    Tips for snorkeling

Copyright 2006 Rob Daniels Snorkeling is a great way to introduce yourself to the ocean. But like any sport/activity, it is important to be aware of basic safety rules to ensure that your snorkeling experience is enjoyable. Be Calm Choose calm conditions to enjoy a safer snorkel. Make sure the water and weather conditions are safe. One day the waves can be a meter high, and the next day the water is still. Calm water will make the snorkeling experience more enjoyable especially for beginners. Typically, a morning snorkel is best, while afternoon snorkeling may have more of a current and sea breeze. Well Fitting It is important that the snorkeling equipment properly fits snorkelers. Choose a pair of swim fins that fit your feet comfortably and a snorkel that will fit easily in to your mouth. Fins that are too large will often slip off swimmers feet when they are swimming. Masks that do not properly fit will often allow water in. Swim The best thing anyone can do to stay safe around the water is to learn to swim. While non-swimmers can snorkel using a life vest, it is generally a better snorkeling trip when able to swim. While snorkeling, it is important to keep your bearings. Following fish can be a fun pursuit, but be careful not to swim to far from the shore or boat. It is also important to be aware of any current; if you feel yourself drifting to far from other snorkelers or the boat be sure to signal others. Study the Site Prior to diving find out the potential problems or conditions that surround a specific dive site. If the particular site is well-known for the waves, currents, shallow spots, difficult entries or exits be sure to wear a life jacket. Being aware of your environment prior to snorkeling will mean that you can focus on snorkeling when you are in the water. Do Not Touch Don't put bare hands into crevices or holes. Never touch, handle or feed marine life except under expert guidance and following locally-established guidelines. Where possible, walk on bare surfaces to avoid trampling marine life. Learn the Basics Learn how to clear water from the snorkel and learn how to put your mask back on when you tread water. It is important that even beginners know how to clear water at the surface and resume free breathing without removing snorkel their mouth. Clean Up Take your garbage home with you, especially things that require special disposal, such as batteries. Be respectful of the environment so that others to can continue to share the beauty and fascination of the underwater world.

Tips for staying safe while kayaking

Copyright 2006 Rob Daniels While kayaking is an enjoyable sport, it can also be dangerous. Be sure that you are prepared and practice safe kayaking. Kayak Plan First and foremost file a float plan. Many paddlers enjoy solitude when kayaking or canoeing, but its important that paddlers let someone know where they will be paddling and approximately when they will return. Additionally they must adhere to their float plan. In the event that something tragic were to occur a float plan gives rescuers a starting point. Prepare to Kayak Kayakers should prepare for a day in the sun or rain. Coastal Regulations dictate that paddlers must have at least the basic safety equipment for a day's paddling. In a kayak under 6 meters in length you should have basic equipment for a day's paddle on a soft adventure. This equipment should includes: a life jacket (PFD), a sprayskirt, a pump or bailer, sponge, paddle, a whistle, a paddle float, a spare paddle, and a buoyant heaving line. Additionally kayakers should include a small first aid kit with a foil survival packet, waterproof matches, a kayak repair kit, toilet paper, extra warm clothes and duct tape. Lightweight Rain gear or paddling jacket is also a good idea. Paddlers are also encouraged to bring paddling gloves to prevent blistering, quick-drying shorts, sunscreen, and sunglasses. Paddlers may also want to bring flares, and a weather or marine radio. Be sure to bring a cap or hat to provide protection from the sun. Paddlers should have waterproof boots or good sandals. If the temperature are cooler warm close toe shoes are recommended. During the cool part of the year, long underwear and a warm change of clothes are advised. Kayakers should also bring an appropriate amount of fresh drinking water. Take at least one liter of water for a day's kayaking and a be sure to bring a snack. Using a camel pack will make the water accessible while paddling. It is very easy to get dehydrated, up to three liters of water is recommended for warm days. Select a personal flotation device designed specifically for paddling and comfort. Make sure the device is comfortable in whatever activities you hope to do, paddling, racing or fishing. While comfort is important it should not be at the expense of adequate floatation. Utilize hatches and dry bags or boxes for organizing and stowing gear inside the boat. Minimize the amount of deck cargo. Deck cargo interferes with wind, and makes a capsized kayak more difficult to right. Be sure to use dry bags, boxes and packs for above deck storage with kayaks that do not afford internal access. Learn the Basics First If you are new to kayaking, take it slow. For your first few outings, go with an experienced and knowledgeable kayaker who can teach you the basics of paddling. The instructor might be a friend, adventure guide or kayaking instructor. One of the more important things to learn is a rescue or wet-entering. Before venturing out on your own you should really be comfortable with the kayak, be aware of your limitations in various conditions. Inspect Kayak Before starting a paddling trip be sure to properly inspect all of the equipment. Inspect the spring that holds the paddles together. Check the foot braces or sliders for wear. Inspect the rudder or skeg control, if necessary apply WD-40 as a lubricant. Make sure your seat, foot braces, and rudder assembly are all in good shape prior to paddling. Inspect any components that could break and replace anything that is beginning to wear too much. Check the kayak seat, some are uncomfortable. In order to increase comfort you can add thin foam to the seat and try adjusting the seat back. Be aware that by raising the seat one-inch with a cushion, the stability of the kayak might be compromised. Make sure neoprene hatch covers are in good shape. Never paddle a boat without watertight hatch covers unless your boat has tapered buoyancy air bags. Check the Weather Prior to taking a kayak trip, be sure to check the weather conditions. In addition to the weather be aware of the wind direction and tide tables. If tide and wind are traveling the same direction, water conditions are often somewhat calm. When the wind is traveling against the tidal current, waves will be created and make kayaking more difficult especially for beginners. Navigation All kayakers should carry navigational tools. A compass, charts for the area protected in a waterproof bag, tide tables and a handheld GPS unit will make navigation significantly easier. Transportation Be sure that you do not drag your boat on the beach. When the kayak is out of the water do not sit on the hatches or decks. Fully loaded kayaks should not be carried by the handles, they should also be supported by a hand under the keel to reduce the stress on the carrying handles. When transporting the kayak on top of a car, tie the kayak tight across the width, but allow bow and stern tie downs to be slightly loose. Be careful that the kayak does not fill with rain when being transported. Kayak Storage Store your kayak resting on fitted padded rests. Your kayak can lose its shape if left sitting on a flat or rugged surface. Preferably the rests should be placed close to the bulkheads. Keep in mind that salt corrodes metal fittings so be sure to rinse the kayak with a hose after ocean use. UV rays destroys plastic and fiberglass so be sure to keep your kayak out of the sun during storage.

    Tips for traveling with children

Getting ready for a family vacation with a baby? Many things can make the trip a more enjoyable experience, depending on the age of the child. Of course, if the baby is still in diapers then having a good supply of diapers and baby wipes is a necessity. Bottled water for drinking and for rinsing out cups is a plus. Snacks, the healthy sugar free variety are also a necessity, and pillows and blankets to make the child comfortable during the long ride. If your baby is old enough to pay attention, then travel games, coloring books, and toys that are quiet enough to avoid driving you crazy can be helpful. Also a travel DVD player that plugs into the car’s cigarette lighter for power will allow the child to watch a favorite video, keeping him or her occupied and more comfortable. Read along books for children are handy as well. These books have recordings the children listen to while looking at the pictures and the words underneath, teaching reading skills at a very young age. Possibly the most important tip would be making a schedule and setting realistic driving times each day. Adults can handle longer spans of time in the car than children can, and especially babies. Try not to spend more than eight hours a day driving, and have rest stops every couple of hours to stretch legs, and get outside in the fresh air. Jill is a mother of two who has fond memories of traveling with her children as babies and toddlers. She tells many stories of trips to the lake, the park, the beach and even to Disneyland, bringing her small children along and says that the experience wouldn’t have been nearly as enjoyable for her or her husband if the children had stayed home. She does however, recommend thoughtful planning. “Story books were great. I read to the kids while my husband drove, and that kept them occupied. It also often makes them sleepy and led them to frequent nap times.” Jill also recommends coloring books so that the kids can amuse themselves. Ditto for the sugar free snacks. You won’t want to get the children running in overdrive on a sugar rush. But children do get hungry frequently, so keeping a good supply of crackers, fruit snacks and other things the kids enjoy will make the trip more enjoyable. It helps travelers, that so many rest stops these days, have baby changing stations in both men’s and women’s rest rooms. This allows both parents to handle the child changing chores, and eases traveling tensions. Jill’s friend and neighbor Sally also remembers traveling with very small children, and offers this advice: “Baby wipes. Have lots and lots of baby wipes. You never know when you’ll need them. And be sure that you make rest stops every hour or two. The kids will get a bit cranky and stopping for fifteen minutes can make a world of difference. Also, be sure to bring animal crackers, graham crackers or some other sort of snack, and bottles of water or fruit juice to wash it down with. Keeping a child fed with keep a child happy.” Traveling with a very young child can be a challenge. If you have friends with older children, ask them what they did to ease the stress of the rip with traveling with the children in earlier years. It always helps to learn from someone else’s experiences. Also, ask your own parents what they did when you were a baby, and how they handled traveling situations. It also doesn’t hurt to check out the local public library for parenting magazines and books. Being a parent is a very responsible job and learning from others is only wise. However, traveling with your baby or other young child will provide you with a great deal of enjoyment. If you take a camera or video camcorder you’ll be able to record the trip for future memories, and have stories to tell for years to come. So enjoy traveling with your baby, but be sure to plan ahead.

    Tips for traveling with infants

: Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, there is a chance that you might find yourself traveling with an infant, and in this case, there are many things for you to consider. Traveling with an infant is unlike traveling with a small child, or even a toddler, so whether you are a parent or a babysitter, it is important to be prepared, especially if it is going to be a longer trip. Though it is easy to get anxious and concerned about this situation, the truth is that many people travel with small infants and if they remember to take the proper precautions, the trip can actually go quite smoothly. The important thing to remember is that an infant, just like everyone else, has things that need to be packed and day to day needs. Of course, the first things to remember are the day to day hygiene supplies. Diapers, diaper rash cream, wipes, and a reusable pad to change your baby on are all basic things that you will find in your normal gear, so remember to pack these. Look around for travel-sized bottles of baby wash, baby lotion and disinfecting hand gel to make sure that you can keep everything tidy, and don't forget to bring a good change of clothes, especially ones that can easily be washed clean. As a general rule, remember that blankets in the car are usually a good idea; you can cover yourself when nursing, keep your baby shaded or cushioned as well provide a soft and clean place to sit down if your baby wants to roam a bit. Remember extra pacifiers, and if your baby is on solid foods, remember baby food and an easy to carry and clean plastic feeding set. Take a look at everything your normally use to feed and water your baby, from formula to juice to sippy cups to plastic nipples, and bring those along as well. If you are going to be on the road for more than one night, a few things can make it easier for you as well. Take some time to find a good nightlight, to make sure that you won't be stumbling blearily around your hotel room at 3 AM, and just in case of bumps and contusions, remember to pack a first aid kit. If you are going to be going some place where you are going to be walking a great deal, remember that a snuggle sack will help you keep your hands free for other things. For your own convenience, you may wish to think about purchasing an inflatable tub, a collapsible stroller or a travel playpen to keep your child occupied. Traveling with an infant can in no way be considered lightweight, but rest assured that if you take the proper precautions, it will not turn into the disaster that you might fear. When all is said and done, don't forget the digital camera, either; can you imagine how cute he or she is going to look?

    Tips for visiting detroit

All my life I have lived in Detroit. I have often struggled with where I should take visitors that come in from out of town. Detroit is not Chicago, New York, or Boston. However, if you look in the right places, there are many great sites to be seen. To be honest, Detroit has seen better times. Growing up in the city, I remember many great things about the city that no longer exist today. However, I think the city is on the rise and there is a great future ahead. Downtown Detroit has improved and there are many more improvements in the works. For those with the entrepreneurial spirit, I think this is a great place to be. In this article, I will give you my top ten things which you should do on your visit to Detroit. 1. The cultural minded should spend a day at the Detroit Institute of Arts. The museum has over 60,000 works of art in their collection. The collection includes paintings by Cezanne, Degas, Rembrandt, Rubens, and Warhol. 2. Visit Belle Isle. An island park, located in the Detroit River, originally designed in 1883 by Frederick Law Olmstead. He was the designer of Central Park in New York City. At the tip of the island, you will find a great view of downtown Detroit. 3. Have a hot dog at Lafayette Coney Island. A “Coney” in Detroit is a hot dog covered in chili, mustard and onions. Lafayette is the best in the city. Don’t just order a dog. Make sure to include chili fries and a coke. 4. On any given Saturday, visit Eastern Market. This is the farmer’s market for local area. After browsing the spectacular fruits, vegetables, meats and other food products, head over to the Russell Street Deli. The sandwiches and food cannot be beat. 5. For those animal lovers, visit the Detroit Zoo. The Zoo is not located in Detroit proper. It is located a two miles outside the city in Royal Oak. Over 3,000 animals call the zoo home. Considered a cultural gem. 6. Now that the Detroit Tigers are contenders, take in a baseball game at the new stadium. After the game, take a trip down to the old Tigers stadium at Michigan and Trumbull. Marvel at the place where Ty Cobb once played. It may soon be gone. 7. For what I call the ruins of Detroit, visit the old Michigan Central Station. It was built in 1913 and abandoned in 1987. It is the largest train station I have ever come across. You can get a spectacular view of the building if you are coming over the Ambassador Bridge from Canada. You cannot miss the building. It is the one which has no windows. 8. Take a trip over to Windsor, Canada. It is just a short drive through the tunnel or across the Ambassador Bridge. Windsor has a nice downtown and many great restaurants. The best Italian restaurants are located on Erie Street. 9. Take a trip to the suburbs. Just outside the city, visit Ferndale, Royal Oak, and Birmingham. They are all off of the Woodward Avenue corridor. Each of these towns have a small downtown with unique boutiques and restaurants. Each one is good for an afternoon of browsing. 10. Further up the Woodward corridor, visit Cranbrook. An educational community started in the early 1900’s. It features architecture by Eliel Saarinen, Albert Kahn, Steven Holl, Tod Williams and Billie Tsien and Rafael Moneo. It has been called "the most enchanted and enchanting setting in America". I hope my tips will provide you with some ideas of things to do on your visit to Detroit. I am sure I have missed some great places. The key when visiting anywhere, get out and explore.

    Tips for visiting epcot

Since its opening in 1982, Epcot at Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida continues to be rated as one of the most popular theme parks in the world. Million of visitors come from all over the globe to visit this top-notch theme park. Epcot’s blend of education and entertainment make it an enjoyable experience for guests of all ages. Visitors to other Disney theme parks, like the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland may be used to the crowded areas and slow moving lines that cause a great deal of stress to their guests. The design and layout of Epcot is more conducive to park touring, allowing guests to roam more freely without feeling crowded or packed in at any park area. When planning your visit to Epcot try to allow two full days to touring the park. Epcot is nearly 300 acres and has two sections, Future World and World Showcase. Future World usually opens at 9am but closes around 7pm, two hours before Epcot’s closing time. World Showcase opens at 11am and stays open until 9pm. The popular Illuminations show begins each night at 9pm and is considered the “finale” before the parks closing. If you are able to visit Epcot for more than one day you will be able to visit at a more leisurely pace. It is suggested that you visit the attractions at Future World as the park opens, and then make your way into World Showcase. Your first day at Epcot will be spent mostly in Future World, with such popular attractions as Soarin, Mission Space and Test Track. Most major attractions at Epcot can be found in the different pavilions, The Land, Living Seas, Universe of Energy, etc. You should allow about one hour when visiting each pavilion as the attractions include pre-shows and most times a wait on line. Disney’s FastPass feature allows you to secure a return time (with a one hour window) so that you may return to the popular attraction at a set time and enjoy a shorter wait time. Currently the FastPass system is installed on the most popular attractions such as Soarin, and Test Track. When you move into World Showcase you will get to visit the different countries represented here at Epcot. Guests will visit eleven pavilions for such countries as Canada, Mexico, Norway and China. Some countries feature movies or rides, while others are mostly shops and recreations of popular tourist attractions such as the Eiffel Tower. With some planning, your visit to Epcot can be one of the most enjoyable vacations you will ever have! © Copyright MouseManual, All Rights Reserved.

Tips for what to bring while vacation hiking and walking

Here are some suggestions for your walking - hiking vacation equipment. This is not intended as a complete list, just a guide to get you thinking. The most important item to bring is a quality comfortable daypack or backpack to carry your goodies in. There are few things to keep in mind when choosing the right pack. Wider shoulder straps are more comfortable than narrow ones. Look for extra padding. These two things can save you a good deal of discomfort. You can also look for packs that have an attached belt that goes around the waist. This can help tremendously to support the weight of the pack. Make sure you get a pack that is big enough to carry the items you have chosen to bring. This will vary from person to person so try to plan ahead before you purchase your day/back pack. Look for a pack with quality material that will hold the shape. Multiple compartments can be useful for finding things quickly. If on a guided tour, keep in mind that the company will probably be moving the big baggage for you. Water is not an optional item. You should carry enough water to last for the whole duration of your walk. Unfortunately water is fairly heavy and bulky. This is another reason to get a quality comfortable pack that has room enough to hold your water bottles. The Food that you bring will depend on your individual tastes and the nature of the walk you are planning. High energy snack foods are popular because they are light and carry well in the pack. Others are salty foods, trail mix, hard candy and electrolyte powder or drink. When it comes to clothing - be prepared for anything. The key is layers so that you can adjust easily to changes in weather and temperature. For the inner layer, avoid cotton as it absorbs moisture thereby keeping it close to your body. Best are man-made "poly" type fibers. These will wick moisture away from the body. This includes your socks. A thin inner poly layer can be covered with a thicker layer of another material for cushioning. The outermost layer should be wind resistant and don't forget a raincoat. If you are properly prepared walk in the rain can be a wonderful experience. Make one of your optional layers a heavy wool sweater along with warm wool hat. These can be extremely useful when "sunny and cool" suddenly turns to "cloudy, damp, and cold". You can never count on fair weather. Plan for the worst. But don't let a little bad weather discourage you. Think of it as "atmosphere". A little wind and rain will make the next pub stop that much cozier. Invest in a good pair walking, running or hiking shoes that do not bind either at the toes or on the sides. Be sure to break them in before using them on the extended distances. A hat, preferably with a wide brim, will help keep you cool and protect you from the sun. A bandana is good head protection and is an all around useful item to have. Sunglasses with polarized lenses are essential eye protection. For skin protection you will need +30PF or higher sunscreen. Walking Stick Moleskin or molefoam for blisters Insect repellent Map First-aid kit Flashlight (make sure the batteries are fresh) Camera, film Notebook and pen Binoculars Compass GPS Pedometer Electrical outlet converter (depending where you travel)

Tips on how frequent travelers can stay healthy

Travel for business or pleasure can bring to the fore several health concerns. The most common ailments people experience while on a trip are hypertension, colds, and diarrhea. In order to build up resistance to fight diseases you must adopt a healthy lifestyle. Get adequate rest, adopt a good exercise program, eat balanced meals, avoid fast foods, and food full of saturated fats, and take vitamins and any other medication prescribed by the doctor. One of the simplest rules to stay healthy while traveling is never eat uncooked foods and do not drink water that is suspect. To protect yourself pack a small medicine kit as well as your medical records and insurance card. To maintain your health be sure to follow an exercise regime while traveling. You must walk, jog, swim, or use the hotel gym. Or you could play an exercise tape on your lap top and do your exercises in the hotel room. The secret to staying healthy is to stick to a routine and eat balanced meals at regular times. Here are a few tips: • For every time zone you cross, take a day’s rest to allow your body clock to reset itself. • Avoid alcohol but drink plenty of fluids. The crucial thing is to avoid dehydration. • While on the plane try and rest as much as possible and exercise by getting up and moving down the aisles. • Eat low fat meals on the plane, eat lightly, avoid salty, rich, and fatty foods. • The CDC recommends that you drink only bottled water and that too the carbonated kind. The water bottles must be sealed and opened by you only. Do not use ice cubes under any circumstances and drink out of a straw. • Use bottled water for brushing your teeth and for gargling. Wash you toothbrush in bottled water. Try and avoid using tap water. • Eat and drink anything that is at boiling point or deep fried. Eat freshly cooked food. Avoid meat and seafood if you are traveling in interior areas where the meat is unlikely to be fresh and freezers and refrigerators are not dependable. • While in flight you should do a few stretching exercises to avoid cramped muscles. Yawn frequently or chew gum to de-pressurize your ears. Avoid drinking coffee before and during a flight. Wear comfortable shoes and loose clothing. Include plenty of greens and carbohydrates in your pre-flight meals. Relax as much as possible and take a few deep breaths before boarding a flight. • If you suffer from hypertension, motion sickness, an overactive bladder, weak digestion, or allergies consult your doctor before undertaking an extended trip. Be sure to pack in your carry on bag a bottle of water, a few snacks especially if you are diabetic, as well as your first aid kit. Pack a light jacket or sweater to wear in case there are great variations in temperature.

    Tips to finding cheap airfare

For anybody who enjoys the advantages of being capable to fly, then finding a cheaper airfare ticket is actually amazing feeling isn't it. And so a lot of folks hold up their upcoming air travel plans because they might not have the acquirable finances for their pricey airfare, but if you do the right research and search around you possibly be able to afford the airfare costs because there is a possibility you could obtain it at a much cheaper price. The internet has several different choices available for you when you are researching for cheaper airfare, you simply have to recognise where to find it. Perhaps somebody you know has obtained cheaper airfare on the internet and they could pass on the information that you require to assist you in your hunt for much better airfare prices. Still, they don't make it easy to find, if that were the case then no one would be paying these overpriced prices for their airfare tickets, they would all be enjoying the ability of flying at a cheaper price and enjoying every minute of it. Remember that planning for your trip and not being overly picky are the two most significant matters to keep in mind while deciding on purchasing your airfare tickets. Also a lot of folks are more concerned about departure times, returning dates, available seating, and no stopovers, I suppose that these folks must enjoy paying exceptionally higher prices when performing their traveling. Flying more cheaply doesn't imply that you'll not still have numerous other opportunities of enjoying certain luxuries, you'll merely have to take the time out to search in the proper places for these kinds of major discounts that are available, either on the internet or by asking a family member or a friend that has experienced with air traveling. Whenever you are arranging your planning and you encounter an airline that is not typically talked about or not familiar, then your chances of being able to select that flight are actually high and the price difference will be tremendous, when comparing it to a few of the upper airlines that are as well available. Like I said before, if you want a cheaper flight some of the times being picky can keep you from taking the trip that you had hoped for. Keep in mind that being flexible when picking out which airline you can take and at what kind of schedule you would prefer, can truly help your opportunities in finding a cheaper airfare for your planned vacation. There are several rewards of finding airfare at a cheaper price. First off, you will have additional money to spend on your fantastic holiday. As well, having the confidence that the flight is really going to be able to take place, because of not having to worry about the funds not being available for the trip that you were anticipating. It's simply an overall much more satisfying feeling in knowing that you were able to fly to your destination, and at a very reasonable price.

Tips you should know about airfare

If you have not done any flying lately, when you actually do, you are going to discover very fast that the prices of airfare have moved upwards quite a bit. One of the causes for this is that the price of jet fuel has raised enormously and it appears like it will carry on doing so for a farseeing time to come. Encountering a fairly priced airfare at present days it rather difficult, some of the times even impossible it appears. Still when you plan ahead for your trip, it doesn't mean that you'll be able to save some money. You never can tell about these airfare prices from day to day, even if you are a more knowledgeable traveler. When you have discovered that airfare ticket you are requiring to purchase, take it! Don't delay believing that the costs might end up going down, chances are, the prices can end up becoming even higher. A lot of folks make these mistakes and wind up paying more than they would have had to they should of taken the right opportunity when purchasing their airfare. The best thing to remember when planning on any kinds of travels by air is that, regardless what safeguards you take up when purchasing your airfare, some of the times you just have to live with the reality that fuel costs going up can not be helped and you simply have to prepare for this the best way possible. Possibly think of trying to save some money throughout the year so that airfare expenses won't be so much a concern for you. Being flexible during your traveling planning is actually important in having got the ability to travel without being overly stressed out. Flexibility will leave you to perhaps find an airfare ticket at a reasonable price and it could as well allow you the ability of finding an airfare ticket with packaged deals that are maybe available when buying your airfare. If you are overly picky when it concerns when you will fly, where you will sit, also concerned about the number of stopovers you might have to deal with, you are merely ensuring that you are going to experience a miserable time at the airport with all of the crowds and you will not be capable to enjoy your flight because of all of the negative energy you have now put into your traveling plans. The internet is the main resource that most folks use when starting to prepare for their traveling experience. On the internet you will have the ability to discover several different discounted tickets which will change from day to day. You will have the convenience of purchasing your airfare tickets, right from your own home, with no concerns of being put on hold or being transferred on the phone to people that can't help in giving you the information that you actually need. Always make certain that you compare your airfare ticket prices, so that you don't end up losing out on that much needed price reduction.

Tired of sea swimming beach life and hot summer visit prague

The holiday season – the best time for travelling – has already come and I am ready to invite you to one of the most beautiful cities in the whole world. Do you plan to spend this summer in Prague? Would you like to know how to enjoy your stay in the capital of Czech Republic? Or do you sill hesitate what to do in the late summer? I have some useful tips for you all. Prague is a city of many faces. It has its long and sometimes mysterious history, breathing from each building in the old centre. On the other hand, it is a modern city with a lot of new. The first thing you come across when browsing through any Prague’s tour guides is surely Prague Castle, Charles Bridge or Old Town Square. These three places are undoubtedly the main points of Prague’s history, connected with many important persons and occasions. They are really worth seeing. Because of their popularity, they are almost anytime too crowded, therefore not so safe. If you are early bird, I do recommend you to come there in the early morning, when you can walk freely without any noise and people and feel and smell the magic of unforgettable city. For those, who like trips with tour guides, there are some agencies organising various tours through Prague. You can choose the right thematic walk just for you. My second tip is connected with typical Czech cuisine. Czech beer is almost world known, but what about Czech meals? Have you ever tried garlic soup, bouillon with vermicelli, roasted sirloin beef in sour cream sauce with dumplings, roast pork with sauerkraut and dumplings or dill sauce? If your answer is “no”, you meet with a part of our culture in any Czech restaurants in Prague. There is a variety of typical Czech restaurants that offer Czech cuisine, Czech beer and Czech folklore as well. In this way you can enjoy your evening with very good meal and also get to know character of local people. Do you prefer night life to sightseeing? Prague is ready to meet your wishes too. You can make a choice for many music clubs in the whole city where you hear music of all genres – everything from jazz, pop & rock, oldies, ska or reggae to dance music, hip hop, house, metal or punk. Whatever you like. Most of them are situated in the centre – on Wenceslas Square or within a walking distance from there. Of course, there are a lot of other possibilities how to spend your night – sailing on the Vltava River, night Ghost tour through Prague or visiting theatre or multiplex cinema. My last tip is mainly for families with children. Small children don’t want to sight-see the whole day that’s why I recommend you a visit of following places. There is one place that is never failure for small travellers and it is a zoo. Prague’s zoo belongs to the largest in Europe. It has a lot of programmes for visitors such as feeding of animals, their presentation or training. The popularity of Prague’s zoo still rises. The second possibility is the new aqua park with swimming pools, toboggans, whirlpools or river with back flow. In addition, there is a massage and wellness centre with sauna to your disposal. The new aqua park is very nice place for enjoying the day with the whole family. Prague is an amazing city with a lot of opportunities what to do and you can never be bored there. See you in Prague!

To bilbao or not to bilbao means of transport is the question

This time of year Spain becomes a Mecca for British tourists trying to flee the country and get a tan, and whilst some football fans are currently postponing their holiday until after the world cup finishes, now is an ideal time to get away. Bilbao in the Northern region of the country is the political capital of the nationalistic Basque people who inhabit Spain’s three northern Euskadi provinces. While not being a traditionally beautiful city, its main strength is that it offers an easy gateway to the rest of the country, with access to many attractions within the surrounding countryside and along the coast of the Bay of Biscay. Bilbao itself is currently undergoing a programme of revitalization beginning with the opening of the controversial Guggenheim Museum in 1997, and visitors can easily experience some good beaches, cubs, bars and a few scenic spots. The regeneration of the city has also lead to the acquiring a new metro system and airport terminal which along with the port facilities help to make it a hub of activity. In addition to the Guggenheim, art lovers can also experience the Museo de Bellas Artes in the Plaza Museo, which houses some fantastic 12th through to 20th century works by Francis Bacon, Picasso, Gauguin, El Greco, Goya and Velazquez behind its unassuming faзade. For a cultural experience of the city, the Museu Vasco, housed in a 17th century Jesuit cloister in the heart of the old quarter is definitely worth a visit. To get to the city, most visitors will elect to fly to Bilbao ( britishairways/findaflight/europe/es/flights/to/bilbao. html ) with British Airways or use the regular cheap flight operators and start their holiday in Spain with as little fuss and as fast as possible. Catch a plane from the nearest airport and you can be touching down in Spain just three hours later. Others may choose to take a more leisurely trip with a mini cruise direct from the ferry operators or though a specialist short cruise ( superbreak/promo/pando. htm ) company like UK based Superbreak. For those who want to take their time, this option comes highly recommended as P&O in conjunction with the charity organization, Biscay Dolphin Research Programme, has set up a fantastic themed cruise from Portsmouth to Bilbao aboard the “Pride of Bilbao”, through one of the best localities in the world for dolphin and whale watching. Although swimming with the dolphins is not on the agenda, whale and dolphin lectures are provided for free, and identification information is available on the top viewing deck as well as in the front “Posh” bar. Here you can sit and see the sun set while watching dolphins leap out of the water towards the ship to bow ride and you enjoy a soulful piano bar atmosphere. However you decide to travel and whether you want culture or nightlife, you are sure to have a holiday experience you will want to remember for years.

    To timeshare or not

I am sure that you have been approached in the last year by someone trying to get you to purchase a timeshare ownership. This may have been a simple sales call promising a free weekend stay if you agreed to attend a 90 min. presentation during the three day weekend. It may have been more forward as you received an e-mail or phone-call attempting to sell you a week at some resort. So what should you do, listen to the marketing or listen to that little person inside you telling you it can't be that great of a deal. To make this decision it is important for you to analyze the type of travel you enjoy and undertake with your family. Do you as a family: Take Vacations every year at approx. the same time of year. Go to the same vacation spot year after year. Enjoy staying at extended stay Hotel style accomodations. Then the traditional timeshare is the perfect fit for you and your family. Proceed to any of the online sites and research the best value for a timeshare that you can find. Low price with Low flexibility is the perfect fit. Now what if I always enjoy: Different vacation spots every year. Taking my vacations at different times of year. Staying in quaint houses and Bed and Breakfast spots. Then the timeshare ownership is not for you. Now what happens if I fall somewhere between the two lists: I occassionally like to change up my vacation destination, but not every year I generally like to take one summer vacation a year and maybe a winter vacation. I prefer deluxe accomodations and also occassionally enjoy a little more intimate setting. Then you will either need to continue on your current course of action or be prepared to pay for one of the premium timesharespanies offering the Premium Services are Marriott, Hilton, and Disney. These companies offer flexibility with an extended network of timeshares and trade partners. You get premium trade value with any of their accounts. What is this trade value. Simply put, timeshare owners are teamed together and allowed to deposit vacation weeks in a bank for later use. The owners at a later time can request different resorts and different weeks from their originally scheduled week. So why was it said that certain resorts get premium trade value, do they not rate everybody the same? The answer to that question is no, in the area of timeshares not everyone is the same. If you own a Marriott, Hilton, or Disney week you get first options on any weeks in those chains. What does this mean, if you are a non-owner and are awaiting a week to come up at a Marriott for example and are next on the list for that resort. Naturally when the week comes open you should get it – first come first serve. Not so fast, a Marriott owner comes in and says that they want the same week as you. The Marriott owner gets the nod even though you have been on the list longer. Does not seem fair but it is the way of the timeshare companies. So what does this cost. The premium companies are going to cost you from 3x to 4x of the non-premium companies. For this added cost you gain flexibility and priority in trades. If moving is not important go with the cheaper vendors. If flexibility is needed go with one of the premium companies. Charles Cater

Today s timeshares provide flexibility and variety

Owning a timeshare used to mean traveling to the same resort, at the same time, year after year. No more! That concept of timeshare is now outdated. Thankfully, timeshares are increasingly more hip to the needs of today's customers, who want more flexibility and variety from their vacations. Whether you want to turn your vacation week into 2 or 3 trips, visit other resorts throughout the globe, go on boat cruises through the Caribbean or Alaska, take advantage of numerous vacation offerings or simply extend your vacation stay, today's timeshares can easily match your vacation style. Many properties provide these benefits, so we'd like to share some of this information with you. Please look it over. The more informed you become, the better your vacation! Whether you're a seasoned timeshare owner or a prospective first-time buyer, here's a smattering of the types of timeshare benefits you can discover: Vacation Points "Getaways" Fractional Timeshares Multiple Vacation Resorts Floating vs. Fixed Time Vacation Points--- Instead of offering fixed one-week vacation increments, points programs such as RCI Points provide members increased flexibility and diversity. With vacation points, members have the added freedom of reserving partial weeks into several two, three or four night increments at different resorts throughout the club's network. RCI's Points program gives members access to more than 3,700 resorts worldwide. The amount of points you use per vacation depends upon the resort, the size of the unit, the season and the number of nights you stay. Based upon the amount of points you own, you choose when you're going to travel, where you want to stay, how many rooms you'll need and for how long. Locations can be anywhere in the world from Egypt, Morocco, Brazil, Costa Rica, France and Israel or right at your own backdoor. Resorts also vary from Colorado's breathtaking mountain views to Florida's sandy beaches, and many more luxurious and exotic places. With points, the variety of your vacations is endless. You can even use RCI points on anything from airline tickets and rental cars to theme park admission. Getaways--- Maximize your vacations without even exchanging your existing timeshare weeks! Here's a nice feature of timeshare ownership! When you buy a resale timeshare you may already know that you're eligible to join exchange companies like RCI or Interval International (II), which allow you to deposit your home resort week for weeks at other resorts throughout the world. But did you know that these exchange companies also offer timeshare owners "getaway" deals throughout the year? You simply buy these getaways from the exchange companies without exchanging your week. If you're eager for some extra vacations, on a short-term notice, you might discover anything from a week at the Marriott's Grand Vista in Orlando for $199 to a three day getaway in the Poconos. II allows you to take up to 12 getaways a year and RCI has no limit. Fractional Timeshares --- Extend your stay in paradise! Sometimes it's possible to purchase 12 weeks at a particular resort. The quarter rotates from year to year. As an owner, you can stay longer at a place you love, rent out any surplus weeks, bank the extra weeks with an exchange company to use for stays at other resorts, or do a combination of them all. Multiple Vacation Resorts (Non-points)--- This type of ownership is like owning at 7 or more resorts and you can travel between them without the need of an exchange company! Or, if you like, you can use RCI or II and exchange to properties that aren't affiliated with your club! At any time, we have multiple vacation resorts within our inventory and each has its finer points. Perennial Vacation Club, or World Intl. Vacation Club are two such resorts. Floating vs. Fixed Time --- To float or not to float... For those of you who can't or won't plan ahead each year, float time makes sense, since you can choose from the dates available within a particular season. You're not locked into a particular week, so you simply call and make a reservation. As a fixed week owner, you won't need to request a reservation, since you already know exactly where your week falls on the calendar. Need to travel during a specific time? Fixed weeks are the way to go. And, if you can't travel during your fixed time, you can always exchange your week for a different time of year, but you'll have to pay an exchange fee. Trading your timeshare for comparable timeshares is a wonderful way to travel and see the world!

Gracias a algunas reglas y guнas en lнnea podrбs jugar y quien sabe ganar.
