Psps is it as beautiful as it looks

The PSP has enjoyed a strong support that is rarely matched for a hand held console. When you first see a PSP, you will probably immediately notice the screen. The screen dominates the device, which takes a full two-thirds of the device. For a hand held device, that is amazingly massive. The PSP feels perfectly balanced between both hands, making it easier to play. The screen is designed to be completely hypnotic, drawing any gamer completely into the world of the video or game that is playing. The black color is only natural, since the PS2 was also made to be black. The PSP, with battery, a memory stick, case, and everything else together weighs a very light ten ounces, less than a full pound. This makes it much lighter than the old fashioned Gameboys and makes it easy to put in a jacket pocket. One major problem that the PSP initially had, and still has some degree of issue with, is that the screen is a fine glossy screen and as a result, it is easy to leave fingerprints and various smudges. Obviously most people aren’t going to wear gloves to play video games, and even the most careful handling would still leave marks. The front of the PSP has the directional pad on the left side, and the analog thumb stick below that. The analog thumb stick is a complaint of some gamers, who say it’s too far down, since there is no thumb support when you use it. The PSP also features the basic circle, square, triangle, and x buttons any Play station gamer is already familiar with. The left and right trigger buttons are at the top and are clear. The PSP console also has the added advantage of not just being for video games and gamers, but also for watching DVDs, as well. The PSP seems to keep gaining in popularity, and has the natural advantage of being made by the Sony corporation is that they are not likely to go out of style any time soon. The console remains popular with gamers, and its added benefits as a DVD player is keeping it popular. One thing that may PSP fans keep pointing out is that the PlayStation Portable is like a shrunken version of a PlayStation 2, and that one does not lose any of the impressive gaming graphics and playability that usually must be sacrificed with a hand held system.

    Pyramid solitaire strategy guide

Pyramid Solitaire is a fun solitaire game, with a very distinctive opening tableua in the shape of a pyramid. There is a large element of luck involved, but there are certain strategies that can be used to dramatically increase your chances of winning. The aim of pyramid solitaire is to remove all the cards from the tableua and the talon. Cards are removed in pairs, when their combined total is 13. The exception to this is with Kings, which are removed on their own. Cards can only be removed when they are completely exposed (ie: When the whole card is visible, with no cards above them) The combinations of cards you can remove are: -Ace and Queen -2 and Jack -3 and 10 -4 and 9 -5 and 8 -6 and 7 -King Whilst the rules for pyramid solitaire are quite easy to understand, the game itself offers come interesting complexities. You have to plan out which cards to remove to maximize potential options later in the game. Sometimes you must leave a card for later in the game, or you will create an impasse. And sometimes you have to carefully remember the order of the cards in the talon, or you will have cards left over at the end. At the start of the game, scan the first four rows, looking for any situations that will make the game impossible to complete. This happens when all the cards that can be combined with a card occur in the triangle below it. This occurs because a card cannot be selected until all the cards in the triangle below it are removed first. For example, suppose part of the deal was like this (Taken from Classic Solitaire deal 20064) . . . 2 . . . . . J . 8 . . . Q . J . 8 . 6 . J . 4 . J All of the Jacks occur in the triangle below the top 2. So to expose the top 2, all the Jacks will have to be removed first... But that's impossible, because the Jacks can only be removed in combination with the 2's. We will be able to remove three of the Jacks, but we cant ever remove the top Jack, because the 2 it needs is above it. So if the four combination cards appear in a cards underneath triangle, then the game cannot be finished, and you may as well redeal. If only three of the combination cards appear in the underneath triangle, then you have discovered a potential impasse later on. Wherever that fourth combination card is, it MUST be combined with the top card. So, if the fourth combination card is in the talon, you must remember this, and be careful not to use it on any card other than the top one. Another impasse to check for at the beginning, is to see if all the combination cards appear in the triangle above a card. For example, suppose the deal was like this (Taken from Classic Solitaire deal 3841) . . . . . . 7 . . . . . . . . . . . 8 . J . . . . . . . . . . 4 . 2 . 4 . . . . . . . . A . 6 . 8 . 2 . . . . . 8 . 5 . 9 . Q . 2 . . . 7 . 8 . 9 . 7 . K . 4 . K . A . 5 . 3 . Q . 6 . 10 All the 8's occur in the triangle above the bottom 5, so the game cannot be finished. This last case doesn't occur very often though, so it isn't worth spending too much time checking for it. Just a cursory glance at the middle 3 cards on the bottom row is normally enough. So to summarize, before we have even started playing, we check to see if the game is winnable (Make sure there are no cases where the four combination cards occur in the triangle below or above a card). We also check for times when three of the combination cards appear below... as these will need special attention, to make sure we don't waste the fourth card and create an impasse. So what about general play? Well, to start with, always remove Kings whenever you can. There is absolutely no reason not to remove the Kings, because they aren't used in combination with any other cards, so you gain nothing by waiting. Another thing to consider is that often there is no need to rush. You can cycle through the talon three times, so often it will be better to wait and see what cards are remaining, rather than jump in and remove a combination as soon as you can. Finally, try and remove cards evenly between the talon and the tableua. Ideally, you want to finish removing cards from the tableua at the same time as the talon is used up. You still wont be able to win every game of pyramid solitaire with the above strategy, but you should find your probability of winning has greatly increased.

    Rakeback deals all for you

: How many times have you played poker and been repaid just for playing? The concept of rakeback was introduced not so long ago, but it gained popularity quite quickly and today it is implemented all over the Internet. It’s just as easy: you put your money down to play some poker, they collect a certain percentage (rake) and they give to you some of that money back (rakeback). And you can’t say that this is not a win-win situation for both parts. Win or lose, you still receive the poker room rakeback. This online bonus system has been adopted by most of the popular online casinos, offering different percentages of their rake back to the players. Due to its recent introduction, not many players are aware of the poker room rakeback and what it really means. Having all those facts in mind, it would be great if more poker enthusiasts would find out about the special offers for full tilt rakeback, prima rakeback or ipoker rakeback. Players can easily sign up with one of the affiliate services, receiving valuable information about the different online poker websites. The thing goes like this: after signing up, the player gets to decide on which website is going to play. When showing up to play, that website will have to pay the affiliate service a certain percentage for having directed the player towards that specific poker room. The rake is collected for every hand played, ranging from 5 to 10% of the total. Don’t think of this sum as being too modest; if there are many players involved, then the amount of the rake is high as well and also the poker room rakeback. The truth is that if the rake would not exist, a large majority of the players could be categorized as unsuccessful. The rake not only provides an advantage to everyone playing but reduces significantly the number of players losing. Of course, not all online poker rooms offer the possibility of a rakeback. This is why all players are advised to choose a reliable and experienced casino, which not only satisfies their playing needs but provides the best poker room rakeback offer. Joining affiliate services usually brings the most attractive deal when it comes to receiving a rakeback. You don’t have to worry about anything and just focus on playing; if you feel like it, you can calculate your earning with the help of the rakeback calculator. No one says that those who play poker have to lose all the time. There are certain times when you may win and win, but you also have to face the possibility of losing once in a while. The rakeback is a great advantage, representing a bonus no matter if you win or lose. If you want to have the right poker playing experience, then you better make sure that you take full advantage of the rakeback. It’s only natural that online poker rooms don’t let you play for free. The percentage that they take is also known as the rake and it is in fact what contributes to you receiving the rakeback. If you join an online poker room through a third party (affiliate website) then you will benefit from a nice sum of money even if you lose. Don’t spend all your time trying to figure out your losses or winnings; take some time and try to discover where you can find the best possible rakeback deal!

Real money and the virtual economy

In the world of Azeroth, life can be cheap but saving up for that much desired epic mount can take months of labour. Welcome to the World of Warcraft, currently the world’s largest MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). In the World of Warcraft, the auction house presents the avid window shopper with a cornucopia of wonders, from fabulous swords to armour guaranteed to make you the hardest elf in your neck of the woods. To purchase such wonders, the player needs gold, something that requires quite literally hours, days or weeks of in-game labour. However visit Ebay or Eye on MOGs, a price comparison engine for virtual commodities, and you have the opportunity to convert real life earnings into virtual gold, platinum, ISK or Credits, depending on the virtual world that you alter ego(s) inhabits. The world of Real Money Trading has come a long way since its fledgling days when gamers departing from a virtual world would use websites like Ebay to convert their in-game assets into real world money. Today it is a multi-billion dollar industry, with industry insiders like Steve Sayler of IGE estimating that as much as $2.7 billion will change hands within this secondary market during the course of 2006. This lucrative industry is now catered for by companies like MMORPG SHOP, Mogmine and MOGS, which have entire infrastructures set up to ‘farm’ for in-game gold and valuable items. Not only can you purchase in-game spending power with real world money from such sites, but many are service driven, for example offering power levelling to fast-track your avatar to new heights of maturity, turn you into a master craftsman in days rather than months, or boost your reputation within the world you inhabit. Sites like Mogmine offer specialised services like fruit picking, specified item farming, or will take your character through that instance that’s been weighing so heavily on your mind. What we are experiencing here is a whole new type of economy where the border between the real and virtual world is blurring. There are currently hundreds of companies catering to this phenomenon, with some virtual items being sold for hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Virtual real estate is earning real world money, with people like 43-year-old Wonder Bread deliveryman John Dugger purchasing a virtual castle for $750, setting him back more than a week’s wages. According to Edward Castronova, an economics professor at Indiana University who has performed extensive research into online economies, Norrath, the world in which EverQuest takes place, would be the 77th richest nation on the planet if it existed in real space, with players enjoying an annual income better than that of the citizens of Bulgaria or India. A visit to GameUSD indicates the current state of virtual currencies against the US dollar, demonstrating that some virtual world currencies are currently performing better than real world currencies like the Iraqi Dinar. Real Money Trading and gold farming are met with mixed feelings in the gaming world, with some gamers criticizing the fact that real world wealth can affect in-game prestige and capabilities. Critics of the secondary market believe that such activities within the virtual economies intrude on the fantasy and provide the more economically empowered with an unfair in-game advantage. However this ignores the real world fact that earning money and advancing one’s character within a virtual world takes a good deal of time, and some gamers have more money than time on their hands. The average age for gamers is 27, and approximately half of all gamers are in full time employment. For a group of friends playing together, it can thus be relatively easy for the cash rich to fall behind the time rich in terms of gameplay, as they are obliged to spend the lion’s share of their time working their real world jobs while friends are spending time levelling their characters. For such individuals, for whom time translates into money, a few dollars is a small price to pay to ensure virtual survival the next time they enter an instance with their high level friends. Companies set up to farm virtual commodities are furthermore criticised as being little more than sweatshops, an attitude encouraged by the fact that many of these companies reside in low wage economies like China. However, pay and work conditions in such companies, where workers are paid to spend their days playing enjoyable, stimulating games, cannot compare to that of their compatriots who spend their days mindlessly producing the components that go into our computers, or the trainers that we wear while playing. Essentially the objection is a moral one, with many Westerners objecting to low wage economies catering to this type of leisure activity. Often workers are paid partly in kind, with food and accommodation included in remuneration packages, with the pay received thus presenting largely surplus. While pay may not equate to Western standards, this type of economic activity reminds us that we are living in a continually globalising economic environment where quality of life and spending power should be taken into account as much if not more so than say a straight dollar for yen exchange ratepanies like Mogmine provide their staff with health benefits, holiday pay and share options, along with the chance for advancement within the organisation. Brian Lim, CEO of Mogmine, comments that ‘many mid - and high-level management started out as gamers and now they have equal or more pay than respectable managers in more conventional businesses.’ Within these lower wage economies, these thus represent desirable jobs. Other complaints centre around the negative effect of such farming activities on in-game economies. At Mogmine, Brian Lim’s gamers play the game as it is meant to be played, but hone good techniques for gold generation along the way, thus ensuring that the work remains interesting to staff. Jonathan Driscoll comments that competition for resources has always been a feature of gameplay, and points out that his World of Warcraft farmers do their work within instances, and thus do not impact on others’ gaming experiences in the leastplaints that farmers are responsible for in-game inflation smack of sour grapes when compared to common factors like players with high level characters acting as benefactors for their low-level alts, and thus facilitating the unrealistic in-game spending power of such low level characters. While some developers do not condone real money trade on their servers, others like MindArk, with their game Project Entropia, have included the secondary market as a part of their services. Even Sony Online Entertainment, who until recently stood staunchly against real money trade, have jumped on the band-wagon with the release of their Station Exchange service, actively facilitating Real Money Trading in Everquest 2. Other games, like the upcoming Roma Victor, embed the secondary market as part of their financial model rather than relying on the common subscription model, with players purchasing Sesterces to play and advance in the game. Such trading of virtual goods for real world money is potentially just the tip of the iceberg for the development of virtual economies where people come together within virtual worlds to promote and trade real world products. Games like The Matrix Online already sell advertising space to real world companies to promote their products to gamers who spend their leisure time within the world. We are thus embarking on an entirely new type of economic activity, where real and virtual worlds are meeting within an economic sphere. As a fledgling economy, it is difficult to chart where this phenomenon may take us, but the sheer weight of currency being spent and earned within these economies and the development of services to monitor real to virtual exchange rates and market prices indicates that they are here to stay.

    Reasons to play poker

Poker has boomed in popularity over the past five years. What started as a game played on the fringes of American society has now become a worldwide phenomenon. There are a variety of reasons people play poker. Financial: Poker is one of the few gambling games where players can actually win money in the long-term. This is because players play against each other instead of the house. A superior player is able to win over time by making skilled moves against his opponents. However, making money isn't the only financial reason players opt to play poker. In fact, most people who play poker do not play for money; rather, they play for 'fake chips' which are not worth anything. Since poker is a skill-based game, it can be very entertaining without having to risk money. Poker is one of the few forms of entertainment that can be played for hours without paying a nickel. Educational: Poker is a great method to brush up on math skills. Since much of the strategy in poker revolves around odds, players quickly become experts at calculating expected value and other mathematical principles. It is for this reason that some teachers are now employing poker in schools as a method for teaching expected value. Social: A great way to kick back and relax is playing poker with friends. Poker facilitates conversation and a calm atmosphere especially when played for low-stakes or no money at all. Poker has been featured on multiple TV shows as a weekly social gathering, such as on Desperate Housewives, where the main characters have a revolving poker game each week.

Rent video games save yourself time and money

The ability to rent video games from home without leaving the house has always been a true dream of mine. Not only does renting video games online keep you busy, but it can be very satisfying knowing you can rent as many titles as you want at anytime and generally receive them within a day or two. Here are some Video Game Rental Statistics you might find interesting: •"U. S. consumers spent $633.6 million renting video games in 2001, and a record-breaking $6 billion buying video game software (including PC software)." But why are people renting video games instead of buying? I guess I can’t say gamers are not buying video games. “The U. Sputer and video game software sales grew four percent in 2004 to $7.3 billion -- a more than doubling of industry software.” But why rent games? I would estimate that people rent for 4 primary reasons. 1.The convenience 2.Its cheaper 3.Able to test games 4.Time sensitive Convenience is truly a luxury worth having these days. People are looking for ways to save time and effort. Everything these days has to be fast and easy. Online video game rental companies provide that and much more. First of all and most important they deliver the game right to your front door. No more wasting your gas going to your favorite rental store, only to find out that the game you wanted is no longer available and won’t be available until you make that drive again. Gas is too expensive these day, who wants to spend all that money driving to a video store when you can easily accomplish the same task on your home computer? Second of all it’s simple alot cheaper. The average video store charges from $4.00 to $6.00 dollars per video game rental. That could get expensive, specially if you’re renting numerous titles per week. Most of the well known game rental clubs like GameFly, Gottaplay, Intelliflix and RentZero only charge $12.95 to $19.95 per month for unlimited video game rental. So let’s say you rent 2 titles per week at the local video store. That equal around $30.00 dollars per month compared to $12 to $13 dollars per month with the online alternative. This is a large savings at the end of the month. Now here is the greatest part. Have you ever purchased a video game and just hated it. You can’t just return the game, you’re stuck or you have to exchange it in for store credit. So you just have to suck it up and move on to the next game, which might not live up to your standards. Renting video games online gives you the chance to test the game first before you purchase. The companies will even allow you to purchase the games at discount rates and just keep the game if you enjoy it that much. You can keep the games as long at you like just pay the monthly fee. Retro revisited chaotix

Sega’s Megadrive 32X. Hands up if you remember it. Now hands up if you ever owned one. My condolences to the two of you. The 32X came about at a time when Sega, after living upon a tower of extreme complacency for the past few years, found the Megadrive’s 16 bit rule was coming to an end with frightening announcements of Playstations, Jaguars and other 32 bit powered hardware. A department of Sega Japan, in conjunction with Sega of America, were ordered to design a 32 bit add-on for the Megadrive, and this would become the 32X. Bizarrely, however, another section of Sega Japan were also working on what would eventually become the Saturn – a superior 32-bit CD format. Interestingly, this was done in secret, completely unbeknownst to Sega of America while they beavered away on the 32X. This famously weird manoeuvre was completed in style by Sega’s somewhat suicidal decision to release both consoles at roughly the very same time. The result? The 32X, with its old-fashioned cartridge format, rather laughable operating procedure (two power supplies, an extra video cable, and even some wacky anti-magnetic clips to keep it held snugly in the Megadrive cartridge slot) and poor software support from the get go, was dead before it started - losing to the Saturn, which in turn was obliterated by the Playstation and Nintendo 64. A sad tale at the time, but an excellent proposition for retro collectors with failing cash supplies; fairly cheap to pick up, and only about six good games before you can call your collection “complete”! Chaotix, then. The only existing 32 bit, two-dimensional Sonic game. But a Sonic game without Sonic. And a Sonic game sold on a gimmick. Initially panned at release – generally because Sonic fans wanted more Sonic, and less Knuckles – the game fell into quick obscurity helped in no small part by the short shelf life of the 32X. This is a shame because, once you look beyond its flaws, a tricky and intelligent platform adventure with a unique twist lies within. Imagine a world in which you’re permanently attached to a companion by a mysterious elastic-like band of energy. When you move, they have to follow, when you jump, they jump. A nightmarish proposition and, indeed, the very core of Chaotix’s gameplay. So does it work? Hmm…sort of. When you get the hang of it, Chaotix is actually quite a wild ride. Controlling the two characters simultaneously, bound together by one of Dr. Robotnik’s evil experiments, the player must learn to use this disaster to their advantage, namely by creating tension in the link to supply momentum to run faster, clear obstacles, and progress up platforms. The physics engine that supplies this unique style of movement was a brave endeavour by Sega, and admittedly isn’t always one that pays off. The structure of the game’s levels is rather different to standard Sonic fare, with everything having to be far more spaced out to allow the bouncing, spinning (often out of control) twosome to rebound around the levels. Frustration will often come by becoming stuck either above or below where you want to be, mashing the buttons desperately to make the characters gain the movement necessary to progress. Then there’s the constant risk of smashing clumsily into enemies (of which there are, wisely, also a lot less than usual) and losing a large amount of rings unfairly. Careening around randomly is something you’ll be spending a lot of time doing, and it’s fun at first, until you actually become bent on getting somewhere and trying to collect all the Chaos Rings (this instalment’s replacement for the classic Chaos Emeralds). Progress can become slow and frustrating, but after a while, when perhaps no longer judged simply as a “Sonic game”, Chaotix starts to get under your skin, and makes its subtleties known. I’d never promise you that true mastery of the crazy system is possible, but you’ll certainly begin to smile the first time you send your mammals speeding off in the right direction, clear a loop, kill an enemy, spin hectically through space and then make a neat, balletic landing at the level exit sign. That’s Sonic to the power of two, and then some! And then, gameplay considerations put aside, as a 32X showcase title, Chaotix is a must for any collector. The 32X’s new range of colours is shown off fully, with every new level - chosen at random - taking place at a different time of day, resulting effectively in around four different colour palettes per stage (and there are about 30 of them!). This gives the game a real feeling of uniqueness on every play through. Sprite scaling is also used to hilarious effect - new powerups allow characters to shrink to a tiny size or grow into an enormous pixellated monstrosity. Then there’s the bonus stage… Placed inside a fully 3D world, your character must collect blue spheres (a la Sonic 3), but this time, running up the walls causes the tunnel to rotate with the player, creating an immensely challenging, gravity-defying experience that often ends in falling - swearing and throwing your controller across the room - out of the bottom of the tunnel. Never has a Sonic special stage required such a devilish combination of planning and reflexes. At the end of the day, Chaotix was a brave new idea, almost well executed but just missing that extra round of playtesting (probably due to being rushed out for the console’s ironically untimely release!) needed to make it a bona fide masterpiece. In addition to this failing, there were never enough people in possession of the hardware to play it, anyway. Sega – release Chaotix on the next Sonic Compilation so the whole world can enjoy the elasticated eccentricities of this flawed, forgotten classic! Role of the druid wow

: Of the many different character classes in WOW, each having a different accepted role, there is one lauded as superior by those who play them, and scoffed at by those around them. There are a few responsibilities that must be filled for a group of adventurers to succeed in a dungeon. There must be a “tank,” someone who gets the attention of the monsters they are attempting to kill. A healer is important to keep the group alive. There are damage dealers who are primarily responsible for slaying the monsters in melee or from a distance. Characters in charge of crowd control stall certain targets to make taking down others easier. Each class generally fills one role with ease and can switch to another if it is needed. The Warrior, for example, is first and foremost a tank. Warriors are given the most abilities to generate and maintain the focus of the foe. But in a group with two warriors, or if another class wants to try their hand at tanking, the warrior can be used as a damage dealer. The WOW Paladin, normally used in instances as a healer and support character, can generate cause enough threat to hold the targets attention. The Druids of Azeroth, made up of the Night Elf and Tauren populations, have an interesting mix of abilities. To WOW, they are the shape shifting Jack of all Trades. They can heal the party, with efficiency topped only by the Priest. In Cat Form they can deal melee damage and sneak around their enemies with the guile of a Rogue. If shifted into Bear Form, they are capable of performing tanking roll of a Warrior. While in Moonkin Form, they can dole out massive damage by raining down arcane and nature spells on the target. This wide range of abilities makes the druid the ideal member of any party, if one person fails, the druid can switch over to the vacated role and pick up the slack. This is not often how the party views the situation, however. In small instance groups of five people, the druid is often taken only if they are willing to be a healer, despite their versatility. A druid desiring to fill another role, especially the popular role of damage dealing, is shunned. The WOW developers gave druids certain abilities, such as moon fire or faerie fire, which are very visible spells. These spells have beneficial effects for the group, but a druid casting them on a target will often be ridiculed from the party for ‘wasting mana’ that should be reserved for healing. The issue stems from two major problems in WOW. The first is the lack of healer classes. There is only one class out of eight on each faction that is a dedicated healer, the Priest. There are two other classes on each side that are capable of healing, the Paladin for Alliance and Shaman for Horde, then the Druid. The low amount of available healers leads to less players playing them, which feeds right into the next dilemma. The second problem being that most players are too shortsighted to see beyond the Druids healing ability. There are many people with the immutable mindset that if a druid can heal, he should heal. While they are an effective healer, they are quite effective at every other role they can fill as well. No one would ever accuse Blizzard entertainment of being hasty with their decisions. WOW and their other games have had their release dates pushed back many times. In the past hardcore fans of Blizzard’s work know that this delay is for the best, the company labors to produce the finest quality product. The Druid went through months of internal testing and balancing before the concept became a reality. By giving the druid all the basic abilities of a rogue, a warrior, a mage and a priest, it is quite clear they had a greater intention for the class than staple healer. Role playing on pocket pc

PDAMill Arvale Short Tales Review Author: Dungeons and Dragons, the very first role-playing game, was also the first game to be programmed on a computer. At those times, a computer was not a small box connected to a monitor or a TV. It was a room full of huge steel cabinets. These computers could only display text; they had nothing like billion color displays or surround sound of today's PCs. Yet, role-playing games were still available in text-only mode. Just imagine gameplay where a computer would print something like "You are in a dark room." You would type "Light lantern with match", and the computer would reply with "This room appears to be a library. There's a table with a crystal ball in the center. You also see bookshelves, ladder, and a door leading east." Was it fun to play? Sure, at the time, it was! Luckily, modern role-playing games are very far from those of the early days of computers. Today's computer fits in the palm of your hand, and today's role-playing game displays pictures and animations, and produces realistic sounds to make the process even more fun! Arvale: Short Tales by Handster handster/ is a great modern role-playing game. It's small enough to fit even into the busiest person's PDA, while sports crisp graphics and a dynamic sound track. Unlike simpler Pocket PC based role-playing games, Arvale: Short Tales includes not one but four unique stories with four unique characters to enjoy. (Spoiler: there is a hidden fifth character somewhere in the game!) You'll get endless hours of fun and entertainment with free exploration of open-ended, quest-style gameplay. Meet friendly characters and mendacious monsters. Enjoy the difference between night and day with unique available actions. Roller rush

If you like the game Diner Dash, then you will probably like Roller Rush. The game play is very similar yet the theme is quite different. Roller rush is based on the 50's theme of drive-in dining. You play as a girl in skates and you need to serve as many customers as you can in order to achieve the money goal for the day. Achieving your goal gives you stars. You can then use these stars to purchase different upgrades. You can choose to immediately use up your stars on upgrades or you can wait for them to accumulate in order to get better upgrades. You can also get bonus points by completing a roll - same task done in succession. The longer the roll, the more money you get. Roller Rush is a game of skill and strategy as well as fast reflexes. The game starts out easy, with good time spacing between customers. The higher the level, however, the more customers you get and the faster they come. There are different types of customers – some more impatient that others. You tend to get the more impatient ones at the higher levels. The overall theme of the game is a treat, especially if you are into retro. You have a jukebox that plays music in the background throughout the game. It uses a default playlist. However, you can tweak the game and have the jukebox play your own mp3s stored on your hard drive! Now you can play and listen to music at the same time. The graphics are not spectacular but they suit the game very well. They are pleasing to the eyes and different animations make for a good gaming experience. As opposed to many other games out in the market, the content is kid friendly. You have to be a little bit older than a “kid” to be able to beat the game, though. For the not-so-skilled players, there comes a point in the game wherein you just cannot seem to handle all the customers and earn enough money in a day. It’s either you step up or lose all your lives.

    Rpg games for beginners

: For the ones of you that don’t know RPG stands for Role Playing Game, and is one of the most played type of game nowadays. You are the main hero, and you interact with other characters also called NPC-s ( or Non Playable Characters if you’re playing single player). They will give you quests to do, and you have to do them, in order to get experience and advance to higher levels. The story has the main quest, that will end the game when finished, and usually a lot of side quests, that will help you develop your character. The side quests are not necessary, but will get you deeper into the story and sometimes that is really worth it! Most RPG games allow you to choose your type of character at the beginning. Usually there are several types of characters, all with different attributes, but there are three main categories to choose from: wizard, fighter and archer. These will take different names and attributes and will be further more differentiated into subcategories, depending on the game. For example, the wizard can become specialized on different categories of spells, like earth, water, dark magic, white magic, fire, lightning, nature. How do you grow your character? Well this depends from game to game, but basically you have : -life, called life points in many games representing your health -mana, or mana points representing the wizardry point you have left( these point allow you to do spells, if you don’t have them you won’t be able to cast spells) -stamina, also found by other names, depending on the game, this represents how much time you can run, of do special moves. Besides these three there are a few other primary attributes like: -strength – representing the strength of your character, you’ll have to put points here if your character is a fighter. -dexterity – representing the dexterity of your character, usually important for archers - intelligence – representing the intelligence of your character, usually important for wizards. There may appear some more primary attributes depending on the game but don’t worry they are usually explained! Experience – this is heart of the game, and this (along with the story) will keep you in front of the computer for days! Basically, when you kill monsters you get experience, you also get experience when you do the quests. This experience is used to grow in level, making you stronger and able to battle with more and more monsters. Take care how you spend your experience, because in the later part of the game it’s important to be strong so you can finish the game. Usually it’s best to choose a line of evolution at the beginning and keep it until the end of the game !
Ok, we’ve reached the end of part one, hope I was able to enlighten you a little concerning the mysteries of RPG games. See you in part two!

Rumination on the ps3 game and console

PS3 games have been long awaited by its fans. With the expected release of the PlayStation 3 console in November, 2006 approaching fast, gamers are enthusiastic about the new experience it offers. Sadly though, the new experience comes together with the PS3 games itself and not the game console that offers backward compatibility. Ergo, it is the new format of the games that is much awaited and not the actual player. Just what does the new format of the PS3 games offer? Well due to its being written on Blue-Ray Discs, the gaming experience would be parallel to HDTV in terms of its quality. This is because of the ability of the disc to store 10x as much data as the DVD. Having the ability to store more data, it means that programmers are able to incorporate more features that would enable it to deliver high picture and interactive quality. Given that, how much quality do we really need to enjoy a game? Gamers in the early 90s were satisfied with the picture and gaming quality of the popular Pacman game from Nintendo, the level at which people of today are satisfied with the quality of their gaming experience has always been in accord with the developments in technology. PS3 games would expectedly offer picture quality that is unmatched by any of its competitors. After PS3 games, then what? Well, one would think that developments in the next decade would definitely grow at an exponential rate. It would not be unreasonable to expect that developers would come up with some gaming console that would enable its users to literally be in the game. Considering that virtual games are now present, continued research on the technology would probably yield devices that can be hook to our nervous system, and would function somewhat like holograms. It is, I guess, only our human imagination that truly limits what we can come up with in the next couple of decades. So what are the potential problems that could arise from this advancement in gaming technology aside the declining academic performance of children? While PS3 games would definitely give out optimum performance, another aspect that grows in accordance to developments in technology is the cost. The production of the game console, which is actually more than just a gaming console, as well as the PS3 games would most probably be only affordable for the high-end consumers. That is, during the first two years of production. Fortunately, the prices always go down after a couple of years. That is the only time when children, as well as adults in the lower ranks of society are able to enjoy a magnificent gaming experience. I guess that's how things really work in this society. Oh well. But nevertheless, PS3 games and all the others that will come soon will always be appreciated by the consumers. They would not really manufacture these things had there been no demand for it, won't they? So enough with the ranting about its costs. PS3 games and others will remain and will continue to develop. So long as the technology is available, people will always find ways to apply them to whatever they could think of.
