The challenges we face as internet marketers

Copyright 2006 llbglobal The one thing all of use in these communities have in common is the drive, passion, and desire to do something better for our families and ourselves. We all try to think outside of the box. If you are anything like me, then you surely are not satisfied with a meager lifestyle, a dead end job, or settling for less when you know you can have more. It is our desires that keep us motivated, intrigued, and full of inspiration and hope. Recently someone told me “Oh I’m not into that new age stuff”. I simply replied “What new age stuff”? The principals of success are not something new or just discovered. These principals have been around forever. Just because you may be new to these concepts does not mean that the concepts themselves are new. As an Internet Marketer we start out seeking the knowledge and know-how to achieve success. Some of us get sidetracked because we are tossed into a whirlwind of product promotions, Advertisements, and other distractions. It can be difficult deciding which program will work best for me. Which ebook will tell me what I need to know? We may try some of these things and then we are left with more questions. The biggest challenge really isn’t about finding the right ebook or program, it’s about finding yourself. Who you are and what you want out of life. You can shrug your shoulders and say to yourself, this guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. But if you haven’t been successful yet then you may want to analyze yourself before judging others. Success doesn’t come easy for most people. The reason is because we resist it in our minds even when we think we are headed in the right direction. Becoming successful in business has to start with becoming successful in life. Are you doing the things you know you should be doing? Are you focused on what you really want? We all have a million great ideas bouncing around in our heads but no way to express them. We look and look for solutions but in the end we are disappointed at the outcome. Part of the reason for this disappointment is the fact that we do not take the time to plan. Too many people are looking for the grand slam home run that will make them an overnight millionaire. The truth is that it doesn’t happen like that. We all see and hear stories of overnight success and they do happen but you may as well bank on winning the lottery because the odds are probably better. Success comes from planning and preparation. It comes from having a vision with the right mindset to act and accomplish the goals you set out to achieve. It comes from believing in yourself and your ideas. Never wavering in your times of despair. Never accepting anything less that your dreams being fulfilled. For some of use this comes easy and for others it takes a bit of work. Only you can create your own success. You will not find it in a book, a program or anywhere else. That is not to say that we do not still need to educate ourselves because we certainly do. Have you ever heard the phrase “Business smarts”? That’s what you have to have. You have to be smart and act smart. You have to analyze each situation to assess its perceived value to you. You have to find a way to convince yourself that you are successful even before you really are. You must act the part. You must see yourself in those shoes. Stop yourself for a moment and start observing the world around you. Learn to concentrate on what you want to achieve. Learn as much as you can and store the information in your memory. Remember to be a person of reason, a person of a giving nature, and a person of character. Lastly, Everything you think about requires action. It is through your actions that you will start to see your own progress. Stop worrying about what everyone else is doing and do for yourself! Stop worrying about how to achieve your goals and focus on “KNOWING” that you will see them to fruition.

The chicken or the egg and the internet marketer or site designer

An age-old question is, “Which came first? The Chicken or the Egg?” In ecommerce, the same question can be applied to site designers and Internet marketers. Before we settle the answer, we need a few parameters. For purposes of this discussion, a marketer is some formulating and creating Internet marketing strategies and campaigns. This includes search engine optimization. In using the term “designer”, we are throwing a bigger net to include programmers and people writing html. Introducing the Designer After deciding to start a site, most businesses will hire a designer or design team as one of the first steps. Intellectually, this makes sense. We need a site, thus, we need someone to build it. Introducing the Marketer After a lot of time and money has been spent on the design of the site, the first thought is given to marketing. Books are purchased, online articles such as this are read. PPC is often discovered and, typically, the business decides this looks easy and starts pursuing campaigns. The site starts making sales, but at a loss or a rate that can’t be increased despite a variety of tips. Frustration sets in and professional Internet marketers come on the seen. At this point, things start to get very ugly. The business interviews a number of marketing professionals. All of them offer services, but on the condition major and expensive changes be made to the site. At this point, the business owner decides one of two things, the marketers are wrong or the designer is incompetent. Both views are wrong. Holding Hands Which came first? The marketer or the designer? Neither! An effective site design combines the practical needs of the design team and marketer. While a designer will create a database to facilitate the showing of products, the marketer will want the designer to keep database parameters out of the sub-domain URLs. Other issues that must be jointly addressed include meta content, load times, abandonment issues and landing pages. Both design and marketing have to be addressed at the outset of the creation of a site. There is simply no other way to approach an overall e-commerce effort.

The concepts and history of timeshare

The multiple ownership of individual weeks brought with it the guarantee of reservations for those who wanted to ski in the area. It was an immediate success. By the 1970's some faltering condominium projects in St. Thomas, Fort Lauderdale and Puerto Rico were converted over to vacation ownership and thereafter timesharing became a viable vacation alternative. Once the concept of vacation ownership was embraced by the United States it began to gain wide acceptance by the public. Sales jumped to over 50 million by the mid 1970's and has climbed to more than 2 billion annually today. Vacation ownership has enjoyed substantial growth over the years with approximately 3.3 million timeshares sold since 1980. Currently there are over 5,000 vacation ownership resorts in over 75 countries around the world. Exchanging a vacation ownership week in one resort for that of another resort was introduced in 1974 and thereafter timesharing offered variety and flexibility in the vacation experience. Although there are many exchange companies available which provide excellent service, the two major forces are Resort Condominiums International (RCI) which has approximately 3,250 member resorts and Interval International (II) with approximately 1,600 member resortsbined, these two companies provided over 1,600,000 exchanges last year. During a 30 year span, the industry has grown from small (15-20 unit ) hotel conversions to the high quality condominium resorts of today. The evolution of the industry from scattered entrepreneurs to well managed professional development companies has brought with it a noticeable change for the better. Definitive leaders have emerged and created standards and ethics for management, marketing and sales practices. One such organization is the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) who's members are required to comply with the established "Code of Ethics." The recent entrance into the marketplace by major hospitality chains such as Disney, Hilton, Ramada, and Marriott has greatly enhanced the quality and image of the industry. Vacation ownership resorts of today are luxurious, spacious and well located. By the advent of these stronger and more professional development and management companies along with the weeding out the less desirable developers and marketers, the industry is experiencing a noticeable swing from a historically negative to a very positive public image. One of the industry's leading analysts (Ragatz and Associates) concluded that the majority of timeshare owners are very satisfied with their purchase and in fact, many own multiple weeks. The future of vacation ownership is very optimistic and has tremendous potential. What Is Vacation Ownership ? Vacation Ownership "Timesharing" is the right to use specific weeks of a resort during a specific time period. Simply put, it is the pre-purchase of a vacation. It is important to understand that vacation ownership is a commodity which is purchased to be enjoyed and used over the years. One should never purchase a timeshare with the intent of reselling it for a profit. Vacations are holidays for which we spend money to relax and rejuvenate; they are not investments. Ownership of a timeshare is very similar to ownership of a condominium except that your rights are limited to a certain week during the year. The form of ownership can be Deeded, Leased or a License. The License is somewhat different in that it is most commonly a membership in a club. Providing you are a member in good standing, you have the right to use the club and all it's amenities. Be sure to read and understand all the terms and conditions of your club membership before you make the decision to buy. Most vacation ownership consists of either a deeded interest or a leased interest for a specific number of years. A Deeded interest is owned outright forever. It an absolute right which can be sold, leased, or even willed to your heirs. Most timeshares which exist today are deeded ownership. The Leased interest is much like an apartment lease except right to use it is restricted to a specific week during the year. Upon the expiration of the lease term your right to use will generally terminate and return to the resort. With a leased interest you should know the terms and conditions of the lease prior to making the decision to buy. The time of your use can be either Fixed or Floating. Fixed time is a specific week during the year usually defined by a number. Generally the week will begin on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday and is given a number starting with the first week in January an run through the end of December. (Example - week 14 might be April 7 through April 13.) Floating time means you have the right to select any available week within a certain season of the year. Therefore, if you own a summer season week you could pick any week which falls within the defined summer months. However, competition between existing owners for prime weeks in very desirable location can impact availability. It is important to find which type of use best fits your specific travel needs. Each resort is different and you should ask if there are other benefits which are available to its owners. Many resorts offer special reduced rental rates for extra nights or us of other resorts which are owned by the developer. This can add to you flexibility and provide substantial saving on vacation costs. Additionally, consider carefully how and where you normally vacation. This is very important in making your decision about where you should buy and what you will be trading. Important Facts About Vacation Ownership - Timeshare is one of the fastest growing areas of the travel and tourism industry. - Timeshare owners live in more than 200 countries around the world. - Major brands now involved in timeshare internationally include Hilton, Hyatt, Four Seasons, Sheraton, Ramada and De Vere. - On a worldwide basis, more than 12 million people took a timeshare vacation in 1999 - There are around 5,500 timeshare resorts throughout the world in more than 90 countries. - The industry is worth in excess of $6 billion annually. The top 10 timeshare companies alone reported combined sales in excess of $2.64 billion in 1999. - During 1999 each of the top 10 performing timeshare companies worldwide recorded sales in excess of $100 million. - RCI, the world's leading timeshare exchange organization, arranged vacations for seven million people worldwide in 2000, making it one of the world's largest travel companies. Timeshare Today And In The Future The modern timeshare industry continues to expand at a rapid rate, with new markets opening up in Asia and Eastern Europe and consolidation prevalent in the established markets of Western Europe and North America. Firmly established as a key sector of the mainstream vacation market, the multi-billion dollar timeshare industry now embraces modest entrepreneurs and mighty corporations. Its global reach with close to 6,000 resorts in more than 90 countries extends from Spain to China, Mexico to South Africa. Some of the world's biggest names in the hospitality and leisure sector now have timeshare interests - Hilton, Sheraton, Disney, Ramada, Four Seasons, Hyatt, Westin, Ritz-Carlton and Radisson. At the same time, the list of well-known European companies with timeshare interests continues to grow - RIU Hotels (50% owned by TUI - Touristik Union International, Europe's largest tour operator), Sol Melia, De Vere, Macdonald Hotels in partnership with Barratts (the UK's Number One house builder), Mondi Ferienclub in Germany. Quality developments around the world are enjoyed by millions of owners, their families and friends, making the phenomenon of timeshare a success story without equal. In 1999 over 12 million people took a timeshare vacation. Timeshare owners come from over 190 countries but more of them live in the United States than anywhere else in the world - 47%! In fact the US has the lion's share of timeshare resorts - over 1,500. And that accounts for more than 37% of the total worldwide. In the western world, timeshare is now a highly organized and regulated industry. Trade bodies such as the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) and the Organisation for Timeshare in Europe (OTE) work to apply codes of conduct and ensure that expansion is based on sound commercial practice and ethical standards. There is also considerable regional, national and international legislation in place which aims to help protect the rights of potential purchasers and discourage the use of high-pressure sales tactics. Timeshare in the future The worldwide timeshare industry looks set to grow in popularity and log record sales in the months and years ahead. Social trends mean more people have more time and money to devote to travel and the concept of vacation ownership. In many parts of the world, regulation has given timeshare a firm footing, helping to reassure and protect purchasers with a series of consumer protection measures. Since its inception, timeshare has undergone a metamorphosis, according to Timeshare: Coming of Age, an independent report published in October, 1999. With the advent of the points-based system, the original real estate concept has been transformed into "a flexible, pre-paid vacation membership concept, placing timeshare where it belongs - in the mainstream of travel, tourism, hospitality and leisure". In 10 years time who knows where the next development will be?

The difference between autoresponder programs and autoresponder services

Many newcomers to the Internet marketing arena are not aware that there is a vast difference between an autoresponder program and an autoresponder service. Not knowing the difference, they often purchase the wrong type of autoresponder, and find out too late that they have wasted money on a program that is useless to them. An autoresponder program is a program that is set up on your web server. This is usually a free autoresponder that comes with your web hosting account. Many people don’t like to use autoresponder services; so instead, they use an autoresponder program that they have more control over. Some of those people don’t like the autoresponder programs that come with their hosting accounts either and purchase autoresponder programs or scripts that must be installed on their web server. Other people are quite happy with using an autoresponder service. This is a service that is usually paid for on a monthly or yearly basis. The fees are ongoing, and everything is browser based. In other words, you can set up your autoresponder messages and manage your opt-in list through your web browser – just as you can with an autoresponder program that is installed through your web hosting account. The difference is that the service runs on the autoresponder service’s web server – not yours or your web hosts. Beginners are usually better off using an autoresponder service. These services are very easy to understand and to use, and no technical knowledge is needed to set things up. As a newcomer to the field, however, you might be concerned about the costs of an autoresponder service. If this is the case, you have the option of signing up with a free autoresponder service. Free services make their money by placing advertisements in each autoresponder message that you send out. Sometimes these ads appear at the top of your messages, and sometimes they appear at the bottom. Some of the free services are simply an enticement to purchase the professional version, and have many of the more advanced features, such as tracking, disabled. More advanced users often choose to use autoresponder programs, simply because they have more control over the autoresponder, and they don’t have to follow some of the stiffer rules imposed by autoresponder services, such as sending confirmation to each and every person who is entered into the autoresponders list. The autoresponder that you choose is strictly up to you, but in most cases, an autoresponder service should suit your needs. If you are unsure, look for a service that offers free signups, with the option of upgrading to the professional paid version at a later date.

The ebay ebook market is dead are you kidding me

Copyright 2006 John Thornhill “The eBay eBook market is dead, flooded, useless and a waste of time.” I am a little tired of reading those comments in various forums and message boards. In my opinion the eBay eBook market has never been better, that is if you know how to use eBay to your advantage. You may/may not know this but eBooks are probably the easiest way to make money on eBay as everything can be fully automated. I am a fan of eBooks with resale rights simply for their viral nature. As other eBay members sell my products they are advertising my services. About 90% of all my website traffic comes from eBooks I have written myself. The eBay eBook market is crying out for new material, so give them some, give them an eBook you have written yourself and grant master resale rights and let everyone fight over one another to sell it, let them sell it for 1 cent as they battle for feedback. Who cares, as long as the eBook you have provided was created by you and benefits you long term. Allow your eBooks to be copied and redistributed freely on eBay and they will spread like a virus across the Internet, each one of them a homing beacon leading the way back to your eBay store/website so the whole viral process can start again. You can also generate a very generous affiliate income by granting resale rights to your eBooks, simply include relevant affiliate links in the form of recommendations and you will see your affiliate income rocket. Do you have a high priced product for sale? You do! Well why not provide a taster in the form of an eBook then provide the solution in your high priced item. If you don’t have your own high priced product to promote consider clickbank products as an alternative. If you grant resale rights you need to make it as easy as possible for the eBook to be re-sold, first of all a short statement at the start of your eBook explaining the eBook can be resold is essential, simply explain your eBook can be resold as long as it is not modified. Also provide all the tools necessary to enable your eBook to be re-sold, include multiple book covers, graphics and a sales page. The easier you make it to re-sell the eBook the more chance you will have of it going viral. Creating your own eBook is not an easy task. There is research, writing, compiling and a variety of other skills and time-consuming measures involved. It is also not necessarily a perfect fit for every eBook seller on eBay. Some sellers are not interested in writing or simply do not have the skills required to create their own eBook. If this is the case you may want to consider hiring a freelance writer or ghostwriter to produce an eBook or to pursue different avenues within the eBay eBook selling marketplace. Also, private label content is a good option. However, if you have the skill to produce, or the willingness to create a unique eBook you can profit tremendously. Selling eBooks to which you and others have resale rights to can be profitable, but exclusive ownership of your own title with links to your products and services gives you a massive advantage over your eBay competitors.

The facts you should know about internet marketing

I wakeup this morning and see my lovely wife. She was sleeping and looking like angel. I thought probably I am the luckiest guy in the world. I have a gorgeous wife, a cute doll (my daughter). I have money and time to enjoy life, and I dont need to worry about my future. Suddenly I remember those days when I started Internet marketing. I can't forget those worst days when I used to work 16 hours a day. I come from my JOB (Just Over Broke) and started working on my computer till 4.00 o'clock in morning. I had dark circle under my eyes. I had no time for friends, family and even for my love. I did every thing I read and almost exhausted my Credit Card but I couldn't make money. It happens with almost every newbie's. So the question here “what is the secret of Success in Internet marketing”? The answer is your own OPT-IN LIST and Targeted visitors on your website. OPT-IN LIST: Youve probably heard about “The List” many times. This is the only fact that there is nothing more valuable in your online business than your email list. EVERYTHING you do online should grow your list, even if it's one person at a time. Think about it... if you've got a list, you can send valuable content, and then create lots of product offers as time goes on. But if you DON'T have a list... it doesn't matter how many offers you create, because NOBODY will see them. A Proven Fact: A very crucial element of online marketing is a proven fact that people are likely to do business with those they trust. Initially its hard to find JV Partners especially big names because nobody knows you so start with smaller marketers. Don't forget to keep a list of everybody you have had a successful JV with. They know you and they like to work with you in the future. 02. Write Articles and submit to article directories: Writing articles and submit to article directories is another great method to attract tons of visitors. It takes little time and builds your credibility all over the web. It improves your sites search engine ranking because of link back to your site. 03. How to get a flood of Targeted Visitors to Your Website and build your own opt-in Subscriber List... At NO COST!! umtezine/atf/aatf. htm Free Rebrand and Redistribution Rights Included. ----------------------------------------------------------- Some Hype you should avoid: A. Guaranteed 10000 Visitors for $…. You have seen it every where on net. When you buy a package you will come to know that you haven't made a single sale by the time the package runs out. The reason behind it is that they show your site in a small pop-up window and pop-ups are not much effective. The other reason is your site shown in front of untargeted people who are not interested in your product. B. Blast your ad to over 10 million sites…. There was a time when it really worked but its no longer true. There are so many automatic submitters these days and there's very little chance anyone will ever see your ads. C. Send your ad to 10million email address…. This type of Marketing Are Now Considered SPAM! And if you are reported for SPAM, you can lose your ISP, website, e-mail account, and much more! D. Guaranteed Search engine ranking…. Top placement on search engines is a hard task and requires lots of money and time. There are millions of websites across the internet and everyone wants a top search engine ranking. If you are not in Top 20 for your keyword you'll not be getting many visitors. E. Just Push one Button and get 1000 visitors a day type Software…. Internet is filled with this hype “Targeted traffic at the push of a button”. They show your site at autosurf traffic exchange programs where everybody uses this type of software to gain credits and nobody actually sees your site. ----------------------------------------------------------- Copyright 2005 Raamakant S.

The first commandment of internet marketing

Autoresponders are one of my favorites tools. I used to do business in the traditional word( I owned a pizzeria, for delivery only, like pizza hut department, but much butter than pizza hut in France), and the process of delivery, was after the preparation itself, the core of the business. But that was to much work to handle for a single man, so I had a team ready to deliver at anytime. Why I love so much auto responders? Your business is on autopilot. Once averything is setup properly, you can forget it, and focus on a second business. Will call that: Set and Forget technology. What I have learned from one of my teachers in Internet Marketing is that you definitively need an autoresponder if you want to success in internet business. You don' t know what is an auto responder? Aren't you tired of taking the time to manually follow up with every single one of your potential customers? Keeping track of names, e-mail addresses, and what marketing information you've sent to which lead is exhausting, isn't it? Here it is: The Auto responder does all of that "cyber-paperwork" for you. You simply set the system up, and it runs completely independently: Your leads ask you for information through a form on your web site or an email response to your ad, and your auto responder at any time of day or night, and the send this information to them - immediately. You can even set the system up to address each of your leads by name. Also, date variables mean you can offer each new lead a time sensitive offer. It has been proven that a prospect must see your marketing message at least 7 times before deciding to buy from you. But, contacting every single one of your leads manually at least 7 times, gets very complicated. The process will soon take hours - even days! So you understand now what is your benefit with that utility? -You put your business on autopilot, and increase your sales by 400%! -You spend more time with your family. -You save time, reduce stress, build customer loyalty, increase conversion ratios, and make more money. - and many more You will find different autoresponders programs on the web: some are free, but you are able to upgrade to a paid member later. For instance, you will find: Free Autoresponder services that offers unlimited Autoresponders, no maximum mail lengths, but they ad a small ad at the top of your message, all that can be removed if you upgrade, with amazing features. Also: Paid Autoresponder with templates for your newsletter, training video...you can try it for free the first month in some cases. If for any reason you are not satisfied you will get a refund. And you will also find some autoresponders which work as ad exchanges for their suscribers these are free Autoresponder with an interesting twist, as it works like an exchange service:At the top of your message, there is a little advertisement, and in turn, your advertisement will appear at the top of messages send out by the other subscribers.

    The first social commerce network

Social networking sites such as YouTube™, FaceBook™, and MySpace™ have not only been a boon to makers of funny videos – they have become a tool for savvy online marketers to sell their wares. Everything from music to used cars is sold via online videos. However, many companies are finding a problem with these sites – the free access to everyone creates an environment that is not conducive to business. Merchants have slowly begun to move away from these sites. Now businesses have something to cheer about. Until now, there were no "social commerce network" online video models, and JunkTube caters to both personal and business social commerce only. There are many businesses which feel the need of selling via video but most of the businesses are wary of promoting their business through websites which were meant for personal fun and teen social networking and can not conduct serious business. Another factor which discouraged businesses to promote videos was the audience that visited the websites. The majority of the audience visited the sites for watching funny videos or catching up on their favorite music bands. Hence, it does not make sense for a business to promote its products on such sites because they are not business-user friendly. The business would not get the target audience of the product or service that it is trying to promote. Luckily, there is something currently on the Internet which is going to change the way you watch videos and conduct business. "The Social Commerce Network" video site will soon become a reality and businesses now have a place where they can promote their products using JunkTube. The social commerce network site will help personal homes and merchants sell anything from music videos to lawnmowers. It is definitely an innovative way of promoting the goods and services that you are trying to promote. It is possible to upload your video for members and visitors to see without the fear of sharing the same page with someone who is not interested. The members who visit the social commerce website will be genuine viewers who would be interested in either checking out or buying a product. JunkTube’s "social commerce network" video site is planning to charge a small membership fee for verification purposes, to ensure the quality of traffic that visits the sites. The site owners are also planning to have a check on the members to ensure that kids who are below a stipulated age do not become members of the site. Other parameters will also be checked to ensure the quality of membership through volunteered identification verification. The products or services that would be uploaded on the sites would also be screened before being displayed on the site. With so many measures in place, it will be possible to uphold the quality of the site and ensure that the products and services being sold are genuine and of high quality. This type of business model is exactly what companies and individuals interested in selling their products or services are in need of. Video is a great sales tool to promote products and services and presentation is the key to a successful business model. "The Social Commerce Network™" Video site is aimed at the single person selling an item to the business company selling multiple items. This promises to be a very lucrative and large market where anything goes including advertising which is a growing segment on the Internet and fast becoming the place to be.

The five basic principles of online marketing

Copyright 2006 Mark Nenadic Ask the experts about the most vital parts of online marketing, and you’ll invariably come up with a list of five major responses. These five critical online marketing principles are: 1. Dead-ends 2. Giving and selling 3. Trust 4. Push and pull 5. Niche marketing The dead-end principle means that your web marketing effort can’t just exist. It must give prospective customers a reason to look around and take action. Otherwise, it’s the same as having them see your ad, then turn around and go elsewhere – your ad was a dead-end to them, they didn’t get anything out of it. No matter how informative your website is, with gorgeous graphics and a winning layout, if it does not encourage your visitors to take certain actions, then it is just taking up web space and isn’t actually filling a purpose. Therefore, when you’re designing your web marketing strategy, before even building your site, you’ll need to ask yourself how you’ll obtain your visitors. You’ll then need to choose which activities will get you to these results, and which of them can be done in-house, as others are outsourced. The giving and selling principle refers to the fact that when people shop online, they expect to receive something a little extra. Therefore, one fantastic method for attracting customers to your website is to give something to them for free, and then attempt to sell them something else. The strategy typically goes as follows: the first step is to attract people to your site using a good amount of free information. The second step is to inform these prospective customers about your products and services. The free stuff doesn’t need to be something tangible. Even the information has value, and then once they’re hooked, they’re ready to learn about what you have to sell them. Trust is an extremely important principle for web marketing. In fact, many experts believe that it is the most important of all the other principles for selling your products and services. Without this trust, people simply won’t buy from you and you won’t have a business. Trust is built in a number of ways. This can include selling well known and respected name brands, by clearly displaying your privacy, shipping, and return policies, by joining well known and respected organizations, and by offering guarantees that you’ll stand by. A customer-friendly system based on quality and transparency allows you to build your credibility and will earn the trust of your prospective customers, leading to more sales of your products and services. The push and pull principle works by pulling people into your website using attractive content, and then pushing your information to them on a regular basis using email. This can be done in a number of ways; most commonly, this has to do with opt-in programs such as newsletters and updates about sales and other promotions. Since websites are relatively passive, it is extremely useful to add an active element to your marketing campaign that will remind your prospective customers of your existence, and entice them to act on what you have to offer. Niche marketing has become a vital part of the web marketing industry. It is a recognized fact that to be successful, especially with an online business, you need to know your niche, and market directly to them. With a small business, finding the niche must be filled in order to give them enough leverage against the competition. A niche allows a business, no matter how large or small, to focus on a certain corner of the marketplace, limiting the competition, and focusing on the precise type of person who is most likely to become a customer. The key to niche marketing is to begin with a business plan to identify and define your focus and purpose, and then build your website and marketing strategy based upon the vision you’ve outlined. This encourages consistency and accuracy throughout your web marketing efforts. All of these principles are very important to creating a successful marketing strategy online. By making sure that these principles are all fulfilled, you can be certain that you’ll increase your number of new visitors, and – perhaps more importantly – encourage past and current customers to return.

The fly the window of opportunity

Copyright 2006 1stPromotion One afternoon after going through a small backlog of emails, I was daydreaming about how it shouldn't be tough for absolutely anyone out there to make that first online sale and then to go on and make more and more sales. I feel bad for people that have paid money for some of the programs out there that promise to "stuff their wallets effortlessly" only to find that there is no free lunch. No autopilot riches. As I was daydreaming, I was watching a fly banging it's head into the window trying to get out. That fly wanted to get out of the confines of the house and get outside to enjoy the early Ontario spring day. No matter how hard the fly tried, or how hard it banged into the window, that fly was trapped in the confines of our house. The fly's desire to break free to a better world drove it to the glass. Little by little that fly was beating the life out of itself against my window. Futilely attempting to break out of the world it was confined to. No matter how hard it tried, there was no way that the fly was going to break through the glass and obtain its dream. After a while the fly stopped trying and just sat on the window. Was it content to just look at the freedom it could not achieve? Or was it stunned from the repeated beatings that it put itself through to try and break free? Without guidance, the fly was doomed to failure from the get-go as it had selected a closed window and was pouring all of it's efforts into getting through that closed window even though we know it is impossible. Here is the one small detail that will drive this point home. Less than 3 feet away was another window, except that one was open. That open window could lead that fly to its dream and its freedom. With just a bit of assistance and guidance, the fly was easily led to the open window and on to pursue it's goal. Well, this same situation holds true to most people's dreams of finding success on the web, they are just like that fly. Constantly banging their heads into dead-end opportunities rather than flying free to building the opportunity that allows them to achieve the freedom they dream of. But with a little bit of guidance and a helping-hand they can be led to open windows.

The formula the guru s use to market online

You see it in action every day, but have you ever taken a moment to pay attention to what todays online marketing "guru's" are doing, rather than just what they're saying? If you have, then you should be having no problems making money online, because the best way to become successful is by copying what other successful people are doing. Well, in case you haven't studied what these successful online marketers are doing, here's a breakdown of the basic formula... First of all, you need a product or service. If you don't have something to sell, how are you gonna get paid? If you don't have your own product or service, an affiliate program allows you to get paid for promoting someone else's products or services. They usually give you your own unique website url to send referrals to, and when one of your referrals makes a purchase, you get paid. It's really quite simple. When choosing an affiliate program, you should always look for some things about the company that runs it. For example, how long they've been in business; memberships they have with resolution companies such as The Better Business Bureau, Online Business Bureau, etc; how much and how often you'll get paid; among other things. The next thing you need is a website to promote your affiliate program. Yes, most of the time you'll be given a website url to promote the affiliate program, but using this as your main site will set you up for failure before you even begin! There are quite a few reasons for this, the biggest one being that you have no control over the content on that site. You can't keep track of your web stats, you can't optimize it for the search engines... you can't do anything but promote it! Basically what you want to do on this site is "presell" people to the product or service... make them want to buy! Give them reasons they can't go without it, or how much better life will be with it... give them bonuses if they order... use your immagination! Many times, even just recommending the product or service works best if you do it right. Sometimes, an affiliate program will pay you for the commissions of people that you refer to the affiliate program, as well as to the product or service. In this case, you'd also want to make a page on your website that "presells" people to the affiliate program. The next thing you need is an autoresponder. This is, by far, the most important part of running an online business. With an autoresponder, you can keep in contact with anyone who signs up to receive your messages for as long as they remain subscribers. Use your autoresponder to let your subscribers know of any specials, updates, etc. about your product, service, or affiliate program. This will keep your product, service, or affiliate program fresh in the minds of your subscribers, and this will lead to many more first time sales... and even better... repeat customers! Finally, you'll need a "lead capture page". Simply put, a "lead capture page" is the page you use to subscribe people to your autoresponder. You'll want to "presell" people to your autoresponder the same way you do for your product, service, or affiliate program. This is just a breakdown this formula. To take a look at this system in action, and learn how to set up and successfully run this entire system right now for free, visit my site at the url below. Pay attention not only to what I'm saying, but also what I'm doing for maximum results!

The four p in online marketing

: For those of you taking marketing classes, I am sure you are all very familiar with the 4 P's of marketing. They are Products, Place (Distribution), Promotion and Price. When you are marketing your website, you need to be aware of this four P. This four P helps you market your site effectively, just like when you are opening a retail store. Product. What is your site's product or service? Are you selling services, tangible goods or both? Are you giving out free service to turn your customers to buy your products? or vice versa. Are you giving both free service and products to drive visitors which will drive your advertising revenue?

Whatever you do, it is crucial to know your products so that you won't forget why you do all the promotion. Place. This is the distribution channel of your products or services. If you are giving out free contents, make sure you distribute it well.

If you merely post your content on your site, you are not using maximum distribution. Furthermore, if you are using unrelated forum or submission service to distribute your content, then you are wasting time. For example if you are distributing content about how to choose a credit card, you should be submitting your content to article submission service that specializes in finance first before distributing it elsewhere. This way, you will get a bunch of interested viewers instead of casual visitors. Promotion. One way I can think of is to pay a text-ad at another website to describe the superiority of your product or service.

Promotion normally involves spending money. Again, you need to focus your promotion on your core audience instead of blindly spending money on general audience. Price. This is the pricing strategy of your product or service. The pricing strategy is very dependent on the other P of online marketing.

If you are establishing yourself as a high-end mortgage lenders from the way you describe, distribute and promote your products, then your price should reflect that. In online marketing, the 'place' aspect costs little or no money. This amazes me. For example, to create awareness of your website, you can list it to hundreds to thousands of free web directories. For content distribution, you can sign up and submit your article for free at various article submission service.

The future of creative advertising in search of the next million dollar idea

On Friday, the 26th of August, the concept of the Million Dollar Home Page appeared and it revolutionized online advertising forever. The concept, created by Alex Tew, was simple, for one dollar you can purchase one pixel and there will only be one million pixels available. A minimum purchase is a 100 pixel block, which will link back to whichever website you specify. At the beginning it was not clear it would work, but amazingly it did. It came out of nowhere and became unbelievable successful within a span of few months. Once the website had reached the awaited million dollar mark, the number of sites that copied the idea would almost match that amount. Scattering all over the World Wide Web, none of these duplicate sites proved to be successful as they all began to fail miserably. Some sites would be a simple twist on the idea, and others would be a direct duplicate with a different name. Regardless, it remained clear that no one would find the same success and the hope for another site to reap the same outcome became bleak. Was it simply a fad, or was it just a matter of time before new, and more exciting and innovative ideas would appear? It was mid March, seven months after Alex Tew’s creation, when the next big idea began to appear on the Internet. The game is different this time, but focuses strictly on innovative advertising. The idea of Take the Spot, imagined and created by Pratik Naik, began to be gain popularity all over the Internet. It has already been proclaimed as the next Million Dollar idea. Rightfully so, Take the Spot’s growth has already been staggering within the first ten days of opening. Receiving over thousands of hits and hundreds of dollars, the website is off to a phenomenal start. We had the pleasure to interview Mr. Naik and asked him to tell us more about his inspiration for the creation of this idea, “I wanted to create a source of advertising that thought of the people first, and not only focusing on my personal gains. Sites that are simply made to copy the success of Alex Tew do not work because people know that it does not benefit the investor, but only the site owner and they are smart enough to see that. It was about time advertisers found a website that could first and foremost benefit them. I took examples of many successful business models along with popular websites and analyzed their success, I found a formula that not only worked, but enhanced it so that it would benefit the advertisers even more. I wanted to create the most cost effective way to advertise on the Internet, and this is what I have come up with. Most sites out there are only made for personal benefit, so I turned the focus around to you, the buyer/advertiser. With the mindset of an investor looking for the most cost effective solution, Take the Spot was made.” With innovative websites such as Take the Spot and Million Dollar Home Page, focused to help advertisers bring in more traffic while only spending a minimal amount, the future of creative advertising seems as though it has just begun. Some people believe it is just a fad, and others believe it is here to stay. As long as more people with innovative minds such as Alex Tew and Pratik Naik continue to develop their ideas, this trend in creative advertising will become the norm.
