4 Ways to build links to your site

If you want to driving traffic to your website, one of the most important SEO tactics is link building. Link building can help to increase your ranking on popular search engine like Google and Yahoo and can also help you to increase your amount of referral links to your site. There are a variety of different ways that you can build links to your site, but you want to make sure that you use the most effective methods possible. The following are four of the best ways to build links to your site. Online Directories One of the best ways that you can build links to your site is by using online directories. There are a variety of different directories that allow you to submit your site pages to them. Some directories may be free, while others will charge a fee to list your website on it. It is also important that you have your website listed in the right category as well so you will bring targeted traffic to your website. Press Releases Another great way to build links to your website is to submit press releases to the media about your website. You can use press releases to present great information about your site to the online world, and there are many free press release directories to choose from. You can also submit press releases to other press release directories for a small fee as well. This will help to drive more traffic to your site and will also provide you with even more referral links to your site as well. RSS Feeds You can also use RSS feeds as a great way to build links to your site as well. This allows you to have your content on other websites by using an RSS feed. You can have your RSS feeds appear on other sites that relate to your site so you can send targeted traffic to your site. This is also another great way of building links so that your site will rank better on the search engines. Related Websites Yet another great way to build links to your site is to get your site linked on another website. This is not also the easiest thing to accomplish, but sometimes you can find sites that are willing to do a link swap with you. A link swap allows you to put up someone else’s link on your site, and in return they will put up your link. This is an excellent way of building links if you can get other website owners to agree to it. Your ability to build quality links to your site can actually result in the success of your online business. Build a great deal of quality links to your site, and it will improve your search engine rank, which will in turn improve your business.

4 Ways to build lists for your internet marketing email home based business

While you may think that having your own website is all that’s essential if your home based business is to succeed, any successful Internet marketing email home based business needs another asset just as much. What is it? If you have a mailing list of people who have purchased a product or provided a response to one of your ads, with verifiable email addresses, you are in possession of something that will make you the envy of many Internet marketers. But it will take a while for you to build it. What are your best methods for getting a list big enough to set you up with a profitable Internet marketing email home based business? 1. Article Directories If you want to build a list of email addresses genuinely interested in whatever your home base business is selling, write, or pay to have written, articles on your product. Then submit hem to article directories, where you‘ll be given a resource box at the end of each article. Use the resource box to include a newsletter signup, and if your article were good, you’ll get the email addresses of readers who’d like to follow up. 2. Free Reports Most people can’t pass up a free offer related to something in which they are interested, so by writing and offering free reports about your products to those who join your mailing list you’ll be following in the footsteps of some very savvy Internet entrepreneurs. Just make sure the information in your free reports is current and accurate, because they may be the first impression you give to potential customers. You certainly don’t want them to be the last! 3. List Building Sites List building sites are matrix programs which require you to refer people to join after you. The referrals of your referrals become your second level referrals, and you can send your mails to them and everyone whom they refer. It’s typical matrix stuff, and works fine as long as you get in near the top and have referrals who are willing to share their lists of referrals. Listbandit has a twist in that every twenty-four hours it randomly flips the positioning in the matrix so that some days you have a lot of email addresses to which you can send your mailings, and other days you’re on the bottom of the list. You have to be prepared to do your mailings on the good days, and that’s not the most efficient way to promote a business! 4. Become a Blogger You almost have to have a blog if you want to succeed at marketing, because a blog gives you an opportunity to build real rapport with your prospective customers. You can place sign up forms for your free reports on each page of your blog, and if your readers are impressed with your blog’s contents, they will probably sign up to learn more. There are plenty of other ways to begin building a list for your Internet marketing email home based business, but whichever method you choose, it’s key to build trust with your customers by keeping their information private and by making sure that you give them quality information!

4 Ways to hide affiliate links

Affiliate link hijacking is a big problem, some people will change your affiliate URL to their own before purchasing a product so they themselves get paid the commission giving them a discounted product. This problem is far worse if you are promoting to the affiliate marketers crowd as they can spot an affiliate link from 100 yards away! They will just replace your affiliate ID with their own and "hijack" your commissions. Some people just simply hate the thought that you will make a commission from their purchase and will just cut off your affiliate ID at the end of the URL. If you don't take steps to try and hide your affiliate links from hijackers, then you will carry on losing commissions. Using a redirect php script This is an easy technique to implement, all you have to do is create a single php file that includes a small piece of code, so if you are trying to promote www-yourID. merchID. hop. clickbank-net then you way create a blank page called, say, discounts. php that just contains the redirect script, so the actual link you promote would be www-yoursite-com/discounts. Unfortunately this technique does have one drawback, some affiliate merchant links will still be visible in the browser address bar, it works great with clickbank products. Using. htaccess to hide links. This is works very much the same as the one above except you don't need to use any scripts, you just need to add a line of code to your. htaccess file. As with the redirect script above, just create a blank page and upload it to your server, then add the following line of code to your. htaccess file. Unfortunately this has the same drawbacks as the redirect script method, your affiliate link may still be visible on the merchants site in the browser address bar. Using a zero-frame to cloak links. This is the cloaking technique I use most often to hide affiliate links. Using this method makes it look as if you are sending people to a page on YOUR site, even your URL will be still be visible in the address bar unlike the above cloaking techniques, people will think they are still on your site but they are actually viewing the merchants site. You simply create a page as mentioned above and insert a few lines of code, I also add a title meta tag to fit the description of the product I'm selling. However, you MUST test your link before promoting it! This technique can effect the tracking on some sites, so make sure that you will be getting credit for all the traffic you send their way. How to hide links in a browser. This technique is used on your website so that when someone hovers over a link, they don't see the actual destination link in their browser status bar. So if your actual link was www-affiliateproduct-com/uglyaffiliatelink?123 they would only see yoursite in their browser. So there you have it, 4 easy ways to hide or cloak your affiliate links, using these techniques will certainly increase your sales and reduce link hijacking. If you aren't using any techniques to hide your affiliate links then I can guarantee that you are losing affiliate commissions! You must protect yourself from these hijackers, the harder you make it for people to recognise an affiliate link, the more commission you will make.

4 Ways to keep customers intersted with search engine marketing

Guidelines For Keeping Customers Interested In You Search engine marketing is a way for your company to draw and keep consumers interested in your products and / or services. By properly including these guidelines into your web design your market will respond. Appeal To Your Audience In regards to written information on your site you want to appeal to your audience. For example if your site is marketed towards kids you wouldn’t use large or complex words, or to the other extreme, if computer engineers are your targets, you want to write to their level. This will ensure that you draw the right audience and that your content relates to your market. This guideline is the most important and stressed topic for search engine marketing. If you do not design information and content to your targeted audience, surely there will be no success. Give A Reason To Act Once you have targeted your audience, give them a reason to act now instead of later. This can be done through offering free products or shipping with purchase or offering a newsletter subscription with frequent discounts and current information. With this type of search engine marketing you want to be sure your not overweighing incentives, meaning selling is the high point to marketing but it should not take over your entire site. Offer Competitive Advantages Do research and find out how your competitors are advertising on their sites. Use this to your advantage by finding what works and what doesn’t. This can go as far as web placement, design and content. Viewers are drawn more to pictures and art than they are text-links. Stay true to your brand while designing competitive and unique advertisements. Incorporate Keywords Keywords are important when consumers are searching search engines. Again do research and see what keywords are used for the best search results of your competitors. Write them down and apply them to your sites content and design. The more keywords that are placed throughout your site the more likely you are to gain higher search results. For further keyword optimization view my article The Simple Basics To Search Engine Optimization. When designing your site think simple and straightforward. No one likes to skim through endless text or be distracted by large advertisements. Appealing to your audience, giving them a reason, offering competitive advantages and incorporating keywords are all excellent guidelines to optimizing your market.

4 Ways to make sure the internet stays free

Internet access has always been the ultimate in democracy and freedom of speech and choice. You can use virtually any available application, equipment or service to gain access to almost any content. Bloggers have access to the same potential audience as the New York Times. Artists of all kinds have equal opportunities to find an audience based on their talent and drive; not on money or privilege. Two students in a dorm room with a good idea, a little ingenuity and some skill can create a multi-billion dollar company. And it gets better since every internet user is pretty much guaranteed access to any site they want, whenever they want it and at the fastest available speed. It doesn’t matter if you log on to Google or eBooks About Everything, the internet access is equal. In other words, the bandwidth available to me as a small business is exactly the same bandwidth available to a huge corporation. There are always those who are suspicious of freedom. People who want to control a good thing – for profit, for morality or just because they think they can. So it is not surprising that big telephone and cable companies (AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, Time Warner) have set their sites on controlling access to the internet and its content. These (and other) big companies lobby the Federal Government every day for control of internet access, speed and content. In essence they want to transform the freeway model of networking to a toll road version. They will magnanimously allow the government to collect part of the toll if they can control who gets to use the fast lanes. But some of us are fighting back. A large number of internet pioneers. industry leaders, bloggers and ordinary citizens believe the internet was created provide equal access and that the access should remain equal. We actually believe that the world does not need one more thing controlled by Government and/or Big Business! And because freedom of speech is still allowed a movement call Net Neutrality has sprung up. Net Neutrality simply means that internet access will always be free, fast and available. That innovation, not money or politics, will determine who succeeds in the market place of ideas and technology. To find out more, you can do a simple Google Search on “Net Neutrality” or a scan of Wikipedia. I promise you that you will get more information than you can absorb in one sitting. I love the fact that the internet is open, free and somewhat “wild”. I suppose it is the last vestige of my 60’s rebel persona. And as a former rebel, nothing makes me sit up and notice faster then when the government (or anyone else) wants to start controlling something. As we move into election season protecting our freedoms has become an increasingly important agenda for me. I have a few action items: • I will only vote for candidates who support Net Neutrality. • I am stepping up my writing/email campaign to my current representatives to tell them that Net Neutrality is vitally important to economic growth and development • I have joined Save the Net (savethenet. org) and Hands off the Internet (handsoff. org) • I will support these organizations with money and time Please join me in these doing these four simple things. One of the things I have learned over the years is the awesome power of fingers on keyboards. Enough of them pointed at a single target can change the world. That is democracy in action!

    5 1 2 Holiday retail tips

The customers are coming. Are you ready? If you operate a retail store, you have less than one month to make a big success of this holiday season. I'm sure you know how to run your store but I’d like to give you some tips to contribute to your success. 1. Few stores have enough staff working the floor. Schedule more staff than you need to work the registers and stock the floor. It's stupid to operate with only sufficient staff to ring up sales. The goal isn’t to get the customers out the door as quickly as possible. Shoppers at this time of year have no idea what they want and are highly suggestible. You should schedule enough staff to keep the lines short at the cash registers and have sales people circulating the store suggesting items to customers. The goal is to sell as much as possible. If everyone is ringing up sales, no one is selling. Adding staff to work with customers will produce more sales. Retail help is CHEAP. A floor person can generate at least $100 per hour. Don't be cheap, be smart. 2. Train your people. Retailers make the mistake of treating the holiday season as a "busy" time. It's not just a busy time. The rules of engagement are completely different in November and December than they are for a busy Saturday in August. First of all, people are not buying for themselves at this time of year as they are during most of the year. This changes the whole shopping dynamic because people know what they like for themselves but find it much harder to choose something for someone else. The customers need more assurance. They want to know that their selections are good ones. Teach your staff to help people shop for other people. NEVER ask, "can I help you?" Try this, "Hi, may I ask who are you shopping for? I might be able to suggest something great." Do you want to knock your customers over with great service? Ask them "Is there anything I can do to make your shopping easier?" Another big difference about this time of year is men will be shopping in stores or departments where they do not normally shop. Help them. Men are looking for a way to buy their way out of the season. There’s an old expression in retail that says women browse for a pair of pants and men hunt down a pair of pants. Lastly, budgets mean nothing in December. People who had carefully planned to spend $50 on mom will spend $100 to get mom checked off their list. 3. Keep the goods on the sales floor, not in the back room. The store’s shelves must be full. When the amount of goods on the shelves begins to thin, the available selection looks picked over. That's another reason to keep plenty of staff working. Small stores tend to stock and organize when things slow down. That's the Sears way of doing things. You want your store as nice and full as possible when the most people are shopping in your store. As obvious as that sounds, you'll seldom see it in practice. As soon as things slow down, around 9:00 p. m., everyone is folding sweaters and bringing out goods. Don’t bring carts on the floor during the busy time. But you can bring out goods in a constant flow of small boxes. When you bring a box out, watch the crowd flock to it. 4. Shock your customers with service. Offer to carry bags to their car. Offer separate receipts for each item. Sure, that's a pain for you but it's a wonderful service for the customer. Have envelopes handy and offer to put receipts in envelopes. You could run off some nice stickers for the envelopes saying something like, "gift receipts from Mandy's Boutique". Get a pile of $5 cards from the food court or a near by coffee shop. You can probably get a big discount from your own food court vendors. If a customer spends over a certain amount, give them a card and tell them to take a break on you. Don't advertise this. Just do it. Building goodwill through service is a lot cheaper than marking everything down 3 weeks before Christmas. Make it so fun to shop in your store your customers will tell their friends about you. Sell everything and you won’t have to take mark downs. 5. Offer gift boxes before the customer reaches the register. Show them a particular item in a box. You are selling convenience. Customers see your wonderful staff doing half of the project of wrapping their purchases. That’s much better than asking customers if they want some boxes at check-time and then just putting flat cardboard in their bags. If you don't have gift boxes, go get them, dummy! ANYTHING in a box will sell as you get closer to the end of the season. Display lots of items in boxes. Guys especially will appreciate seeing things boxed. It completes the picture. They see a robe hanging and think, "maybe she'll like that". They see a robe in a box and think, "I'm done shopping". You don't need to box everything in the store. You can box samples for display. Next to the hanging robes, put one in a box. Your staff can switch it for the customer’s correct size and color. That's a service, right? You should have a box for everything you sell. When people see a boxed item, they buy it. 5a. More about the box thing. If it's in a box, suggest it. When guy buys a robe, suggest a nice boxed pair of gloves. Add-ons are easy to sell when boxed. Go to Sears and look around. They put screwdrivers in boxes during the holidays. Sears gets that part of the season right. All 5 Ѕ of these items relate to giving good service. If you train your staff to provide extraordinary, remarkable, outstanding and incredible service, you won't be discounting your inventory as early as your competitors. Holiday shoppers want to finish their shopping, not to shop. Make it easy and fun to shop at your store and people will try to finish their shopping chore with you. Do not run out of boxes. That's inexcusable this time of year. Have a great season! Chris Reich, Author of TeachU's Business Talk Blog [email protected]

5 Aspects to help increase your website traffic

How do you generate higher website traffic is a question that is asked by hundreds of thousands of internet marketers around the world. Here are 5 ways that will help you generate more traffic without having to pay for any internet marketing. Worthy content The first thing you want to consider is if your content is worth the time for millions of people to read. Make sure that the content you present is clear and precise. Having content that is new and presents fresh ideas is far better than any internet marketing strategies. You want to give readers information they have not seen before and change the way they view things. Original content A majority of the content on the web is the same from website to website. If you truly want to set yourself apart from others and generate higher website traffic, give the readers something they haven’t read before. Presenting fresh content to the public is guaranteed to get them coming back. Once they read one post of yours that is new and intriguing, they will be more inclined to come back to see what you have to say the next week. Treat visitors as human beings Remember that your content is being read by real human beings. Developing a personal relationship means that you genuinely want to help every one of your readers and watch them succeed. Website marketing and other strategies to increase website traffic tend to be based towards computer numbers. If you can look past the fact that you’re writing and posting on a computer and see that you are changing and affecting the lives of millions around the world, this will set you apart from others. Link Exchange Link exchange is one of the most effective internet marketing strategies to generate more website traffic. This consists of you joining a link exchange program and surfing other peoples sites. As you arrange to exchange links with other companies, usually ones that are pursuing the same target audience, you can get your link posted on other peoples’ websites. This will get your website link on the web more, thus enhancing the chances of people seeing your link and clicking on it. E-mail and signatures Using the e-mail is a great way to generate higher website traffic in a couple different ways. Sending out e-mail newsletters to your targeted customers is very effective. Be short but concise when sending this out so that readers are not bombarded with information but get the gist of it. At the bottom of every e-mail you send, set up a signature file. This feature allows you to type in a brief message and statement to add to the bottom of every e-mail message. There are hundreds of methods you can use to generate higher website traffic. In the end, having a personal contact with readers and making them worthwhile will help build a relationship and in turn drive your traffic up.

5 Benefits of using feeds how feeds can help your e biz

What’s a Feed? Feeds are a way of sharing content. When you make material from your web site, like articles and blogs, available for publishing on other sites, you have to provide them with a code that lets them post those things. There are different kinds of code — XML, RSS, Atom, etc. — but essentially, they’re all just different ways of accessing a feed. According to Internet expert Sydney Johnston, of Auction-Genius-Course, “The great thing about a feed is everybody wins.” The article writer gains exposure, the reader learns about something valuable or interesting, and the online seller gets an endless source of pertinent content for their web site. What Can a Feed Do for My Online Business? Feeds are useful in a number of different ways: • They Eliminate Spam Filters. They’re 100% opt-in, so readers can subscribe and unsubscribe at will. Feeds are delivered directly to your subscribers, so you don’t have to contend with filters knocking you out of your customers' inboxes. • They Provide Free Content. One of the best ways to differentiate your site is with quality content. Supply readers with interesting material; educate them on topics relating to the product you’re selling. If you sell preschool toys, you may not want to study child development and write numerous articles on the subject — so find someone else who’s already done that and make their feed available to your customers. The constantly updating, applicable subject matter gives your visitors a reason to come back again and again. • They Can Improve Your Search Engine Rankings. In the past, search engines were unable to read feeds, but software is now available to translate them into live links the engines can see (check out CyberWS). Search engines love fresh, dynamic content, so feeds are ideal. They provide relevant information that updates automatically. Not only do your customers get the facts they’re looking for, but the search engines like your site and give it better positioning. • For Affiliate Marketers, They’re an Alternative to Banners. You not only give your customer valuable knowledge, but if they click through and purchase something, you get credit. And unlike with banners, you don’t look like you’re putting up junk ads or spam. • They Can Increase Your Traffic. Anything you write, you should make available as a feed. When other sites pick it up, it’s free advertising for you. All their traffic is able to click through the feed to your site, so you gain new potential customers you wouldn’t have otherwise. Feeds on any subject are easy to find. There’s a whole collection of search engines created just for feeds, like Plazoo and Feedster. Says Johnston, “The future of the Internet for entrepreneurs is feeds. If people don’t master them, they’re going to get left behind. Period.”

    5 Common blogging mistakes

It happens so often it's almost like clockwork. Business blogs are started with high hopes and then disillusion sets in when the results aren't what they hoped for. A lot of it has to do with these simple but common mistakes. Not Asking For Comments Bloggers always agonize over the lack of comments. But the problem is not that people don't read the blog or don't want to comment but the blogger hasn't given the opportunity for readers to comment. Just like asking for people to order a product, you've got to coax people to spend their 3 or 4 precious minutes to comment on your blog. Ask for opinions. People love giving it. Ask for reader's experiences, input or help to accomplish something. Ask people to suggest something to you e. g. You're getting incorporated, ask people for suggestions, tips and recommendations. Asking also tells people you're open to suggestions and alternative views, further improving the image people may have of you. Not Hosting On Their Own Domain Give thought into your blog. Don't just jump on the bandwagon. You need to figure out where it's taking you before you hop on for the ride. Like any web site you may build, think of your blog as a long term marketing communication channel. A Blogspot or Typepad URL is not only unprofessional, you don't own it. Nothing against these blogging services; they're excellent tools but for long term marketing purposes, go for your own domain. This way you control where you want to publish the blog to. Tomorrow, if you outgrow these services, you can easily export your blog to another tool, another host without losing too much established traffic. A domain is also easier for people to remember and easier for you to publicize. Not Maximizing Their Blog Content Many businesses quit blogging because they feel it's too much work. True, like everything else, you gotta work on a blog but you don't have to break your back over it. Sometimes you may have a paragraph here and there about a topic that just isn't big enough for an article. You know what? You're going to have many more of these impromptu thoughts and ideas – publish it to your blog. Later, you can come back and gather these paragraphs, compile them into a complete article or even a book. That's only one way of maximizing your work. Have you written articles in the past? How about e-courses, audio transcripts or books that aren't in publication anymore? Recycle. Break them up and post them on your blog. In fact, if you have lot's of this type of content, you can even get your assistant to post them for you. Publishing Too Often I know what you're thinking. This sounds like complete the opposite of everything you've ever learnt about blogging. Truth is, the blogging world changes. What works yesterday may not today. This is one of them. There are countless blogs already jostling with you for your reader's time. More are being started by the day. Who has the time to read so many blogs? It's come to a point people are forced to cherry pick the blogs they read. Even when they do read yours, you're not safe yet. If they can't keep up with your blogging pace, they'll drop you no matter how good your information is. Keep a balance. Feed information to your readers not dump a truckload on them. Every market is different. Some can tolerate higher number of posts a week, some can't. You should know your market and test accordingly. Falling For Short Term Methods Ah, this is my favorite. If you can have a favorite pet peeve that is. Every week, you hear about people dishing out the newest, coolest blogging tactic, best blogging tool that's sure to sky rocket your business to success or bull doze your way to the top search engine listings. Consider how any offer will help you advance your business two, five or tens years from now. Is it really in line with your marketing direction? If it isn't drop it. It also helps a lot if you can have a reliable source whom you can consult and help put things into perspective for you. One of the most powerful qualities of a blog has nothing to do with search engines, tagging or pinging. These things do have a place, but they aren't as powerful as the relationship opportunities between you and your customers. Although these mistakes are common, they are also very easily rectified and don't cost much money. All of these suggestions are born out of my own trial and error and they've worked out nicely. Try it yourself.

    5 Common web hosting mistakes

Mistakes aren't necessarily a bad thing, but if you can learn from other people's mistakes it can save you from having to deal with them yourself. When it comes to web hosting, there are basically two kinds of mistakes - technical and general business. Technical mistakes usually come up because of a misunderstanding of the internet and how it actually works. The first mistake many people make when creating a website is to cram as much information, photographs, images, etc. on each page as possible. This makes the site take longer to download, leading to many visitors just moving on and never actually looking at the site. It also makes it more difficult to find what they're looking for if the page is unorganized. Another common error is creating a web site that isn't search engine friendly. If the search engines can't determine what your site is about, they aren't going to be able to send you people who are searching for what you offer. A mistake that many people make when starting out is to choose a host solely based on price. This is obviously an important factor, especially in the beginning, but if you choose the cheapest host you may be limited in your scalability as the website grows in popularity and traffic. On the business side of things, the most common mistake is trying to be everything to everyone. You should have a plan for your website - a purpose for its existence - and build according to that plan. Choose your target market and stick with it. Advertise in places they would see. Market in ways that would be of interest to them. Resist the urge to branch out into other areas just because something catches your eye. A site that tries to do everything usually ends up achieving nothing. Another common business mistake is following the competition's lead. You'll obviously want to keep an eye on them to see what they're up to, but if you copy everything they do you'll always be one step behind. Use your creativity and come up with unique ways to stand out from the rest of the websites in your market.

5 Easy steps to make your website visitors buy

In his book "Practical Thinking", Dr. Edward de Bono talks about the basic thinking processes, how one understands, and the ways to be right or wrong in thinking. He said that the main purpose of thinking is not just to accumulate knowledge but to get enough knowledge in order to act on something. He also said that, in practice, the validity of an idea does not have any bearing in being right in thinking, for being right is a feeling, a belief that one is right during the time of thinking. To put this in practical use, you should write your ad copies so that your visitors will feel it is right to buy your products. Make them feel that it is their idea to make the purchase. By doing so, it will be easier for you to persuade these potential customers to hit that buy button. Here, then, are some ways to create that feeling of rightness in your readers: 1. Provide the benefits of your product. People usually buy because of the benefits, not because of the features of a product. They think, "How can this help me? What's in it for me?" By providing the benefits, you can show how your product can avoid pain. For example, you may say, "Never again be rejected when asking for a date." You can also show how your product can gain pleasure. An example, you can say, "Imagine yourself opening the doors of your dream home." 2. Use "goody-goody" words to build up the positive emotional reaction of your readers. Words such as honesty, freedom, dignity, love and dream, convey such emotions that your readers react positively to them. For example, you can say, "Financial freedom for you." Your visitor will then have the feeling that financial freedom is possible for them, and they may want to take a look at your product. 3. Use "bad" words to elicit the negative reaction. Using "bad" words, such as hate, weak, or debt convey the opposite. By using these words, you can heighten the negative feelings of your readers that they may see your product as a tool to avoid or end their pain. You can say, for example, "Don't you just hate your job?" 4. Assume your visitors will buy your product. A popular line in ad copies start with the words "Who wants to be the next". For example, by asking "Who wants to be the next millionaire?", you are assuming that by buying your product, your visitor will become a millionaire. You can also start your sales letter with the greeting, "Dear Future Millionaire". 5. Add a little humor in your sales letter. Humor can put people in a good mood, making them to agree with you and lower their resistance to buy. This can provide that little extra push needed to close a deal. Remember, make your readers feel that buying from you is a right decision they are about to do. Provide the benefits of your product, use words laden with emotions, and add a little humor in your ad copy. This way, you may see a drastic improvement in your sales conversion.

5 Essentials for a new home based online marketing business owner

Don’t be terrified by the following statistics: 1. 95% of network marketers never make it past the 1st year. 2. 3 out of 4 distributors quit within their first 90 days. This high percentage of failure applies to every aspect of human life – no more than 5% of human beings could achieve real success. The majority of the online business owners fail because they ignore or forget to lay a solid foundation. A house build on sand can never stand long. It is true that online business offers many advantages. There is no inventory expense, no worry about management and employee relationship, no hassle with payroll, refunds or product returns and no headache over 9 to 5 routine and work burnout. You are your own boss and you work at your favorite pace in the comfort of your own home. You can make a fortune over a shorter period of time once you are in the right track. However, as long as it’s defined as business, home based online marketing business can not go far beyond the basic requirements for a business. There is no shortcut in building up any business. How many beginners, blinded by the “get-rich-fast” schemes, were misled by the little work and 5 or 6 digit income promise that floods the internet business world? Just look at the fast-changing internet marketing business world, what are left behind are those products or services that sustains the basic demands of the market while the crazy money making Hypes vanish soon like bubbles. The following are 5 essential components to lay solid foundation and achieve success in your home business. 1. Do Your Homework. Before you plunge into any online business, do research on the programs and products available on the internet markets. Choose your niche market and product. Exam your attitude, availability and capability. Find something that you are really interested in, which will inspire you later when you feel discouraged. This mind-set period is extremely important, which is the first cornerstone to build your mansion of business. Your ability is what you are capable of doing, your motivation determines what you do and your attitude or your mind-set determines how well you do it. 2. Create Your Business Plan It would be much easier for any business to be on the right track with the guideline or roadmap of a business plan. Your business plan defines your target audience, your budget and advertising, the ways to reach your prospects and build up your opt-in lists and strategies to turn your prospects into customers. It guides you to attain your short and long term goals. Give yourself at least 3 to 6 months to learn the basics of your business. 3. Select Carefully Your Sponsor and Program Like any business, online marketing business has its unique marketing tools and strategies. As a beginner, you must learn how to use these tools and where to find the marketing strategies. Finding the sponsor/program that can teach you these secrets makes the difference between success and failure. Choose the business model with proven records of success and the one who can provide you with detailed and systematical training after you sign up. “Opportunity dances with those already on the dance floor.” The value of a right program and guiding sponsor is priceless, which means half success of your future business. 4. Duplicate What You Have Learned Once you find the sponsor/program that works for you, follow orders and repeat what your sponsor has done to make his/her business successful. Apply the principles and rules you are taught. Nothing but action brings your business to a new stage. After you have commended these strategies and mastered the secret weapons, you can start your own program or other programs by duplicating what you have learned during this apprenticeship. You business grow s in the process of your learning and taking actions. 5. Be Persistent No one can run before learning to walk. The above four essentials are the basic steps to build up your business. As far as your final success is concerned, perseverance counts. Always remember: “Genius is 1 percent inspiration, 99 percent perspiration.” – Thomas Edison. Focus and patience help you win the race.

5 Factors of effective wordpress themes

If you're blogging on the Wordpress platform, I'll bet my entire life savings that the first thing you ever did was try to install a new Wordpress theme. I'll bet my future earnings that even today you're still occasionally changing themes and wasting a lot of time doing minor modifications that when summed up merely distracts you from blogging itself. Yet, it's easy to understand why themes beg for so much attention. With the correct theme, you can accommodate all the nifty little widgets and codes, and may also mean better search engine rankings and tons of fresh traffic every day. So what factors do you need to consider to make this whole theme-hunting business easier? Here are five important ones: 1) Theme Width and Columns Typically, Wordpress themes come in 2-column or 3-column formats, with widths ranging from 500 pixels to 960 pixels wide. If you're blogging for non-profit purposes, a 2-column theme can look more compact and reader-friendly. Since you have less images of products or links to other sites to display, you can focus exclusively on the content without leading readers away from your site. On the other hand, if you're blogging for profit, you may want to consider a 3-column Wordpress theme that will be able to accommodate your Google Adsense, Chitika and Text Link Ads codes comfortably without squeezing everything in the content area. 3-column themes allow room for expansion, but in the event that you've filled up all available space with ads, then it's time you removed the non-performers and use only the advertising services that work for that particular blog. 2) Use of Images and Icons A theme with images and icons can look good, but it rarely increases your web traffic or subscriber base. In fact, most "A-list" bloggers have plain vanilla themes with a simple logo on top. Reducing the amount of images also means faster loading time and less stress on your servers. This vital aspect of server load become apparent only if you have tens of thousands of visitors a day, but it's worth designing for the future. A image-laden theme also distracts readers from the content itself. This is the reason why blogs like Engadget and Tech Crunch use images intensively in the content areas to add value to a post, but the theme itself is simple and rather minimalist. Ideally, a theme should allow you to use your own header image for stronger branding purposes, yet replace images and icons with links and text, or just not use them at all unless absolutely necessary. 3) Compatibility with Plugins Another time-sucking activity is installing plugins that improve the functionality of your site. There's a plugin out there for almost everything you want to do with your blog, but while most of them are free and easily obtainable, it's not always easy to install the plugins and insert the codes into your Wordpress theme. If your theme is too complicated, it may be a headache to even insert that one line of code you need to make a plugin work. This is often the case with advanced AJAX-based Wordpress themes that have too many files and heavy coding. I've always preferred a simpler themes that stick to the default Wordpress theme as much as possible, so I can cut back on the learning curve and just get on with my life. Remember that the purpose of your blog is to deliver timely, relevant content to your readers, Any theme that preserves or improves the reader experience is good, any theme that subtracts from the experience is bad. 4) Search Engine Optimization A lot can be said about search engine optimization, but at the end of the day if you have content worth reading eventually you'll get the rankings you deserve. However, that doesn't mean that you don't need SEO; it merely means that as far as optimization is concerned all you really need to do is to make sure: (a) Your tags are formatted properly, with the name of the post first followed by the name of the blog - some themes can do this automatically without modification to the code or use of a plugin (b) All your blog content titles use the H1 tag, with the main keywords used instead of non-descriptive text for better SEO relevance (b) Your theme has clean source codes, and if possible all formatting is linked to an external CSS file which you can edit independently 5) Plug-And-Play Ease of Use Can the theme be installed easily on an existing blog without having to move things around? Can the same theme be used and customized easily on your other blogs? These are some additional things you may want to consider when theme-shopping, especially if every minute of downtime on your blog may mean lost revenue. While it's hard to make comparisons due to the sheer amount of free and paid themes out there, it's still a good idea to have a test blog site. Test any theme you plan on using, and make sure your test blog is also fitted with all the plugins and miscellaneous widgets used on your real blog. The last thing you want is for your readers start seeing weird error messages on your blog. At the end of the day, a theme is just a theme. Instead of spending your time installing them, it may be wiser to outsource the task and focus more on your readers. Alternatively, you may also want to consider buying "plug-and-play" themes for a reasonable price. Dennis De' Bernardy of ProWordpress has probably one of the best themes around, but if you're short on cash there are certainly cheaper alternatives.

5 Important tips to working at home

If you have chosen a career path that leads you directly to your own front door, then you are not alone. In fact, many people work at home and earn a full-time income, which allows them to keep a close eye on their children, create flexible schedules and save significantly on the cost of commuting. Whether you’re a veteran home worker or you are just starting out, keep the following tips in mind to help turn your job into a career: Define a space for your office. When you work at home, a room that’s free from distraction is a must. You may choose to convert one of your bedrooms into a home office or you may have a library that will serve as the perfect place to set up a quiet work area. Whatever your preference, it’s important to define your office space as one that’s not located in a high traffic location of the house. Promote your business. As someone who works at home, you may be operating on a limited budget in the beginning. Whether your funds are tight or you simply believe in stretching your dollar, try your hand at free publicity. You can promote your business with press releases distributed online, to magazines and local newspapers. In addition, you may also be able to snag some airtime on the radio if you agree to an interview and your business is one of interest to the general public. Make a schedule and stick to it. Just because you work at home doesn’t mean that you cannot separate the two. Believe it or not, you can still divide your home and work life even when the two are located in the same space. In fact, it’s extremely important that you learn to do this in order to avoid the feeling of always being at work. You can help to make this possible by setting a schedule and sticking to it. First, decide whether you wish to work part-time or full-time and then figure out the hours that are most convenient for you. If you develop a ‘whenever’ schedule, you may find yourself feeling torn between something that you need to do and something that you want to do. By having defined work hours, you will know when you are free for leisure and, best of all, you will have the time to enjoy it. Keep accurate records. For tax purposes, it’s important that you keep all receipts for business transactions. This includes purchases of office equipment and furniture, supplies and accessories. If you have trouble keeping up with all of your receipts, store them in your office in a box with the word ‘receipts’ written in clear view for easy access. Purchase individual health insurance. If you are self-employed, it’s up to you to purchase your own health insurance plan. While many people who work for an employer have this benefit provided to them as part of their employment package, you will be faced with having to search for coverage on your own. The good news is that health insurance for self-employed individuals is not difficult to find. In fact, many major insurance companies offer this type of coverage and can provide a quote via the telephone. 5 Key strategies to juggling work and family... with ease

Are you a woman business owner struggling with the juggling? You’re committed to running a successful business while also needing to manage your family life. It can begin to feel like one long marathon, day after day. It can be absolutely exhausting! Bet you’re ready to take a new approach. Are you ready to juggle work and family with ease? Most women feel that one often overshadows the other (depending on the day and the deadline) and never seem to come to a place where they are comfortably managing both work and family. In this article you’ll find five key strategies to be an expert juggler. You can run a successful, profitable business that makes a difference in the world while also creating a loving, joyful family life that thrives. Let’s look at five powerful strategies: 1. Articulate “Who You Want to Be” Each Day It’s important to articulate who you want to be (i. e. calm, patient, kind, loving) each day so you can frame your actions and words within that context. If you want to be more patient, for example, allow yourself to bring patience into every interaction in your business as well as into your communications with your family. By seamlessly integrating “who” you are in each environment, you’ll begin to feel better and experience more ease. 2. Clarify Your Work and Family Vision With a clear vision, you can take clear action as you juggle your activities throughout the day. Begin by writing down your top three business goals and your top three family goals (they may be weekly, monthly or even annual). Give yourself time to clearly articulate your vision and create an action plan. Without this vision, you may feel as if you are running a race that has no end. 3. Know Your “High Impact Activities” Review your vision and identify the high-impact activities for yourself (i. e. those actions that will bring the greatest results and place you closer to your goals). When you determine these, you gain a greater level of discernment about how to spend your time and energy. You can then “outsource” or eliminate the things that won’t produce results that are consistent with your vision(s). 4. Identify the Top Three Things to Complete Each Day Choose the top three things you want to fully complete each day. Most people feel stress as they juggle work and family because so many things are incomplete. I want to challenge you to pick three juicy actions every day for both your business and family (six total) and complete them with vigor! When you do, you’ll feel a deep sense of ease and satisfaction. 5. Enlist the Help of Others (Colleagues, Assistants and Family) Women often tend to feel they must complete everything on their own. It’s simply not realistic. Look for new ways to save time, money and energy by enlisting the help of others. It may be a friend, colleague or family member. A mentor once said to me, “When you tell someone where you are trying to go, they’ll help you get there.” Allow others to help you meet your goals. With this support, you’ll naturally create more ease for yourself. Fiona, a gourmet foods entrepreneur in Australasia and the US, recently applied these powerful strategies during our 12-Week Work With Ease™ for Small Businesses program and was amazed at the results. She decided she was going to approach both her business and her family in a very different way. Within one month of establishing her “who to be,” vision and high-leverage activities, she was on the road to more ease. She felt clear, focused and ready to grow her business to the next level. I wish you well as you begin to look for ways to juggle work and family with more ease. May you know joy, may you know peace and may you work with ease.
