The relaxing atmospere of a spa experience has a very powerful healing effect on your body. It used to be that spas were about relaxation, beauty and pampering. Now the new demand is for healing modalities - body therapies that focus on moving energy in the body. Relaxation exercises, and other stress management techniques can be very helpful in overcoming stress and anxiety caused by everyday life.     Sometimes the workplace feels like a battle zone. With much emphasis placed on the importance of the company goals, markets and business plan much of the workforce feel an increasing pressure to perform at top levels at all times. Inevitably these requirements lead to stress and this must be tackled before it affects staff morale and productivity! I remember working in a restaurant many years ago and having to go out into the main mall and perform, what appeared to be, ludicrous exercises. We all thought it was designed to keep the workforce fit but it is actually an ancient Chinese method of stress relief. Tai Chi Chuan is a practise that the Chinese used to relieve stress and, in fact, try to avoid it in the first place. During the time of Mao Tse Tung this practise was widespread. At the beginning of each work day hundreds of employees were asked to meet at the main squares all over China to exercise. It is an elementary form of Tai Chi, the practice of extremely slow martial arts movements designed to balance the flow of Chi (life energy) around the meridian points of the body. The majority of people who practise some kind of stress control in the work place tend to be more successful in their careers and much more productive. You know the old axiom "a happy worker is a productive worker!" Some careers may be more stressful than others or more stressful at other times. However, the machine operator in a factory can be just as stressed as the office Administrator because each person is unique and each person's problems are just as important to them as the CEO's company problems are to him/her. Large corporations and medium sized companies tend to overlook this and must become aware of the situation if they wish to improve company productivity because the workers are the company! "Tension Prevention" is the name of the game. Stress management can be easily taught to the workforce by providing the knowledge and skills needed to identify rising stress levels and how to combat them. Good communication between all levels of the workforce, from upper management, to the labourer, is a very effective way of combating stress. Just the knowledge that someone is listening and prepared to take action on issues is enough to seriously reduce stress levels. Some jobs require a certain level of pressure but when this pressure get to a point when the worker feels he/she has no control then stress ensues. This sense of urgency can have a very destructive effect on not only one worker but on the company as a whole and starts snow-balling out of control badly affecting staff morale. Controlling stress at work will also reduce the negative impact on inter personal relationships outside work. Improving communication, time management and understanding of the affects of stress is key way to generate a peaceful environment and increased productivity. Current research suggests that fixed work-schedules contribute the most to increased levels of stress, the feeling that there is insufficient time to complete personal daily work tasks accounts for the greatest cause of stress at work. By incorporating a stress management system which is focused on time-dependent tasks, an anti-stress program to help workers combat stress, scheduled rest breaks, reward for productive stress-free work and combating non-productive workers that put pressure on their colleagues are all solutions that work.

         
    Dealing with the stresses of the corporate world

     

    Your fears, anxieties, and other business related problems have the best of you and you don't know what to do. Your job in the corporate world is stressing you out. What can a corporate employee do to manage his or her own anxieties and stresses? The first step is to try to find out what is causing your stresses. Once you know the reasons behind your anxieties, it is easier to develop ways to manage your anxieties and stresses. An employee has many options he can use to manage his anxieties. The most important thing to remember is to manage your fears and anxieties one step at a time. Some people make the mistake of trying to get rid of all of their fears at the same time. When they do this, they are unsuccessful and the fears and anxieties continue bothering the person. Learn to plan ahead. Some people wait to the last minute to do things. This can be a mistake. Before going to work in the mornings, set up a list of things you want to accomplish that specific day. When you achieve these daily goals at the end of the workday, you will feel more productive and be less stressed. If your corporate job is the source of your anxieties, then maybe you should try to find another job or find another company. People change jobs all the time nowadays. There is nothing wrong in finding another company or job that will be less stressful for you. Learn to take advantage of the help that is available. In dealing with your anxieties at your job, learn to take it one day at a time. While the consequences of a particular fear may seem real, there are usually other factors that can not be anticipated and can affect the results of any situation. Get all of the facts of the situation and use them to your advantage. Sometimes, we can get anxious over a task that we will have to perform in the near future. When this happens, visualize yourself doing the task in your mind. For instance, you and your team have to play in the championship game in front of a large group of people in the next few days. Before the big day comes, imagine yourself playing the game in your mind. Imagine that your playing in front of a large audience. By playing the game in your mind, you will be better prepared to perform for real when the time comes. Self - Visualization is a great way to reduce the fear and stress of a coming situation. Many times we get overwhelmed with many different tasks at our jobs. When this happens, a person should take a deep breath and try to find something to do for a few minutes to get their mind off of the problem. A person could take a walk, listen to some music, read the newspaper or do an activity that will give them a fresh perspective on things. This will help you to refocus on your present situation. Take a vacation day to relax. Many people work two jobs nowadays. Sooner or later, the long work hours will catch up with you and take a toll on your health. Take the day off and do something you enjoy. As a Layman, I know that our anxieties and stresses can be difficult to manage at our place of work. The better you can manage your stresses and anxieties, the better off you will be in the long run at your job and other business endeavors.

         
    Do you know the core issues to job dissatisfaction

     

    With any dissatisfaction the first step is resolve the conflict between head and heart. Emotion is a guiding signal. When apathy, dissatisfaction and depression set in then it is a sign something must change. This something could be in the heart or in the head (a change of perspective). Apathy is stagnation, or lack of movement, change by its very meaning indicates movement and so the stagnation is broken. We all need to feel important and that we are contributing in a worthwhile way. You have one of two choices, either find something to engage yourself in at work, or to change your career path. For most people the second option is what is really needed, though they fear it the most. They have taken a job that offers 'financial security' instead of following their dreams; and so imagination, inspiration and motivation all atrophy. However these dreams do not truly die and can be reawakened with the correct guidance. By clearing the fears and ‘what ifs’ around change, and in this case specifically the change of career, then his head will no longer try to suppress his heart. He is one step closer to resolving the inner conflict that causes the tension that is experienced, and reflected, in all areas of his life. By using Energy Psychology Techniques such as EFT these fears can be released completely, often in one short session. There are often a collection of fears and each specific fear can be identified and treated. Examples include the fear of not having enough money should things go wrong; the fear of not being good enough in the new career; the fear of being successful and the responsibility that would bring. It is these fears that cloud or block our motivation or desire to change. Many people go to motivational seminars or listen to motivational audio's to find the inspiration to change their lives. The only problem is they are feeding from someone else’s motivational energy. Shortly after the seminar this energy fades and they are back where they started. The word motivation is derived from the word motive meaning ‘the reason why’. It is essential if we want to have lasting motivation we discover our own personal reason why, our own purpose. When we have purpose we feel important and so our lives have meaning again. Friedrich Nietzsche once observed ‘He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how’. To achieve maximum motivation and to discover life purpose there is a very simple formula: Max Motivation = Passion + Purpose. Otherwise stated as find what you most enjoy in life, give it a purpose and you will find motivation to achieve it. Life is on average only 4000 weeks long. With only 7 days in every week you do not have time to sit waiting for life to get better. You create your own life through the choices you make. These choices are restricted by the fears and limiting beliefs you have established over a life time, many having come directly from your parents or society. Every excuse you have for life not being different is just that, an excuse. It is a reflection of those fears and beliefs that have limited you so long. Don’t waste another day, learn some techniques such as EFT that will clear those fears and limiting beliefs and set you free to live your life with passion and purpose. This new sense of joy for life will be reflected in your working life, your personal life and your overall experience of life.     Do you need relief from stress

     

    Amazingly, there are still a number of people who are unaware that they’re already stressed out and need relief from it as soon as possible. Or rather, there are some who refuse to acknowledge that they badly need relief from stress. Other typical symptoms of stress are impotence (unfortunately for the males), migraines and headaches, depression and a weakened immune system. Now let’s just say that you’ve found out you do need relief from stress. What should you do next then? Follow our two-step-guide so that you’ll gain relief from stress – dubbed as the #1 Health Problem of America -- although obesity may share that notorious title as well – in no time at all. First, you need to enrich, enhance and improve your time management skills. If Stephen Covey says it’s a must then who are we to argue? But seriously, with better time management, you’ll be able to give the proper amount of attention on yourself, on the type of food you eat and on the time you allow yourself to relax. Not only will it provide you stress relief, it will also take you out of the candidate list for heart attack, high blood pressure and diabetes, among other scary diseases. Second and lastly, take proper medication. Herbal medicine is something worth considering because it contains all natural ingredients therefore decreasing the risk of experiencing any ill side effects. But always consult your doctor first before taking any medication!

         
    Driving away stress

     

    It’s the morning rush hour, and your blood has reached the boiling point. You have exactly five minutes to get to work and you discover a major traffic tie-up along the freeway. You see the orange pylons and suddenly realize that you are stuck in a construction zone. The stress of being late for work seems overwhelming. Or, perhaps it’s 5:30 p. m. and you’re rushing to pick your four-year-old up from day care. A car suddenly veers in front of you and you have to slam on the brakes. You barely avoid an accident. Again, your stress level is rising and you’re finding it difficult to cope. In today’s world, driving is a major cause of stress. Many of us spend countless hours stuck in traffic jams. There seem to be more cars on the road than ever before. In many American cities, traffic problems are a major public safety issue. And, at times, it might seem as if drivers are less courteous than they’ve ever been. Another source of stress is the care and maintenance of your vehicle. You have to worry about paying insurance costs, inspection fees, rising gas prices, and basic maintenance bills. The financial stress involved in keeping a car on the road can seem tremendous. Also, you might be saddled with a car that has constant break-downs. If you feel as if your car is not secure, it can be quite a stressful experience. For parents, chauffeuring children can be quite a stressful time. You might have to referee fights between children as you drive. Or you might have to find innovative ways to keep children occupied during long commutes. Keeping children well-fed in the car can also be quite stressful. In desperation, you might pull into a drive-thru, where the wait seems intolerable. Driving stress is a fact of modern life. There will always be potholes, discourteous drivers, cranky passengers. You will inevitably encounter traffic jams on your way to work, to the store, or to school. There will always be times when you grip the wheel, wondering whether you’ll be able to make it. While you cannot eliminate the stress of the road, there are ways to curtail it. For instance, you might consider investing in some restful CDs. Classical music can be quite soothing on a difficult driving day. Or you might like to listen to a CD of nature sounds as you are trying to negotiate your way through traffic. If you don’t have a CD player, cassette tapes are another possibility. Also, if you cannot afford to purchase tapes or CDs at a record store, consider purchasing them at a yard sale or church bazaar. You can even borrow tapes and CDs from your local library. You’ll find that you’re better able to handle the stress of driving with some pleasant sounds emanating from your car stereo. Another thing you might consider is changing your route. If you inevitably end up in traffic jams on the freeway, consider using residential streets instead. While you might find that your commute time is longer, you might also discover that your stress is reduced considerably when your route is changed. Another technique that many drivers use is to start out five to ten minutes earlier than they need to. That way, you don’t have to operate under such a time crunch. Those five or ten minutes can make quite a difference to your daily commute. In addition, you might enjoy having those extra minutes to yourself once you arrive at school or at work. Driving is a necessary daily chore for most of us. The trick is to make it as enjoyable as possible in order to lessen our stress levels. Investing in a comfortable seat cushion or a relaxing back rest can do wonders for our frame of mind. Singing or whistling in the car can be another effective stress-reducer. Playing games with your children—such as trying to spot out-of-state license plates—can be yet another effective stress-reducing technique. Chances are you will not be able to reduce your stress level overnight. Many of us have become quite used to stress on the road. However, by trying to make our trips as pleasant as possible, we can go a long way to lessening driving-induced stress.

    Stress, the word brings so much in the minds of all people. Stress has become as common as the flying birds in the sky. It is very difficult to find a place where there are no birds, and similarly it is very difficult to find a person who is not stressed. This article tries to find out if screensavers with natural backgrounds can fight stress. Every thing causes stress. Every situation causes stress. Every thought causes stress. That is our life. How to fight this stress? Most of us feel less stressed when we go out in the outdoors, in the glory of nature. Watching flying birds, flowing water, lovely flowers, animals moving around in the jungles, and all such situations help us get relaxed and fight stress. Can screensavers that carry these images fight stress? They can if the pictures are life like and lovely. Why does anything that looks natural make us relax? Because nature is relaxed. You will never find anything in a hurry in nature. That relaxation of nature makes us forget our stress. When we view beautiful scenes full of relaxed objects, we get relaxed ourselves. The breath is your entry into your body-bringing light to the darkness, warmth to the coldness, and boundless possibilities for breaking free from your everyday reality. The following exercise takes less than a minute and you can do it anywhere-at the grocery store, in your car during traffic, even in the middle of a fight or disagreement with another person. Sometimes just one single minute can be your best friend! Launch Yourself to Places You Have Never Gone Before! 1. STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN-acknowledge you are stuck in a negative think-feeling pattern-you are stuck in a destructive cycle of reactions within your own body. 2. Become aware of your BREATH by listening to your breath going in and out your nose. Enter your body with your breath. 3. BREATHE to the negative feeling sensation in your body that is present wherever it may be, and as you exhale you are releasing the disharmony within your body. You are NOW free to deal with the situation in a creative new way! You are shifting the state of your body and mind away from disharmony (frustration, anger, fear) back to its natural state of harmony (appreciation, love, joy)! Within this state of harmony you are more flexible, resilient, and creative. Is it not wonderful to have a tool that will launch you into possibilities you never saw before!

         
    Eliminating undue stress in our lives

     

    When I come home after driving my car the keys either stay in my pants pocket or I put them in a specific place. At night when I take of my shoes they are then right beside my bed so that when I wake up I know where they will be. My desk may be a mess but I know where everything I need is. I am constantly telling my kids and my wife not to clean or move anything on my desk. Every Time they do I can no longer find things I may need. My Oldest son, Micah, when he comes home from work he takes off his shirt and just lays it someplace. The next day he tears up the house in a frenzy looking for his shirt. I remember once my wife pounding a nail beside the door and hanging her keys there. It took her almost a year before she realized that she hung them there. She tore apart the house numerous times looking for them. We finally spent almost a hundred dollars to get new keys made. If you are constantly losing things then you need to put everything in a specific place and always put things in the same place. Why go through the stress of frantically trying to find something because you didn't follow this rule? If you are walking in your house and you trip over something then move that thing aside so that you don't trip again. I've seen my wife trip over the same object half a dozen times. It doesn't occur to her to move the object. there are so many things we do that will make our lives a little easier. The ultimate goal is to reduce stress. Stress is probably the cause of the majority of problems in our lives. We can get sick unnecessarily because of the stress in our lives. It causes arguments with our loved ones and can ruin a day that would otherwise be a great day. If something upsets you instead of reacting right away why not take a few minutes and do some heavy breathing? If i reacted at everything that upset me then i would have fewer friends and not that great of a relationship with my family. There are many little things that we can do that will make life a lot easier. Rather then setting these big long term goals which could take a long tiime to see results make little goals and give yourself a pat on the back every time you reach one of these mini goals. And instead of having a different username and password for every site you blong to, your online banking, email, memberships, etc.. Why not use the same username and password for everything? You can always change the username and password once a month if you are worrid about somebody figuring them out. When starting a project finish it before starting another. Otherwise you will have all these unfinished projects in your life.

         
    Enhanced healing through music

     

    Music has always been a very important part of our lives, from childhood to our being an adult. As a part of our experience, music can have both a physiological and psychological affect upon us as human beings. In addition to the influence that it has on our life, music also has many therapeutic qualities and has been utilized in promoting a variety of healings throughout the ages. As we know further, music can be a very powerful medium for altering our state, of changing how we actually feel. More specifically music can be very effective in producing a very deep and healing state of relaxation and in the process, reduce stress and even promote sleep. Music can also be used to assist one in improving his or her self-esteem and furthering an individual’s personal growth and development, transformation. As a therapist I have always used relaxation music in my clinical and counseling work with others. I have found that when I use relaxation music during both an individual and group counseling session that my clients do more productive work, are able to focus more effectively on themselves and the issues that they are becoming present to because they are more relaxed, focused and centered and as a result, better able to concentrate. Being relaxed during the counseling process always tends to generate more productive results for the individual being counseled. Relaxation music can be a very effective and powerful aid for assisting a client to reach resolution with respect to that which he or she is working on with their counselor. The relaxation music that I now utilize during both my individual and group counseling sessions with others is that which is found on the CD, Prescription for Stress. The musical patterns that are on Prescription for Stress were originally developed for my work in counseling and especially in my hypnotic work with clients. In addition to its application for a traditional counseling session, the musical patterns on Prescription for Stress are excellent for assisting in the induction of a hypnotic state in that this music helps the client enter into a very relaxed state of hypnosis more easily. In the past I have used a variety of other musical compositions in my counseling practice but was very dissatisfied with the results that my clients and I achieved with them. As a musician I eventually decided to compose my own music and have found the results of my compositions with the clients that I work with to be excellent. After using the relaxation music that I composed for my work in counseling, I also discovered that the music had another application as well, that is, to assist anyone in achieving a very deep state of relaxation and as a result to effectively and efficiently reduce the stress in their lives. Managing our stress is very important if not crucial to our overall well being. Prescription for Stress is an audio product specially designed to assist an individual in managing and reducing the stress that he or she may experience on a daily basis. This audio health care product utilizes two components to assist an individual in effectively experiencing a very deep state of relaxation, reducing stress and also in promoting a peaceful, restful sleep. The first component is the musical pattern itself. I have found that musical compositions that are harmonically slow, repetitious, with sustained voices, which are rhythmically, random in tempo assists an individual in experiencing a very deep state of relaxation. The second component of this product is the binaural audio tones that are interwoven into the music. The binaural tones, through a process referred to as entrainment or frequency following, gently guides or directs the mind/body to generate more of the targeted frequency of brain wave activity whether it be for either profound relaxation or sleep. The first CD contains binaural audio tones within the alpha and theta range, which induces a very relaxed state. The second CD contains binaural audio tones within the delta range and thereby assists one in experiencing a peaceful, restful sleep. Anyone can experience the technology and effect of Prescription for Stress by merely playing it on their home audio system. Use of this powerful relaxation music can be accomplished by listening to it with ones stereo speakers or with headphones, the latter being the more effective way to listen to his product. Listening to Prescription for Stress with headphones allows one to experience the full effect of the technology, the uniquely designed music compositions combined with the binaural audio tones and thereby gain a deeper state of relaxation. Those who practice meditation, self-hypnosis or yoga will find that their practice is even more enhanced while listening to this audio product. Enhancing My Self Esteem is an audio health care product uniquely designed to assist an individual in improving his or her self esteem, supporting the development of a positive self-image and promoting the individual’s personal growth and development, transformation. Enhancing My Self Esteem will assist a person in changing negative and possibly even destructive thought patterns to positive and empowering beliefs about him or herself. Utilizing the same combination of original musical compositions and binaural audio tones as Prescription for Stress, Enhancing My Self Esteem is an audio health care product that creates a very profound and relaxing auditory environment, a space for the individual to become open or highly suggestible to a series of very positive affirmations. Within a conversation of transformation, the thoughts that we think and say or commit to word are very important, very powerful for improving our self-image and transforming our lives. Enhancing My Self Esteem is an audio product that creates a very relaxed auditory environment for the person to listen to, begin to practice and eventually accept 50 positive affirmations, affirmations designed to improve a person’s self esteem and begin the process of transforming his or her life. To fully experience the beneficial effects of Enhancing My Self Esteem it is recommended that a person listen to both tracks once a day for a minimum of 90 days. The first track has been designed for use with your stereo system’s speakers and should be listened to during the morning or afternoon hours. Track One provides a person the opportunity to consciously practice all of the positive affirmations, to commit them to word, to make them real. Track two has been developed exclusively for use with headphones and should be listened to during the evening hours preferably before the individual goes to sleep. The second track has been developed for a person’s unconscious mind and will be that which the individual takes into his or her dream state. Each listening should be done when the individual will be completely free of any distractions. After the first ninety days of use, it is recommended that the person listen to both tracks two times a week for another 90 days to further enhance the beneficial effects. In addition to anyone wanting to improve their self esteem and further his or her personal transformation, I also recommend that mental health and addiction-oriented counselors utilize Enhancing My Self Esteem with their clients. Most of the clients that mental health and addiction counselors see in treatment in either an individual or group setting have an impaired self-image and are continuously experiencing extremely low self-esteem. For whatever reason the clients that are seen by mental health and addiction oriented counselors tend to have many negative thoughts and beliefs about themselves, many negative affirmations about who they think they are. Assigning Enhancing My Self Esteem as homework for a client to listen to outside of the counseling session allows that client the opportunity to begin a process of improving his or her self-esteem and as a result to be more productive within the counseling session. I am currently using Enhancing My Self Esteem with all of the clients at the Holistic Addiction Treatment Program, a residential and outpatient program in North Miami Beach, Florida. The Holistic Addiction Treatment Program is an agency that treats individuals who suffer from alcohol or drug dependency. The vast majority of clients of this agency experience chronic relapse. Within Transformational Counseling, Enhancing My Self Esteem is assigned as homework for all of my clients, as a way of continuing the work that is presented in my individual and group counseling sessions, as a way of transforming the thoughts and words of the client. The prescription for use of this product is the same as mentioned above. After the assignment is made I always ask the clients about their use of this product, about what they are becoming present to as they listen. In addition to assisting the individual in eventually feeling better about themselves and increasing their motivation with their recovery, I have also found that Enhancing My Self Esteem tends to elicit important thoughts and memories from the past, thoughts and memories that are then processed in the preceding counseling session. Enhancing My Self Esteem is a very powerful, healing product. With continued use, clients tend to always report that they feel better about themselves and are more motivated, especially with respect to their recovery. When utilized in conjunction with Transformational Counseling, the effects can be extraordinary for a client. As Transformational Counseling is about an individual altering his or her very thoughts and words, that which has defined their very being in the past, Enhancing My Self Esteem is a product that allows a client to powerfully practice their transformation on a daily basis. While the basis or foundation for the actual transformation is in an individual’s language, the thoughts that he or she thinks and the very words that they say, the environment from which this takes place is one that is initially created through the power of music.     Exercise and stress

     

    Exercise may not be the most exciting word in your vocabulary, but it sure has a lot of benefits. Participating in daily exercise not only makes us healthier in general, it can diminish the effects of stress on our bodies as well. How many times have you heard someone proclaim, “The doctor says it’s stress.” ? We occasionally laugh it off, concluding that’s just what doctors say when they don’t know the real answer or diagnosis. But the truth of the matter is that too much stress plays a role in many diseases. To increase your immune system and decrease your stress levels, try some daily exercise. Movement is the key word here. Bend, stretch, reach, walk. And there’s no need necessarily to buy expensive equipment. You can implement more movement into your daily routine and reap the benefits. If you’re keen on aerobic exercise, grab a partner and have a blast with one of the basic aerobic videos. Or simply go out for a walk and enjoy spending time together. You’ve heard it dozens of times – walking really is the best overall excise for your health. As long as you have a decent pair of walking shoes, you’re in business! Also, as you’re going throughout your daily activities, make it a point to walk a little further, bend down and pick something up instead of using some sort of pick up stick or knocking the item toward you with your foot. While you’re sitting, do some simple stretches for your neck and shoulders. If you enjoy watching television, buy a jogging board. These padded boards make running, jumping or walking in place less stressful on your knees and joints. They’re easy to store and portable. In my opinion, jogging boards are the best piece of exercise equipment you can buy. And they’re far cheaper than bulky treadmills and stationary bikes, too! By making it a point to move more throughout the day, you boost your body’s immunity and stay healthier in general. There’s no reason to allow stressful situations to take a toll on your health.

         
    Exercise your way to stress reduction

     

    It is easy to let stress take over your life. From career to family to health to money to any and everything in between, most people feel like there simply isn’t enough time in a day to get everything done. Stress is bad enough in and of itself, but stress can also cause real physical and emotional harm if it is allowed to go unchecked. There are many drugs that are designed to reduce stress, but is putting extra drugs and chemicals in your system really the best way to balance things out? There is a better way to reduce stress in your life. One of the best and most tried and true ways for reducing stress is through meditation. Though it may sound intimidating, meditation has occurred in every culture in one form or another through out history. The following steps will help you learn to clear your mind and relax, and you will be amazed at how the stress seems to just melt away! Begin each relaxation time by reducing distractions, noise, and interruptions. Give yourself the time and privacy you need. Find a comfortable sitting position, wear loose and comfortable clothing. Relax and take several deep breathes. Close your eyes and try to mentally focus on one peaceful word, thought, or image. If there is a picture, a memory, anything that tends to calm you, try to picture that. For some people it’s the sound of the ocean, for others waterfalls, and for yet others, the memory of staring off a mountain peak. Clear your head, and let your muscles loosen up, don’t worry about what is going on around you. Relax and enjoy the peace that your image brings to you. When you feel yourself drifting away from the image, don’t force it to stay. This is a good time to stop. Stretch and exhale deeply as you wrap up. This is the most initial and basic form of meditation. While it would work in and of itself to reduce stress, this is also the basis for several other exercises and meditations. When you choose to push on, you will always want to start with this basic meditation and relaxation. As you go into further exercises, concentrate on whatever phrases help you relax. “Nice and easy,” is a good generic one, while Christian meditation may use a scripture such as “Be still, and know I am the Lord.” There are meditative scriptures for almost any faith, and plenty of non-religious phrases, chants, or incantations. Find the phrase that works for you, and look around for other exercises. Meditation is a great way to relax, and will do more to improve your health and reduce stress than any drug, and the only side effect is a calmer healthier life as a result of your improved mood!
