Our bizzies are not busy enough cops robbers

How cops today have robbed us of our Freedom When the Good old days were bad Snotty nose urchins ran through the rat infested streets of London trying to pick a pocket or two. The laughter would echo from that of the busty floozy flaunting her wares for a couple of coppers. Song after song would ring out through the air from the scrumpy cider drinking drunks. Waifs and orphans huddled up together to keep the winter frost from piercing their bare flesh. Last but not least in the good old days were the god fearing duo the Plague and Jack the Ripper. In the good old days at least there was a little sense of security when the local bobby armed with whistle and truncheon pounded the beat over the cobbled stones with his size 9 hob nailed boots. What made these the good old days you may well ask? Well let me tell you. In those days they had the black death/Plague. We have aids/HIV. In them days the local floozy was moved on; we encourage them by putting a roof over their head. Drinking in the good old days was for the man of the house. Today it is the kids in a drunken stupor. What of Jack the ripper's crimes in comparison with that of Ian Huntley Myra Hindley and the notorious Fred West and his wife, who took life from those they gave life too. Hundreds of years later we find ourselves confined to our homes all because of the society we live in. We have no sense of security which leaves us all mentally scarred with fear. So what can we do to help improve the entire bad goings on? Understandably there are some situations where it would take the whole world to come together and unite to end famine war and terrorism. But in the meantime while we wait for the world to come to its senses, we can start with our local communities which need protecting from everyday crimes that are committed such as; murder muggings robbery drug trafficking and drink related matters. These issues have to be tackled with force and fast. We need more power enforcement dominating our streets. How can this be done? Let us compare the bobby of yesterday to police of the 21st century The bobby in the good old days with just his whistle and truncheon put Jack the ripper behind bars. He kept law and order by giving the pilferer a clip round the ear. The drunk was cautioned to tone down his singing to the key of E. Voices hushed to a whisper from the darkened alley as the boy in blue passed in his quest to keep law and order on the streets of London. Then we have equipped with padded bullet proof vests and guns are our very own police force that replaced their whistles for a radio and swapped truncheons for a baton But the mind boggles as to the sense in all these crime preventing gadgets if our cops are not out walking the beat? Police patrols are a great deterrent to most law breakers. Crime will forever continue to be on the increase while our police sit behind theirs desks Ask yourself why police have to ask for witnesses to come forward, have you ever noticed how the force are never the ones at the scene of a crime first? There would be less scenes of a crime to attend if the police are given back the role of what they are paid to do and that is to uphold law and order and not to encourage it by their absence. Save the next innocent child from abduction. Catch the rapist before he pounces on his prey. Take the murder weapon from the hands of the madman before the killing takes place. Stop savage beatings on the street or in peoples own homes. To stop those 999 calls coming in, the police need to be out there with the criminals and by doing that, they just may gain back respect from society

    Our personal heroine at home

The household heroine. No matter what time you need her, she is there for you just like any local hero --- only a scream or yell away. She may not be able to leap the tallest buildings but her heart and care can stretch beyond the horizon's reach. Faster than the speeding bullet? Nope, she can't do that. But certainly, her ability to protect and guard you is better than any refuge or security system known to man. She does every chore with all finesse and gusto, better than your comic book hero's ability to clean up the mess he makes after trouncing a menacing foe. But like any other hero we know, she also craves for a little recognition for all the efforts she has exerted. All too often, she just has too make do with little acts of fleeting appreciation. No need to browse your hero directory for there is no entry for Mom, Mommy or Mama --- every child's hero. Aside from these apparent obligations that she continuously and willingly fulfills, one characteristic that puts her in the hero category is her ability to heal. Step aside Wolverine, for your power to regenerate has use only for yourself. Unlike her, she has the ability to heal others. Children, from infancy to adolescence, rely on the unique healing ability that is present in all mothers. According to studies, a child's overwhelming emotion – like fear, worry, or apprehension – or clinically termed as child anxiety, is no match for a mother's caring touch. Scientifically proven, a mother's touch can help bring relief to a child suffering from illness. Other studies show that a mother's touch can help calm an infant that suffers from child anxiety. The bond between mother and child is the means through which relaxation is achieved. The reassuring touches, the patting and carrying of a child --- all these acts like natural anxiety relief for a suffering child. It is also astonishing how a mother's cuddle and caress helps prevent a child from experiencing more emotional pains and struggles. This all-natural anxiety relief has been proven time and time again as medical experts in child psychology pointed that further agitation by a child's emotion can be addressed by a simple “loving touch.” Experts, however, don't necessarily mean that we must forsake medical attention in lieu of this “motherly” wonder. Mothers also use their loving touch as artillery in waging war against depression. Whenever a child feels down and alone – a mother's care is enough to lift his spirit - an anxiety relief like no other. Child anxiety - or any problem that could put her family in peril – is not a big problem to her as she continuously strives to provide care and protection, with all her might, to secure that her home is a “safer place.” So no matter what costume mothers use, cooking apron or scrub suit... not matter what special gadgets they use --- a dusty broom or stealthy knife...our mothers too need a little energy boost from the person they rescue everyday --- You. A simple kiss or hug could dispel all problems and cares. Mothers, no matter how invincible and undaunted they may appear, are still humans and have their respective limitations. They get tired and occasionally exceed their temper limit. They, too, need some saving one time or another.

    Outdoor stair lifts

Many households have decks or patio areas that are accessible by a stair case located outdoors. For those with conditions that affect their mobility, an outdoor stair case can present a daunting challenge. Luckily, there are many options available for those that need an outdoor stair lift. All stair lifts are composed of four basic components; the track, the drive train, the chassis, and the seat. The drive train is located inside of the chassis and consists of the gears or pulleys that propel the chassis and seat up and down the track. The drive train can be either rack and pinion or cable driven. Rack and pinion systems utilize gears and a toothed rail along the track. Cable driven systems use a high strength aluminum cable that is wound around a pulley inside of the chassis. The stair lift track is the portion that is actually mounted to the stairs and supports the weight of the chassis, seat, and rider. Depending on the type of stair lift, the track also houses the toothed gears for rack and pinion lifts and the high strength cable for the cable driven lifts. The chassis contains the electric motor that moves the lift up the rail. The seat is mounted on top of the chassis enclosure and usually folds up while not in use. There are a few factors to consider when installing a stair lift on an existing stair case. Special attention must be paid to the material that the steps are constructed from. Concrete steps will require different types of fasteners than wooden steps. Also, the length of the stair case must be measured in order to obtain an accurate price quote from a distributor. Each stair lift track is custom cut to the home owner’s specifications and the length will affect the final price of the stair lift. For a straight stair case, a stair lift is a safe and economical solution but for outdoor use the chassis and track of the stair lift must be sealed to protect against the elements. Also, the seat must be of a marine grade vinyl or similar material to withstand sunlight and moisture. Most outdoor models also include a cover for the seat so that it is protected when not in use.

    Overcoming red wine spills

Red wine spills can be a disaster whether they occur in your home or onboard your $43 million executive jet as members of our corporate flight attendant web community are quick to point out. Taking care of a spill is another thing, but we have discovered two “tried and true” solutions to the problem. Please read on to find out what we discovered: 1. If you have just spilled red wine, immediately pour white wine over a red wine stain. The white wine [white grape juice is fine too] dilutes the pigmentation from the red grape. 2. You can also put salt on the stained area, wait a few minutes and rinse with running water. If you have an old stain, try soaking the stain with a lemon-water or vinegar-water solution, then wash it with your other laundry items. Of course, we’re talking about treating clothing not carpeting or furniture fabric. The more expensive the item affected, the more likely you will seek professional cleaning care to resolve the problem even if you do emergency management. Not everyone feels comfortable with treating red wine spills, but doing nothing can cause the stain to set making it virtually impossible to get rid of later.

    Overview of evaporative air coolers

If you ask an older relative if they have heard of an evaporative cooler, they may say no. But chances are they would recognize the idea behind the technology. Before air conditioning or other cooler types existed, people would sleep outside on a screened in porch to try to stay cool at night. They would often hang damp sheets over the screens in an attempt to cool the air. As the hot air passed through the sheet, it was cooled. And then the cool air would slowly circulate, relieving some of the heat for the sleepers. The same idea exists today in the form of evaporative coolers. These machines are wonderful cooling mechanisms for people who live in hot, dry climates. They are also known by the name swamp coolers, but that can be misleading because they actually won’t work at all in swampy, humid conditions. The name probably came from the way that evaporative coolers actually add humidity to the air. But in fact, evaporative coolers need dry, hot air to work because in order for the air to be cooled, it has to be able to pick up (evaporate) some of the water. If the air is already saturated, it won’t pick up any more water and it won’t be cooled. Here’s how evaporative coolers work; the machine is composed of a fan that pulls the hot dry air inside the cooler, where it is passed through damp pads. The pads are kept damp by a pump that circulates water through the machine. As the dry air picks up some of the water, its temperature drops, sometimes by as much as 30 degrees Fahrenheit, depending on the climate. The cooler air is then blown into the room. An added bonus of an evaporative cooler is that the pads that cool the air also filter it. As the air passes through the pads, dirt, dust, allergens and other pollutants are captured in the fibers of the pads. So you’ll be breathing cleaner, cooler air. If you’re wondering why you should choose an evaporative cooler over a traditional air conditioner, there’s one more reason we haven’t covered yet. The cost to run an evaporative cooler can be as little as 1/10 the amount it costs to run an air conditioner. In fact, some community power companies in hot, dry climates will actually offer residents a rebate if they install an evaporative cooler because they recognize the effective, efficient cooling capabilities of the technology. Contact your local power company to see if they offer the rebates and ask if they have any information on the effectiveness of an evaporative cooler in your area.

    Pacifier or not

Before I had children, I swore my child would never use a pacifier. To me, they were simply signs that a child was just not very well taken care of. You know, Mom doesn’t want to pick the baby up and comfort her, so she just puts a pacifier in her mouth to quiet her. But, I’m older now, and I have three children, so I’m wiser too. There definitely are times when a pacifier is a huge help – not just a crutch for Mom. As it turns out, some newborns just have a greater urge to suckle than others. If your baby is like this, a pacifier is almost a necessity. For these babies, the suckling they get from nursing or taking a bottle is simply not enough. My daughter was one of these babies, and unless she fell asleep while nursing or taking a bottle, that pacifier was critical to getting her to sleep. Other children simply don’t need this extra suckling, and, for these children, a pacifier is usually not necessary. Occasionally sucking their thumb or fist is satisfying enough for them. Watch your child in those first few days, and make the decision based on your baby’s behavior. One caution, however; if your baby is nursing, you should avoid the pacifier until your baby’s nursing habits are fully established. A pacifier can cause nipple confusion in babies who are struggling with breastfeeding. The problem with pacifiers isn’t really the use of the pacifier itself, rather overuse, or use of it long past a normal age. Pacifier use can cause serious dental issues, and should be used only for the required amount of time. Plus, the older your child gets, the harder it will be for you to keep it clean. Also, if your child relies on a pacifier to fall asleep, you will be required to retrieve it for him multiple times during the night, when he is unable to locate it on his own. If your child uses a pacifier, look for the natural opportunities that will arise for giving it up, and seize them. For example, my daughter caught a bad cold at about six months old, and wouldn’t use the pacifier; because she was so congested she could hardly breathe. As soon as she started to refuse it because of the cold, I put it out of sight. Once her cold was over, she had forgotten about it. My middle son held on to his a little longer, but at about thirteen months, I noticed that just before he fell asleep at night, he would toss the pacifier out of his crib. So, one night, I picked it up off the floor, and put it away. Same ending – he never noticed it was gone. If your child needs it, a pacifier can be a great comforter, and can make life easier for you, too. Just be sure not to let it go on for too long, or you and the baby can become dependent!

Pack smarter to make moving easier

When making the enormous decision to move from one home to the next, many people don't realize that they have also signed up to make countless choices, big and small. Deciding on travel arrangements for you and your pets, transferring memberships, filling out IRS and post office forms, transporting your house and garden plants-the list is endless! May is National Moving Month and marks the beginning of a four-month period in which more than half of Americans relocate their homes. With an estimated 40 million Americans moving homes last year and a comparable number expected to do the same this year, the number of people who will endure the chaos of moving is staggering. Luckily, with a little bit of preparation, packing doesn't have to be an overwhelming task. For those who would rather save the stress of last-minute packing-and can't justify hiring a moving service-the right tools and timing are essential. "Many people procrastinate when it comes to packing before a big move because the task can seem unmanageable," says Vicki Norris, founder and president of Restoring Order, a professional organizing company, and author of "Restoring Order: Organizing Strategies to Reclaim Your Life." "But packing can be very manageable if you have an organized plan and packing strategies." Norris says the best way to start packing is to free yourself of the things you don't use by either donating or tossing them. Norris calls this lightening-up process pruning. "Prune your belongings down to what is useful and adds meaning and value to your life," Norris advises. "Don't forget pruning the stuff in your garage and storage units." She also recommends going room by room to begin the decluttering process, combing through both living space and storage areas to eliminate broken, outgrown or abandoned items. After pruning and before packing, assemble the proper packing tools: boxes, markers, newspaper, tissue, bubble wrap, scissors and a measuring tape. Another practical and inexpensive packing tool is Glad ForceFlex trash bags, which feature a diamond texture that stretches around objects to help prevent rips and tears, allowing you to fill up, stretch and stuff it with just about anything. Use these trash bags to contain children's toys for holiday charity drives, baby clothes to pass on to a pregnant friend, or bulky old coats taking up space in your closets. Simply label bags with a marker and masking tape to identify the contents. Norris offers some additional strategies for smart packing: • Develop a move plan. Sketch a simple floor plan of the destination home and identify how each room will be used. Landing your boxes in the correct room will be easier if you've taken the time to "purpose" the spaces in your future home and label boxes accordingly. • Set a timeline. Schedule all the important dates, such as real estate transaction dates, necessary home repairs, packing dates, final cleaning and the moving truck's arrival. Your calendar will help you stay on top of your move instead of feeling overwhelmed. • Determine what goes first. The items used least frequently can be stowed during the sale and move process to make your current home visually lighter for showing. • Pack according to your destination rooms, not according to where things are kept in your current home. This will result in a smoother unpacking experience. • Use Glad ForceFlex trash bags, which stretch to handle overstuffing, to pack clothing, pillows, sleeping bags, holiday items and stuffed animals-it's a great way to conserve boxes that can be used to transport heavy or breakable items. • Keep essential packing supplies together and within reach: boxes, marking pen, bubble wrap, newspaper, tissue, tape, scissors and a tape measure. • Do not load more than 50 pounds per box-doing so will make the box difficult to carry and may result in the bottom falling out. • Assign a color to each level of your new home (e. g., red for upstairs, yellow for downstairs). Label each box clearly with the appropriately colored paper so helpers can get your boxes to the right floor. Also label each box with its destination room and basic contents (e. g., Guest Room: Craft Supplies). • Save room by using towels and blankets to pack fragile items. Glad bags can also be used as packing material inside boxes, and then used in garbage cans at your new home. • Store medicines and other liquids in leak-proof containers, such as Glad food storage bags and GladWare containers.

    Packing for the movers

You’ve chosen a new home, selected a mover, and now comes the task of packing for the move. There are 3 important things you should remember that will save you a lot of time and frustration later: • Collect all the materials (boxes, tape, paper) you’ll need to pack. • Don’t put packing off until the last minute. • Stay organized! Here’s a list of the materials you’ll need to pack efficiently: • Paper for wrapping your items: Many people collect old newspapers and use them. Just remember that the news ink never dries and will come off on your belongings. If you want to avoid the need to wash everything when you arrive, you can purchase packing paper from your mover. • Boxes: You can collect boxes from your local supermarket and other businesses. Select strong boxes in good condition and make sure they have covers. Divided boxes like liquor boxes are great for glasses and stemware. Your mover can also provide you with boxes especially made for moving. However, these boxes are expensive and you may want to purchase only those which are usually necessary like wardrobes for hanging clothes, mattress cartons, and cartons for large pictures, mirrors and table lamps. • Sealing Tape - Use plastic tape that’s 1Ѕ-2” wide • Magic Marker – to mark boxes for contents and special instructions like “fragile”, “this side up”, etc. Now that you have all your materials, you’re ready to start packing! Start as far ahead of time as you can. Waiting until the last minute will create a nightmare you don’t want to experience! If you begin early you can pack a few boxes a day and have everything completed without stressing yourself unnecessarily. It’s really important that you keep your packing organized; it will save a lot of confusion later. It’s best to pack a room at a time so that you can keep everything thing together that belongs together. Start in areas containing articles that aren’t used frequently such as your attic, basement, garage, etc. You can leave an extra box to hold items that can’t be packed early. Packing Up the Kitchen The hardest room to pack is probably the kitchen so let’s discuss that in detail. Remember when you’re packing fragile items to pad the bottom of the box with several sheets of paper. Place the heaviest items on the bottom of the box and the more delicate things on top. When you pack flatware like plates, saucers, etc., wrap each item separately and then combine in groups of three. Rewrap that group in more paper and seal with the plastic tape. Each group will then be better protected. Stand them on end in the box. You can nest glasses and cups 3 or 4 together and separate with small sheets of paper. It’s best to pack them in divided containers if you have them. If the box isn’t full to the top, stuff with additional paper. If you don’t have divided containers, you can place them in other boxes where you have empty space; just be sure to fit them in toward the top of the box so they aren’t crushed. Don’t nest Goblets and stemware, wrap them individually. Try to keep small kitchen appliances like the toaster, crock pot, etc., all together rather than mixing them with other items. Wrap them individually with 2 or 3 sheets of paper and wad up paper to fill any empty space. However, if you have a lot of extra room you can add some pots and pans. You can nest pots, pans and large bowls in groups of 3 with a couple sheets of paper between each of them. When you pack boxed foods such as cereal and rice, be sure to seal the tops with plastic tape. (Remember to do this for salt and pepper shakers also!) If your things are going be stored for very long, you may want to discard these items to avoid rodents or insects. You can pack filled canisters as long as they are individually wrapped and the tops are sealed with plastic tape. Finally, here are some miscellaneous tips to remember: • Don’t pack anything that’s flammable, combustive or explosive. This includes items like aerosol spray cans, gasoline, and paint thinners. • Empty all drawers. • Pack heavy items like books and canned goods in smaller boxes. • Pack bulky and lightweight items like toys, blankets, and pillows in large boxes. • You don’t need to wrap toys, books and shoes individually. • Stand books and records on end. It isn’t as hard as it sounds, but it you don’t want to deal with packing, your moving company will be happy to pack for you ~ of course, that service comes with a very hefty price tag! Happy Moving!

Park your garage sales on the internet

You have been planning your garage sale for weeks now. Your garage, as well as you whole home, is stuffed with old records, books, clothing, vacuum sweepers, and other odds and ends that you have no use for anymore. Instead of just tossing your clutter into the neighborhood landfill, you’ve decided to hold one of the most time-honored traditions in civilization—the garage (or yard) sale. It can be a thankless task, becoming a pawnbroker for a day, but there’s definitely good money in it—if you know how and, more importantly, where to organize your garage sale. First, of course, you need to get your sales items together. Garage sales are a great way to recycle stuff that you no longer have room for. You’d be surprised what doodads and miscellany your neighbors will want—musty books, old silver wear, framed photos of long-lost third cousins, and other unmentionables that you’ve had no use for since who knows when. Even more surprising, your neighbors are willing to shell out cold hard cash for these items. That makes your garage sale a win-win proposition for you. Come to think of it, though, a garage sale at your home can be a real chore. It takes a Herculean effort to collect and organize every last little thing you want to sell. Then you have to tag each item and keep track of it in a hardcopy log. To ensure that your neighbors show up with cash in hand, you must create, print up, and pay for flyers, which need to be distributed on telephone poles and supermarket message boards across the region. The work can seem endless and your chances of making a profit slim. Don’t get me wrong. Your garage sale was a great idea, but as you can see, there are many limitations to holding one at your house the old-fashioned way. Get with the times. The garage sale has evolved thanks to the multitude of Web sites that allow you to sell your goods online. People are selling more stuff than ever on the Internet because of the convenience of Web classified sites. The Internet holds several crucial advantages over selling your stuff the outdated way. When you compare these benefits to the problems with home-based garage sales, you’ll see the difference: ONLINE: Your items are available for purchase for an unlimited time, until they sell. AT HOME: Your items are available until you call it quits for the night. ONLINE: Rain, sleet, or snow, your sales aren’t affected in the least. AT HOME: Better have a rain date or a very big umbrella. ONLINE: No need to constantly watch over your goods or interact with uninterested customers. Just wait until a customer contacts you by e-mail when they are ready to purchase. AT HOME: Be prepared for countless hours of staring down the street for customers to appear. When they do arrive, be prepared for too many questions but too few purchases. ONLINE: Advertise for free to your friends and neighbors over e-mail. AT HOME: Shell out money for flyers, after which you can get to know all of the telephone poles in your neighborhood. ONLINE: Spend your weekends the way they were meant to be: relaxing and enjoying your time with friends and family. AT HOME: Spend your weekend waking up early, buying and distributing flyers, lugging boxes, and waiting for customers. As you can see, it’s not an even match. An online garage sale wins hands down. Now that you’re actually excited to get started with your garage sale, you should know that there is one caveat. As easy as it may seem, your online garage sale will be even easier if you choose the right classified site. Your best bet is to do your research and find classified sites with the most features and benefits, such as (1) No sign-up, registration, or transaction fees. (2) Free ad listing with text description and pictures. (3) Long-term ad posting and free renewals. (4) Easy, accurate, electronic, and automatic record keeping. The best classified sites have these incredible features and then some. Not only will you be able to clean out your home’s clutter with the help of these classified sites. Your garage sale will also park a profit in your pocket.

Party favors make the occasion memorable

There are lots of great dates to throw a killer party, and the addition of party favors can add some fun to the celebrations. Here are some party favor ideas for some holidays that are a little bit out of the traditional. St. Patrick’s Day: It hasn’t received National Holiday recognition yet, but there is a great tradition of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in North America. It’s been almost three months since anyone last threw a holiday party, so this might account for some of the festivity that surrounds the day. Arm bands in green and white with a shamrock on them make for a great wearable party favor for the Irish holiday, and of course you can fit shamrock designs in anywhere you like. Shamrock boxes filled with candies, shamrock candles, even small shamrock figures will add some extra luck to your St. Patrick’s Day party. Cinco de Mayo: Cinco de Mayo is making its way north in terms of party celebrations. Americans have begun to adopt the holiday more for the flashiness of the event than anything else (It originated in Mexico as a celebration of the country’s defeat of the French in 1862). For Cinco de Mayo party favors, it’s all about adding that Latin flavor. Maracas are a great inclusion, colorfully decorated and fun to use. Try to find or make your own sombreros as candy holders. Sports Events: Major sporting events make for a great excuse to throw a party, and the addition of party favors is a fun and often humorous way to liven up the room. Super Bowl party-throwers should look into mini-helmets and footballs as a fun way to liven up the conversation. The World Series offers similar party favor accessories, look into mini team mugs and, of course, baseballs are cheaper by the dozen. The ubiquitous bobbleheads are also widely available and not too expensive, they can make for a great conversation piece and fun party favors. Whatever the occasion, even if they are not considered to be national holidays yet, throwing a party is a great way to let off some steam and relax with your friends. Party favors always liven up an event and give people something to remember the party by.

    Party jokes startling but unnecessary

Here, I focus on a range of items and features that we use in life without giving them a second thought such as Coca Cola, body muscles and holding ones own breath. Though, most of these notes are not fundamentally necessary, they are such that you can use them for a good laugh, at a drinks party or for picking up women or men. 1) Coca-Cola: Did you know that its original colour was green? 2) Mohammed: Did you know that this is the most used name in the entire world? 3) Geographical Letters: Did you know that the name of each of the continents begins and concludes with the exact same alphabet? Do not believe that? Look up Asia, Europe, Africa, America, Antarctica and the rest. 4) Muscle Strength: Did you know that the strongest muscle in the entire body is that one which we use to lick a popsicle? Your tongue. 5) Credit Cards: In the United States, were you aware that each and every person has at least two credit cards? 6) An Antique Machine: The word for an old machine that was once used for writing letters and other documents is the largest word that one can make if they click only on a single row of their computer's keyboard: typewriter! 7) Blink: Men wink at women, but research has found out that the average woman blinks nearly two times more than the average man. 8) Suicide: Even though you might have wondered if it was possible, studies have discovered that it is impossible to kill oneself by simply holding in your breath. 9) Licking: However much you may try, you will never be able to lick your elbows. 10) Sneeze: Try sneezing. People will automatically answer you with a bless you greeting. Have you ever imagined why? Some say that this happens because a sneeze stops the functioning of the heart for a very tiny second. 11) The Blue Sky: Did you know that a pig, no matter how much they try, cannot look up into the sky? 12) Twisting Your Tongue: We have all dabbled with different tongue-twisters in our day. But do you know which is the toughest? Sixth sick sheiks sixth sheeps sick. 13) Ribs: Did you know that you should try not to sneeze too strongly. Why? A very powerful sneeze has the ability to cause a fracture in your ribcage. But, then again, if you try and withhold one, you stand the chance of breaking one of the many blood vessels in your neck or head. This could cause death. 14) Cards: Did you think that the Kings are all just random cards referring to random figures? No. Each one signifies a different king: Diamonds for Julius Caesar, Clubs for Alexander the Great, Spades for David and Hearts for Charlemagne. 15) And finally: Most everyone reading this (Caught You!) are trying to lick their elbows at this exact moment! Conclusion: Most of these are not scientific facts, but they are hilarious, funny and can be used to lighten up the ambience when a conversation has gone dull. Use any and see your popularity rise up to great heights. Visit gambling-portal for more jokes.

Party supplies make the ordinary party extraordinary

Some people just seem to have a knack for throwing a great party. It doesn't matter what type of party it is - birthday party, anniversary party, bridal shower, or a "just because" party - some celebrations are simply memorable. What separates the memorable parties from the mundane? Great planning, imaginative themes, and exceptional party supplies. Great Planning Great party planning starts weeks (or in the case of a wedding, a year or more) in advance. Timing is crucial. If you're hosting a birthday party for children, make sure it doesn't overlap with kids' weekend soccer games or swim meets. Next comes the guest list. The most interesting adult parties are those that have a mix of people with different interests and backgrounds who wouldn't normally have the opportunity to mingle. Then come a variety of other lists and plans: the menu, the shopping list, the all-important timeline, the entertainment, and so on. Imaginative Themes Memorable parties often have imaginative themes. Instead of a run of the mill Sunday barbecue, why not throw a luau, replete with palm trees and tropical drinks with parasols? Costumes are a necessity at a Halloween party, of course, but costume parties are a blast at any time of year. Why not adopt your own version of the Fire and Ice Ball? Or throw a "Summer in January" party as a winter pick-me-up? Even small get-togethers can have themes. If you host a book club, for example, encourage members to dress as the characters in the book. If you're a member of a monthly poker game, assign a theme to each month and have players bring small favors relating to that theme to give to the night's biggest loser. Exceptional Party Supplies Great party supplies add excitement, enjoyment, and an element of surprise to any party or event. The hosts and hostesses of the parties people remember know that party supplies are key to carrying out party themes and adding that special something that other events lack. Party supplies encompass a vast array of fun extras. Themed plates, napkins, cups, pinatas, balloons, and favors are really only the tip of the party supply iceberg. There are also centerpiece decorations, customized invitations, cake toppers, party poppers, banners, and table skirting. Many people shy away from party supplies because of a perception that party supplies are too expensive. The reality is that high-quality discount party supplies are available - you just have to know where to look. If there's not a discount party store franchise near you, let your mouse do the clicking. The Internet is a great resource for the bargain party supplies that will turn your next party from super to spectacular.

    Party time choosing party invitations

Parties are thrown all the time. They are a great excuse to get together with friends and have a good time. There are also a great way to show admiration and respect for great people and their accomplishments. No matter what the occasion, a beautiful party invitation is the perfect way to set of any event with style. There are so many different types of parties. The types of party invitations that are ordered depend on the type of party being held. There are many wonderful party invitations for birthday, graduation, business gatherings, holiday parties, and any other type of party. Choosing the right type of party invitation is the first step in ordering the right invitation. Any type of party can have any number of themes. If it is a birthday party, how old is the guest of honor? Is it a milestone birthday? Whether it’s over the hill, or sweet sixteen, choose the right theme in the party invitation to create a unique feeling for the party. Choosing how many invitations to order is an important decision. Invitation companies typically require a minimum order of about 50. If there are less than 50 invitees having extra invitations will come in handy for last minute invites or for mistakes. If there are more guests than the minimum order number of invitations, it is a good idea to order extras for anything that might occur. Party favors are a great idea and can be incorporated right into the invitations. Choose from napkins, matchbooks, or scratch pads with the name of the guest of honor and the date printed right on them. Collectible glasses with commemorative phrases are also a great favor idea. Whether it’s a grand milestone birthday or a simple holiday gathering, start the party off right with great party invitations and tie it all together with personalized party favors that guests can cherish and use to remember the event for a lifetime.

    Passover laugh while cleaning

Passover, or Pesach as it is called in Hebrew, is the 8 day festival where the Jews celebrate their liberation from Egypt more than a thousand years ago. One of the most important features of this freedom festival is that the Jews cannot eat anything that is leavened. They eat unleavened bread. They must also make sure that no bread crumbs exist in or around the house: the cupboards, the drawers, the kitchen, behind the bed, under the refrigerator and anywhere else where crumbs might have fallen through. To ensure that the house is clean of leavened food materials, the Jews have to clean the entire house from top to bottom as thoroughly as possible. And they do. During the week before Passover, house cleaning is what goes on in most Jewish houses. To answer this demand and to ease the tension, here is a joke on this subject called Impossible Timing, which highlights this cleaning tension. Impossible Timing: Samuel, an observant Jew, who was also a financial wizard, left Brooklyn to accept the position of Vice President in a famous broker firm in Utah, which is well known for being a Mormon state. When they learned this, the company's directorate applied tremendous pressure on the company's president. "We are religious people here," they said. "It can't be that a Jew will handle all our money." The president tried to ward them off, but when he couldn't manage it anymore, he called Samuel to his office and explained the situation to him. Samuel was offered the choice of either converting or leaving the attractive job which also had a six figure salary quote attached to it. Samuel had no choice but to convert, and he went home and told his wife that from Sunday, they will start attending the Church services. A few months went by and his wife kept troubling Samuel about the conversion. "This is too difficult for me. I miss the Sabbath: lighting candles and blessing the wine. I miss the holidays. Money is not everything, Samuel dear." And with each time that his wife complained, Samuel's conscience increased until he could not take it anymore and he went to meet the company's President. "Look, I can't go on like this," Samuel said. "I am full of regret. Money is not everything. I can't sleep and neither can my wife. This is too heavy a burden for me to carry. I was born a Jew and I want to die a Jew. And if you want me to quit, I will without making any trouble." The President looked at him in wonder, "Listen, Samuel, I had no idea that this was so difficult for you. I thought it was a trivial matter. But you don't have to leave. Everything will be the same as before: you can stay here with us without converting. Samuel returned home happy and grinning from ear to ear. He ran to his wife, who was watching Ricky Lake, "You won't believe it! It's a miracle. We are going back to being Jews, and I still retain my job." His wife looked at him with eyes that spat fire, and said," Are you mad?" Samuel was shocked. "But I thought that this is what you wanted!" He cut in. "All this while you have been crying and complaining. Don't you wish to go back to becoming a Jew"" His wife looked at him with ever more fury, "Of course I want to. Of course I want to," she said. "But now? Only a week before Passover?"
