The future of search engine rankings

How do you plan for future changes in search engine rankings? It would be great to have a crystal ball, prying into the plans of the search engines and how they may change weights of algorithms and the like. For those of little SE understanding, algorithms are formulas or rules set up by SE's to determine ranking. Each rule then has a different weight or percentage of importance assigned to it. A good example of this is currently Google's high weighting of linking over all other factors or rules. So knowing this how do we get ahead of the game? Do we simply keep up with the Jones (Google) in current time and not worry about future changes? Or do we allow for future changes in algorithms so we don't have to go changing thousands of pages later on? For me I will take the later.... and this is how it's done... We simply build in all factors that the SE's currently rank sites on, a few they may use into the future and concentrate on ones that are the most sensible.... here is a list domain name >> the name itself, length of registration past and future domain hosting >> good hosting network. different ip range for mininets/virtual real estate meta tags >> title, keywords, description on page >> keyword density, headers, alt tags, outbound links, outbound link text, site map, less graphics, no flash or frames visitor usability >> fast loading, good content, good navigation, search equipped, site map html >> w3c compliant directories >> dmoz & yahoo, local, industry specific, large generic linking >> inbound links, reciprocal links, domain & text linking (spread), same/similar industries (semantic latent indexing), no linking for bad neighborhoods or sites, quantity & quality of links, where links are placed on the page, link density, ip class/range I'm sure there are a few others that I could add to this list however on the whole currently this is it. If you include all of these items into building your next web page and sites, no matter how the SE's decide to change their algorithms by giving one factor a higher importance over another, you will be in good stead to keeping up top rankings. Like anything else, high search engine ranking is not rocket science! You just have to know the rules and then do the work. Start with one keyword or phrase, do the research, implement a plan, do the work, get the high ranking and then move onto the next keyword or phrase..... And if you want a huge head start, there's some great info out on fast SEO ranking. Happy rankings....

    The google adwords keyword tool

If you want to run an effective Google Adwords campaign, you'll find it necessary to learn to use the Google Adwords keyword tool. This handy little tool allows you to select keywords and establish how much you are willing to pay per click for ads that appear on web pages and search engine results pages that contain the identified keywords. Choosing the right keywords is very important to your success in operating an Adwords campaign. You want to reach an audience that is likely to want and need your product or service so that, once they arrive at your website, they will convert to a sale or lead. Having people click on your ad does nothing but cost you money unless you maintain a high conversion rate. When choosing the keyword or keywords that you want to target, keep in mind the keywords that your website is based upon. Those are, at least in part, the keywords you will want to select for advertising. However, you may have keywords on your website that are much broader than those that you want to use for your Adwords campaign. Whereas a person selling classic car parts online might use "auto parts" as a keyword on their website, it would certainly be a very bad choice for an Adword keyword. Driving traffic that are seeking auto parts for late model cars will simply leave the website as soon as they see what is offered and, since you choose the keyword, the click would still cost you money. Instead, focus on keywords that are very directly related to what you offer such as, in the case here, "classic car parts", for example. That way, only those people searching for and visiting websites related to classic cars and parts for those cars will see your Adwords campaign. The Google Adwords keyword tool allows you to add and remove keywords at any time you choose. You aren't tied to using keywords that aren't working for you for any specific length of time. If you find a keyword you have selected is working very poorly, go to the keyword tool and remove that keyword from your campaign. You might replace it with a better keyword, or simply drop the keyword and not replace it at all. The greatest thing about Google Adwords is the flexibility. You can change anything about your campaign at any time you want. Keywords that prove effective can be changed to a higher price per click while those that offer little traffic can be changed or removed. Find keywords that drive traffic that converts and stick with those keywords. A great alternative , even better than the google adwords tool is the new keyword elite which has more options and will give you the exact adwords pricing for each keyword and per search engine as well as competition, adsense high paying keywords and so on.

    The google age ban

: This is not official as expected Google will not confirm this, but I have been researching a lot on this subject and fond this to be true. I have a number of website less then six months old still not ranked on Google and sites that are older that are. The SEO information site news have run tests on this them selves and found the same to be true. So why they have done this we do not know but all I can guess is Google are looking for well rooted sites on the search engine. If you want to get ranked on Google you will have to use a domain name older then one year or at a push six months old. Do not get put off by this as there are lots of other search engines out there, we do not no if the other search engines will copy this but if they do this would not be good. You should continue to submit to Google and run business as usual but do not full into the spam trap, what I mean by this is submitting to Google over and over as you do not see your website. Google can ban your domain and put it into the sand pit this is something else Google will not confirm. New sites still get a page rank you no the green bar in the tools bar but the link popularity do not seen to be right. If you found this article of some use then that makes me happy.

The google feedback loop for quality traffic

**For this to work, you need some kind of tracking for your website/web pages that tells you which search engines send people to you for what keyword searches. Now truly, for a website owner there is nothing more fascinating than their own stats, so if you don't have good tracking software yet, do go out and get some. There are many versions about, still many free ones available, and please, DO get started with tracking your pages and their performance.*** Now, let's get started. The Google feedback loop works very simply and like this. Let's say you have a website and you find out that a particular phrase turns up in those search engine referrals which sends you some people reliably, week in, week out. It doesn't matter if it's only a few, what DOES matter is that this is ALREADY HAPPENING. Therein lies the key! As an example, I noted that just because there was a phrase that related to this by accident in one of my essays, I got some 14 people sent to me because they were searching for "symbols of eternal love". Down the list a bit further, there were another 9 who wanted "eternal love symbols", and then the many more single queries with random variations on that phrase. A total of fifty visitors who would otherwise have gone elsewhere, every month, on that one key phrase. That's nice and as it doesn't cost us anything beyond a little time and ingenuity, and ... ... and this is IMPORTANT! ... ... and as I can PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION on this key phrase because that is completely within the brief of my site and what I do ... I can now begin to enter into the "Google feedback loop". So now, I shall expand on this idea of "symbols of eternal love". I'll keep the original article and reference just the way it is, but I'm going to HYPERLINK the phrase where it appears in the text, and make another page with USEFUL AND MORE IN DEPTH information on "eternal symbols of love", including images, references and natural language copy. When I do this, the following happens. Firstly, we don't lose what traffic we are already getting by NOT CHANGING THE ORIGINAL REFERRING PAGE. That's important! Secondly, we are now offering the visitors MORE AND BETTER information on what they are looking for, and this will be appreciated and can be used as a starting point for a further relationship with the visitor - they may go from there to download something, or perhaps bookmark your pages because you're on the right vibe, perhaps buy something or tell a friend or a group they're on, or a forum, to go check out your site - all sorts of things can and do happen from there. Thirdly, and this is where the "feedback loop" happens, you now have MORE and MORE VARIED keywords relating to the topic to show, more content and this will BRING YOU UP HIGHER in the rankings for that search overall - which results in MORE people clicking on your site's link, which in turn helps with your rankings. Well, perhaps I should have called this a feedback SPIRAL because what NOW happens is that not only do you get more than your original 50 people coming every month, but you also get that same effect again - there might well be SOME THING on your further page that brings in that first flow of visitors for ANOTHER specific keyphrase which can be treated in much the same way - hyperlinked to a new page with more in depth information and even better quality content. Go on like this for a while with the FAVOURITES amongst your key phrases, and you really will: 1. Find whole new "markets" or groups of visitors you've never had access to before; 2. Get more people for the already existing content as your site moves up in the rankings; 3. EVOLVE your site and your web presence in a very safe and expansive way - and without risking being dropped for the original content because that doesn't change. A last word of advice before I go. PLEASE stay within the context of what you're doing. No-one is served by having visitors who are the wrong crowd for your services or plans or desires. If you are selling sun flowers, there is NO POINT in going after keywords relating to audio engineering or motorway maintenance. Ok so you might get a bunch of visitors, but they WON'T stay, WON'T buy and WON'T do anything other than pass through like a breeze in the night and leave you wondering why you get hits but no sales! If you *do* stay within the brief or context of what you are doing, and you go after the keywords and key phrases that MAKE SENSE in the context of your site, on the other hand, the "Google Feedback Loop" is an EXCELLENT way to improve quality traffic long term, and reliably.

The heavily optimised seo article as legitimate search engine doorway page

The doorway page, the satellite page, the channeling page, the information page, the landing page, the entry page, the bridge page..., whatever you call them they've long been considered the bete noir of seo or search engine optimisation. Everyone's got their own definition but all of them embrace roughly the same principle, a heavily optimised keyword or keyword phrase-riddled page built solely to attract the search engines that then links back to a main web site. Some of these will be made up of pure and absolute nonsense bar the top paragraph, that will be proper English with a link back to the main site using the keyword or key phrase as anchor text in the backlink or IBL (Inbound Back Link). The same keyword or phrase will similarly appear in the page's title tag, the meta description tag and the header or H1 tag, while the rest of the page will be utter gobbledegook, machine-generated Babel spam with the keyword or key phrase sprinkled randomly through the content just to a density which will appeal to the search engines. Others will be made up entirely of this machine-generated keyword or phrase riddled spam and will automatically redirect through use of javascript or a meta-refresh to a completely different site. SEO techniques like this, when (not if) discovered will inevitably suffer some kind of search engine penalty if not necessarily an outright ban. Traditionally it will characteristically also be a page that stands alone outside the main body of a site, existing on it's own as an individual entity. It will have no incoming (IBL) links from the site; any that it does have will probably be coming from series of similar pages, all created with the same aim in mind, to rank highly in all or a particular engine for a particular specific search term. If you do a search for doorway page in Google amazingly there are still adverts for companies who openly announce their dubious expertise in this frowned upon SEO practice despite the very highly-publicised decision by Google to ban BMW for, among other things, their blatant use of this forbidden SEO technique. Perhaps a better approach would be to note that now, though, you can legitimately use this basic optimisation technique by making each page into an article and submitting it to an article distribution site. No-one seems to have realised yet, or if they have they haven't drawn any particular attention to it, that while using doorway pages is still very much a Black Hat SEO technique, one that can and has been known to get sites banned, you can exercise good White Hat SEO by creating articles that perform exactly the same SEO function as a doorway page and no-one will complain or even adversely comment. It seems that, in the eyes of the engines, if you hang the label "article" on a certain kind of doorway page it then becomes perfectly acceptable to all. For instance, is this article linked to from my site? No it is not. Is this article heavily optimised with keywords related to SEO and key phrases related to search engine optimisation? Indeed it is. It fulfils, then, at least some of the criteria exponents of so-called "Ethical SEO" would use to label it as search engine spam, but manifestly, in commenting on the phenomenon it is itself a part of, it isn't spam at all, more (I believe myself) an example of social commentary on the search engine optimisation or SEO industry. So then, is this article itself a doorway page? Like so much in search engine optimisation, that really depends on your own individual point of view. My advice? Look not at what I say I do, look instead at what results from what I do - if I have a high-ranking stand-alone page for popular SEO keywords with a link back to my main site from it, one that can not be banned for being a doorway page because it is in fact an article that's about doorway pages, what will the consequences actually be? Strange, Grasshopper, strange are the ways of the SEO!

The importance of anchor text keywords

: While any webmaster knows that doing some link exchanges will bring more visitors on their site, few people know how to use the full potential of a link exchange campaign to boost their website popularity. One of the key elements that determines web page rankings is the number of high quality links pointing towards that pagebined with the keyword density of that particular page, these factors will determine where your web page appears when a search is initiated. Let’s say you have a website on wood carving. Now, one of your pages is dedicated to wood carving tools, which is also the key phrase you optimized the page for. A good keyword density is not enough, however, and if you want to tank high you need to get as many incoming links pointing towards that specific page as possible. While links pointing towards your domain name are valuable, you actually need to get links pointing towards that particular page in order to get the best results. Anchor keywords The anchor text is the one that you can insert in an HTML code so that your link is actually a series of keywords or a keyword-rich phrase. The importance of anchor text keywords is high because it tells the search engines that the page the link is pointing at is focused on the topic described by the keywords. Here is how the HTML code for a link looks like: Keyword Rich Description In the case of the wood carving site example, the link for the specific tools page should look something like this: Wood Carving Tools The web browsers will only display the link anchor text, so the phrase “Wood Carving Tools” will become underlined and hyperlinked. Where to use anchor text? Everywhere! When you are doing link exchanges, when you are posting on blogs, forums or groups. When you are creating your website description, when you are sending articles to ezines and directories. For example, if you plan to send a few articles for submission to a directory, you should try to include keyword rich anchor text links in the resource box. By doing so, you ensure a much better chance for ranking high on particular keywords. Always remember to use a keyword rich phrase in links that allow HTML, instead of the classic yoursite. It also helps if you use variation in the keyword text links. When posting on blogs, for example, try to have your links point to different pages on your site, and for each page use the main page keyword in the anchor text. This is also true for article submissions. You should submit one article to as many directories as possible, but change the link and keyword anchor text once in a while. A great source for submitting articles is: o MyContentBuilder Article submission can be tedious, which is why you may want to consider an automatic article submitter. It will submit one article to over 30 directories in half an hour. To watch a video on how to accomplish this, go to: o 1trac/dt/t/Article_Submitter_Video. php

The importance of backlinks from directories

Backlinks are a highly important and necessary part of any successful website. Backlinks are essential for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) because they help to judge the popularity and importance of the website based on their backlinks to other sites. That is the main reason there are so many directories online. One well known directory is the Canadian Business Directory. Ca that is well known for accepting Canadian only businesses. You get listed and you get a backlink, simple as that. Search engines use a number of standard criteria to rate sites on the web and backlinking is high on the list. Backlinks are actually rated by the various search engines by keywords and the content of the backlinked sites. For example, if your site is about how to cook a hamburger, you would do better by linking to a site about recipes or food preparation than by linking to a site about downhill luging. Why? Because search engines actually cross check the content of not only the link, but the actual sites the link is connecting so they (search engines) can make sure the webmaster is not trying to gain higher SEO by doing things like running several unrelated sites at the same time and linking them together, using hidden links, or using automatically generated pages. Backlinking is an effective way to generate website visits, but you have to understand that you site will not become popular overnight. Backlinking is a way of getting that needed traffic to your site and you have to do it correctly and smartly. A great way to achieve visits is by linking to other similar or related sites to yours. For instance, let’s use the hamburger example again. Sites you would want to link to would be sites for frying pans, barbeques, or sites that are associated with growing the cows. By doing this, the search engines will pick up on the fact that you are using quality links that fit into the area of your site’s expertise. Another way to create strong backlinks is through hyperlinks. When you are creating your hyperlinks, don’t simply put “Qlick here”, use “Visit the tips page for hints on how to make the best hamburger.” This will ensure your links are using the same terms as your site and those you backlink to. If your business is in Canada then submit your web site to this Canadian Directory to improve your backlinks. canadianbusinessdirectory. ca/

The importance of seo for effective internet marketing

If you are already running an Internet marketing campaign or are about to embark on an Internet marketing campaign, one concept you cannot afford to skimp on is search engine optimization (SEO). SEO is one of the most popular buzz words in Internet marketing but unfortunately most Internet marketers simply do not know enough about SEO to make this strategy work for them. Even those who are knowledgeable about SEO may have difficulty executing their SEO strategies to produce the desired affect. Advertising is a very important part of running any type of business. You need to advertise to reach new customers and market your products or services. Whether you run your business online or not you probably already realize how important it is to advertise but if you are running your business online you should understand there is a great deal of free advertising available in the form of optimal search engine rankings. Well known search engines such as Google rank websites according to complex algorithms which are designed to determine which websites are most relevant for particular search terms. Therefore taking the time and effort to optimize your website for relevant search terms may result in you being rewarded with high search engine rankings for these terms. This is important because most Internet users rely heavily on these rankings. It is not uncommon for Internet users to only review the first few results when they search for a particular term. This means if your website ranks high enough to appear on the first page of the search results you will likely enjoy increased website traffic. However, if your website doesn’t make it to the first page or even the second page, it is unlikely you will receive a great deal of website traffic from visitors who use search engines. Now that you understand why search engine rankings are so important you might wonder how to achieve these rankings. The easiest way to optimize your website is to hire a SEO specialist to do the work for you. The world of SEO is complex and continually evolving making it difficult for most business owners who do not specialize in SEO to keep up with the changes in the industry. Therefore, business owners who attempt to optimize their website by themselves may have difficulty keeping up with competitors who hire a SEO consultant to optimize their website. The algorithms used by search engines can be rather complex and include a number of different factors. Some of the common factors in the equation include keyword density, META tags, titles, inbound links, website traffic and content. Keyword density refers to the number of times a particular keyword is used in the content of your website. The theory behind this concept is that website which use a keyword often are likely extremely relevant to that keyword, however, overuse of that keyword may result in penalties to the website if the search engine deemed the keywords are not being used appropriately. META tags are pieces of HTML code which some search engines use in evaluating the content of a website. Placing keywords in these tags can be beneficial in some search engines. However, care should be taken to avoid placing irrelevant keywords in these tags as this may result in your website being penalized. Inbound links are also used by some search engines to rank websites. Inbound links refer to links on other websites which point to your website. In evaluating the worth of these inbound links, some search engines consider the rank of the website providing the link to your website. This means you should ensure the website providing inbound links to your website are high ranking websites to receive the most benefit from these links. Finally, the content on your website can do a great deal to bolster your search engine rankings. Most SEO firms retain a staff of writers who are skilled at providing quality content which is also optimized for relevant keywords. If you hire a SEO firm who does not providing copywriting services you should invest in hiring a professional writer yourself. This will help to ensure the copy on your website is not only valuable to your visitors but also considered valuable to search engines.

The jury is out on keyword discovery

A great new software, maybe....... but is the price worth it? The major problem I have with the software is that it only gives a full 12 months demand/competition figures unless you upgrade to the "Paid API" version which will cost you $400 per month or $3000 a year. The question you need to ask is "what are you using keyword tools for"? To make money today? Or to obtain yearly stats? With that in mind, here are a few problems..... 1. If we are looking to make money today (which most of us are) ...... We need statistics that are up to date for the present...... The keyword "web traffic" at the present gets a lots less hits than "increase web site traffic".... But if I were to use keyword discovery it would actually tell me the opposite based on "yearly" figures. Now if I were a keyword discovery subscriber, only used KD and started doing a lot of work on "web traffic", optimizing my pages, increasing inbound links, etc. And then later I found out that the stats where wrong and I was doing all the work on keywords that were actually receiving a lot less hits, I would be pretty angry to say the least. So the major problem is this.... I use keyword tracker, I find 100 terms with high demand/low comp right at this present time..... I throw up 100 pages based on those terms and get high ranking for 40..... I make many sales I use keyword discovery (standard subscription), I find 100 terms with high demand/low comp over one year...... I throw up 100 pages based on those terms........ And only get high ranking on 10 "because" 50% of those terms "right at this very moment/right now" have a lot more comp or less demand than they had 6 months ago. 2. Now say we want long term results? This would be beneficial if we find keywords that continually have high/demand low comp over one year. However from my experience this is very rarely the case due to "online competition" and an ever changing marketing environment. It would be of benefit to larger websites looking for "medium" competition rates on keywords of which they wish to dominate. With this they then implement an SEO campaign to gain ranking. 3. Having all the country SE's is a benefit but only if you can localize..... As I am trying to rank for terms on search engines where my listing appears, including searches from engines where it will not only distorts my figures and therefore what words I may try and optimize. 4. Where are the KEI results taken from? Not meaning the search term itself but the occurrences? Pages/websites for what search engines... I could not find this information. So what does this all boil down to? *If you want long term keyword stats for your online business..... KD just might be the software for you. In all fairness it does also include many other features that you will not find at Keyword Tracker, if these are what your company requires. If your looking for long term stats but without the competition ratio try... >> https://adwords. google/select/KeywordToolExternal * If your looking for short term stats you have two choices.... Keyword Discovery at a price of $3000 per year >> keyworddiscovery Or Keyword Tracker at $250 per year >> web-traffic-toolz/wordtracker. html Like I said the juries out and it all boils down to what type of service and tools your looking for but as the saying goes.... "the devil is in the detail".

    The latest seo myth debunked

: As more people come into the search engine optimization industry, more unqualified people are in the market making uneducated claims that they declare to be facts. The latest claim being made by a few people in the industry is that your competitors can knock your web site from Google's search engine results pages by simply directing links to it (called "Google Bowling"). Fortunately, this is not true. Unfortunately, many people relying on the "professional" advice of the SEO firms making this ridiculous claim could be put in a bad situation because of it. The information that they have tried to use to substantiate this claim is the word "almost" in one line in Google's information for webmasters. "There's almost nothing a competitor can do to harm your ranking or have your site removed from our index." The fact of the matter is that the word "almost" does not make prove anything. To say that it proves the validity of the claim makes no more sense than saying it proves that wearing blue socks on Tuesday will hurt my competitors web site. In reality, SEO firms making claims like this are usually trying to create excuses for their own web site not ranking. Perhaps they should spend some of the time they've been using to create intricate fairy tales and spend it to get up to date on search engine optimization facts.

The magician s wand seo technique

: I know most of you will be surprised to read the title of this article. Actually this is what search engine optimization is all about. There are a few points which every search engine optimization engineer should remember. Going through this will not only get you a better SERP's ranking but also will increase your Google PR. 1. The more your websites content is unique the more chances are that it will rank at the top. So place your website content with some unbelivable words like for example - thought provoking content. 2. Many people do submit articles to various sites and think there job is over. But if you really want your article to make headlines, you should make it as unique as possible like the title above which is "The Magician's Wand SEO Technique". So now you know what this technique means. 3. Getting Linkbacks: Most SEO's think the more the linkbacks the better the PR and SERP's which is one of the most biggest rumours going around in the world of SEO. Concentrate more on Anchor Text: Anchor Text means the title of your LinkBack. Eg. If I give a link to latur. info from an article or a website, it will not be of as much of value against a Linkback which is like this Latur City . This is a very important thing while you buy paid links. 4. Don't place common anchor text on hundred's and thousands of sites as these can be identified by Search engines as link spam or a Black hat technique. Instead, work on the Magician's Wand Technique of Search Engine Optimization. 5. Avoid Link Farms: Avoid sites which offer thousands of links instantly by placing a folder on your site. This is one of the worst methods of getting linkbacks. While submitting to directories, have a close look at the PR and the quality of the backlink. 6. Make use of all tags in your pages like title, description, keywords, header 1, header 2, alt of images by focusing on 10 main keywords for optimization. 7. Install a sitemap script for your website if it has thousands of pages and set a cron to update it daily if you wish search engine's to crawl your site regualarly. You can find many such scripts on the internet today. 8. Sumbit to as many quality directories, article sites and Press Releases as possible. While doing so the most important factor to remember is that all these should have a unique content and anchor text. As this is what I am using for several years successfully and which I am promoting as "The Magician's Wand SEO Technique". So do try out these tips and give your comments on this article.

    The myth of link exchange

If you have a web site that is getting much traffic, you will sooner or later be approached by someone who will want to link to your website and have a link from yours to theirs. It has been widely reported that this will help you get better positioning in search engines. This is and is not true. While having someone link to your site might drive traffic if they visit your site from a link on that site, having links that are not relevant to the content on the linked sites on your site may actually harm your ranking on the search engines. Search engine positionint on sites like Google are based on a point system. This system adds or subtracts points from you for various reasons. For example it used to be that if you hid keywords on your page repeated over and over, you moved up in the search engines on a relevance basis. This practice over time became known as a form of "spamming the search engines". When you have hidden text on your page (hidden text is when you make the text the same color as the background so it is invisible to the user) you lose points in the rankings and move down the list. Search engines have been made very intelligent by their creators. They do things like compare the keywords to content, look for content changes, and compare the content of site links contained on the site to the sites they link to. If the content is relevant to the site chances are it helps your site rating. If the links are not related, it can hurt your ranking. It seems then that to have effective linking we should only link to sites that contain complimentary content. If I have a business site, my site should link to other sites with business content. To link my site to a beauty salon site would probably do very little good for me as far as traffic is concerned and would very likely be detrimental to my site ranking. Now I do not want to deter you from having advertising on your site. Ads are a different animal. Links usually are all grouped together on a page of suggested links while ads are usually mixed in with the content and take the form of banners. These types of ads will not hurt ranking. Most profit driven web sites have some form of ads on their site and the search engines are made to take these ads into consideration. To sum it all up, links are good only to sites that are relevant to your content. If someone asks you to do a link exchange that is not relevant to your site, thank them for the offer and decline politely. If their content is related to yours be sure to make it happen if you have a way to do it. As a web master who enjoys a top 5 listing on most search engines on the internet I can say that when it comes to learning how the search engines work it is better to have linked and lost than to have never linked at all. ;-)

The myth of search engine optimization

There are only 10 spots in the top 10 spots. This might seem like a repetitive statement, but it is making a point. For companies to be selling the availability of 10 spots to thousands of companies makes for a mathematical anomaly that all the keyword buying in the world won't be able to solve. The danger of all this madness is that, like with the original internet boom, the SEO (search engine optimization) boom will go bust as more and more companies get tired of spending money for results that somehow always seem to get replaced by excuses. There are ways to naturally secure a reasonable position on search engines. They include: Embed Keywords in Your Content - the placement of keywords (words you want your website to be categorized as and words you want the search engines to pick up on) in your page title and throughout your content will allow the search engine spiders to identify your site as you wish to be identified and place your site as part of searches for the words you select. The placement of the most critical keywords in the title tag will result in a higher search placement because the search engines place the title as the clickable link on the search engine results page. Once upon a time meta tags and meta keywords were used by search engines to evaluate content and search relevancy. This is not done anymore, partly because spammers abused it, and partly because the search engines could not figure out a way to monetize it (as they have with keyword purchases). The use of meta tags and keywords within your content is still helpful though in that they are often what is used in the description of your company on the search engine results page. By the way, make sure that while you are creating content that will be noticed by the search engines you don't wind up creating content that is either incomprehensible or irrelevant to your readers. It makes no sense putting all this effort into getting people to visit your site if they can't understand a word of what you've written once they get there. Have a Proper Architecture - search engines cannot index pages that are more than two clicks away from your homepage, which is about the same distance the average web user is willing to travel to get at your information. It is therefore necessary to make certain that the structure of your website is constructed to maximize both search engine indexing and userability. In this case the two converge, so it is an easy condition to agree to execute. Generate Link Relationships - to some extent, search engines rank according to some estimation of your site's popularity. One of the parameters they use is how many other sites are linked to yours. So you need to develop affiliate and other relationships that link their website to yours. This too is consistent with general good web marketing, and therefore should not arouse too much resistance. Search engine placement cannot come at the expense of your traditional and online marketing programs. It could, perhaps, be a component of your integrated plan, but you need to make certain it does not take over your other activities. The lure of the search engine - this idea that leads are generated by the lead itself - is very seductive, and the reason why so many companies have forsaken much of their other marketing activity for the full time management of their keyword purchasing and search engine optimization activities. There have always been preferred places to advertise and there have always been preferred ways to generate leads - and often the only companies able to avail themselves of these top-tier opportunities were those with the financial resources to do so. Just as Time magazine has but one back cover to sell, Google has but 10 top spots for the keywords you want. If you have the means to purchase your place on that page, and you deem it to be a productive use of your marketing dollars, then you should do it. However, if you do not have the resources, and you are nonetheless spending money because some web marketing firm is promising you better placement, you are most likely throwing your good money away. Even with the pay-per-click model, which serves to reduce some of your risk, you are still paying for keyword purchase services and most likely other related services. Without spending real money you are either getting sub-par keywords or you are being placed well after the first three pages - and very few people bother searching after the third search engine results page. If you don't believe us, google it. You'll see.

The newest features of google sitemaps

Google has announced the addition of some truly useful features to make Google Sitemaps an even better tool for the web. They’ve given their site a facelift and made it easier to navigate. They asked for feedback and they listened. Hopefully, the result is something everyone will love. A feature that many webmasters will be happy to know about is the notification of violations. No longer will they be left in the dark about what is happening. They will know if they have violated the webmaster guidelines and why. The rules are pretty simple. Create your site that is truly helpful to your users and avoid doing naughty things just to increase your ranking. Linking to bad sites, hidden texts or links, installing viruses, trojans or other “badware” are just a few of the reasons why your URL will not be included in any Google index. You don’t even need to look far to know if you have a violation. Google notifies you directly on the summary page of your account. They also place a link to webmaster’s guidelines so you can double check that your site is once again in proper form to be included in Google’s index – this is the second new feature. Google does not want to exclude any sites that are good. It is possible that the violations were unintentional. It may even be that the webmasters truly have overlooked some items on their site. Google says clean it up and get the chance to be re-included. Re-inclusion is absolutely simple and easy. Once you see the violation notification, check what needs to be fixed. Correct the item that Google felt is a violation of their rules. Now all you need to do is click on the request reinclusion link on your summary page, or the link at the Google Sitemap home page, and fill out the form. Just don’t forget that you don’t need to request reinclusion if you haven’t received a violation. If you’re a new webmaster and need a helping hand, Google has a help center for webmasters. It has all the information you need to know about Google Sitemaps. If you have questions about Googlebot, crawling, indexing, ranking and the like, this is the place to go. If the answer you’re looking for isn’t there, no worries; the Google Sitemaps community is there to interact with as well. By the way, not everybody by the way receives a notification of violation. Google has chosen not to notify certain webmasters of their penalty in certain cases. For example, they will not notify a spammer that he’s been caught. Doing so will only alert him that they have caught on to his game and possibly trigger his making even sneakier ways to get in. On the whole, these improvements are wonderful additions and long overdue. Google really wants to improve their services and the best way is for people to keep using their products and giving feedback. The team behind Google is definitely listening.

The next generation of link exchange and search engines optimization strategies

Once your new web site is up and it is open to the public, it is vital to begin formulating a promotion tactic. The apparent objective is to catch the attention of as many visitors as you be able to. One of the finest ways to do this is by using a "Linking Campaign". A lot of non-reciprocal inbound links tells a search engine that your site contains valuable information, so you need to get those, but how do you do that? Let's say you have one more additional site with some pages already indexed in the search engines. Instead of promoting the new site that you want to rank high by placing a text link to it on all of the pages on the other site (which may be looks at as spam by many SEO experts), using a non-reciprocal link exchange network like LinksDealing, you can get hundreds of text links to your desired promoted URL with the anchor text of your choice from quality sites spread all over the Internet, which is something good for your link promotion efforts. LinksDealing is an automatic system that enables you to promote sites by almost instantly receiving many text links pointing to your promoted URLs. The text links are placed on quality sites, most of which are related to the same theme group as your promoted site, and these text links to your promoted site stay on those sites for a lengthy time. How does it work? When you signup as a member of the LinksDealing network, you contribute areas of text link placement on your other site's pages; these sites are named Donor Sites. You also specify another list of URLs that you wish to promote using the LinksDealing network; these URLs are named as Promoted URLs. The Promoted URLs in turn get text links from other members' donor sites' pages. The more donor sites you contribute to the Links Dealing network, the more text links from other members' donor sites' pages you get to your promoted URLs, thereby increasing the number of visitors to your promoted URLs and their search engines results pages placements for your desired keyword. Promoting your site and getting new incoming links to it should not be hard work, Visit LinksDealing to find out how to instantaneously receive many non reciprocal links to your website without the hassle of engaging in link exchange activity all day long.
