doing. Trade secrets and privacy laws work against using commercial aircraft and flights for anyone intimately involved in large business deals. Even first class accommodations doesn't offer the level of privacy that a charter air flight would provide you and your staff. A useful and private business meeting on board a commercial airliner is all but impossible, and completing work confidentially or otherwise is more than a challenge. 3. Flexibility of travel arrangements is the final big difference. Instead of flying on the set schedule of the large commercial airlines, you fly when you want and where you want. Charter air travel gives you the freedom to organize the trip around your needs. When you fly scheduled airlines, you travel on the airline's schedule along with dealing with the inconvenience caused by flight delays, stop overs and plane transfers. A charter flight can take you exactly where you want to go instead of the more typical routing through certain cities that airlines seem to love to do. 4. Safety and security. Imagine, being able to use smaller airports without the problems of traffic congestion getting to and from your flight gate. There's also not the worry of lost luggage or packages and the wait time to retrieve your luggage is next to zero. In this hectic rushing lifestyle, it's good to know that there are ways to stretch your time. Increasingly more and more business and pleasure travelers are turning to the clear advantages of charter aircraft travel for both short and longer trips. If time is money and you don't like wasting either, then it's time to take a look and consider an aircraft charter for your next important trip.

Why choose dallas cleaning services by dbm

Why Choose Dallas cleaning services by DBM? Warning! What you need to know about the 3 different types of Dallas cleaning services, before you choose one! The difference is not only significant, but it can save you time and money by notice the distinctions. It's important to feel good about your selection of the right Dallas cleaning services, and to help you make this decision, you need to know about the 3 different types of cleaning services available. Dallas Building Maintenance is a Type 3 Full Service Janitorial firm that has over 30 years of experience. There is a reason that our Dallas cleaning services have stood the test of time and competition. Different types of procedures. From hiring, training, and supervision, are key elements in what makes cleaning companies different. TYPE 1 CLEANING SERVICE: These types of Dallas cleaning services, the Small, Local Mom & Pop or Husband & Wife Cleaning Team, have a few advantages. This type service can give you good personalized attention, but often has little back-up if someone is sick or no-shows, so you might have more missed cleaning days. While working in a close, smaller, family business like these, you can get good rapport, but personality differences in family members could arise. Dallas cleaning services like these may also carry lower amounts of insurance coverage. Small operations like this often lack full service janitorial capabilities, and inspection and supervision could be lacking. TYPE 2 CLEANING SERVICE: The Large National Franchise. This type of operation usually has plenty of man-power to staff accounts, but only a one-style-fits all cookie cutter "franchise" formula. This is a unique and distinguishing feature as compared to smaller Dallas cleaning services. The larger National franchisor, is a spread out type operation and could diminish the personalized "local" attention, flexibility, and customized cleaning your business may need. Franchisors often have full service janitorial capabilities, but service levels may be inconsistent from city to city. Periodically, there is franchisee turnover on accounts, and the "re-selling" of your Dallas cleaning services contract to other franchisees could cause unnecessary turnover of accounts, and cause problems in the actual cleaning service. TYPE 3 CLEANING SERVICE: The Larger, Locally Based Full Service Janitorial Firm. Dallas Building Maintenance falls into this category of Dallas cleaning services, and offers the best combination of Large company strength and small company personal attention; Dallas Building Maintenance is a locally based and has been serving Dallas and surrounding cities since 1975, and you get the stability of a larger, established cleaning company with plenty of man-power that can provide experienced fill in help at any time, along with the flexibility to expand as your Dallas cleaning services needs expand. You get local responsive ownership and that extra personal attentionplete janitorial capabilities are always available with DBM, as well as top notch quality control measures. In considering the different types of Dallas cleaning services, consider a company like DBM, a company that not only keeps your place looking great at the right price, but that makes you feel and look good for having made the right decision! Dallas building maintenance is an established company with a stable track record, and can address all your facility cleaning needs.

Why corporations need to care about the commute

You would think corporations have enough to concern themselves about without also taking on the commute of their employees. How far someone lives from work should certainly be his or her own concern, shouldn’t it? Or should it? Over the years, studies and interviews have shown that the long distance commute has had adverse effects on the worker and work production. After 40 or 50 minutes on the road, the need to resist a break to relax and recoup is strong. Some people even plan on getting to work early so they can have time to reenergize before they begin the work day. There is no doubt that long commutes have adverse effects on work production throughout the day. Still, why should corporations care? Because the loss of revenue creeps into the millions of dollars. Because making decisions when chronic fatigue has set in can have devastating effects. Because the accident rate increases significantly. Because absenteeism, health problems, relationship problems all have a major effect on the bottom line. Corporations should care because the way to make money is to have well-oiled parts, both mechanical and human. From top to bottom, the employee who functions well, who makes good decisions, who produces outstanding work, is the employee who moves the company forward. And the employee who has difficulty in functioning, making poor decisions, producing poor work, is the employee who is causing the company to stumble on its march to excellence. And the road-weary employee can easily be the one having difficulty. What’s a company to do? There are a number of things, both big and small that will that will ease the employee’s commute and have beneficial side effects for the company as well. There are services aimed at providing companies with tools to help their workers with the commute (for a list, visit our website at Commuter-Assist). Asking your employees what is needed or how you can help, will not only score big points among employees, but it will also increase performance and productivity. And for people wishing to achieve balance and success in your life, there are ways to get through and turn around anything in your life that is not in balance.
